Gold Vault Inn

This place was worth it. We drove 45 minutes after our concert to stay at a hotel that was within our budget but still rated highly. Alexia at the front desk is a gem, and this place actually served a complimentary breakfast. We got in too late to hit the pool, but would definitely recommend this funky inn to anyone lucky enough to be traveling through. 🌟

The Gold Vault is a nice hotel. Our king room is spacious and clean. The bed is comfortable and they have a regular blanket on the beds instead of those horrible duvets that are too hot in summer and winter. The staff that we have interacted with have been courteous and helpful. We will stay here again if we travel to this area.

My family was pleasantly surprised with Gold Vault Inn! Everything was very clean, and the staff was friendly. We didn't use the pool, but it was open. The breakfast was subpar, but having a fresh waffle is always a plus so it was good enough for me. We'd stay here again!

I stayed here with my family, and we absolutely love it here! The pool is right by the rooms, so it was great for my younger siblings, as we could easily watch them from our room. We were moving to Fort Knox, so having a good place to stay was great after nearly a week of driving.

I travel quite a bit for work and I love hot tubs. I choose where I stay pretty much based off hot tub reviews, so I went with this hotel. Staff was so helpful. Hotel was really nice. Room was very clean and cozy. But the important part.... the hot tub was absolutely awesome. I had the whole area to myself at night, quiet, low lighting, great jets. It was amazing. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town and im hoping they will put me in one of those old school poolside rooms next time. Place was great. Thanks so much!

My stay was absolutely amazing. Until check out. The pregnant first shift lady left me sitting there while she went home and didn’t tell the others what I was waiting for so I waited almost 40 minutes to check out. Not to mention she was barking orders and belittling the night shift desk clerk in front of customers and her co workers. Other than that it was great. Good food amazing service and clean pool.

We had a great stay at this vintage hotel. Like most, I was leary to book a 2 star hotel with a price tag of only $90/night but let me tell you --- you won't be disappointed! Yes, the hotel is more of a vintage feel with older decor, but don't let that fool you. This place was CLEAN! I have stayed at many other "big name" hotels where the cleanliness wasn't comparable. Housekeeping even came each morning to vacuum, change out towels, make beds, etc. They aren't doing that at the big name chains right now either.

The breakfast was plentiful and hot each morning, the pool area was clean, not overpowering with a chlorine smell and the pool was HUGE! My son was very excited about the pool size & that there was a hot tub. Not to mention, there were no issues with noise or other guests.

But to top off our stay, was the friendliness of the staff. Everyone was kind and accommodating. It was a fresh breath of hospitality that is so hard to come by anymore these days. I'm really glad that we stayed here and will continue to keep the Gold Vault Inn as a hidden gem for fort knox / radcliff / elizabethtown trips. Thank you for a great stay!

When I booked this, had no idea what this inn was really like. We were amazed with staff and the rooms. I had called and said we would be late checking in. They said no problem. When we got there 1 room wasn't cleaned and they had a full house. Never missed a beat, they gave 1 room an executive room. Very Nice at the same price. Breakfast was good with bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles and much more. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The Pool was amazing. Gas prices are much lower here. Enjoy We were here for our grand-daughter graduation from Army Advance Training. .

I'm rating the Gold Vault Inn 5/5 based on my needs for a 5 day work trip with the family in tow. We needed a place for the kids to have something to do (swimming pool) and for my spouse to drop me off at Fort Knox without having to drive far. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. The indoor pool is one the largest I have seen in a hotel and it was always clean. The interior of the hotel was dark and in need of an update, as mentioned in most other reviews. However, it fit the needs of our stay. In our case, my kids saw the pool and they were sold. My wife and I saw the place was very clean despite being older and we were willing to try it out. I'm was glad we did. There are "updated" hotels about five or 10 minutes away but, they either didn't have a pool, the pool was very small, or were further from Fort Knox.

Beautiful lobby and general decor with some souvenirs available. Large indoor pool with large skylights and outdoor sun patio with games like corn hole. Room was very large for one bed and staff were happy to bring a rollaway for possible extra guest. But the best part was the full breakfast buffet! Hot scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffle maker, biscuits and gravy, milk, apple juice, orange juice, coffee. Excellent sanitation with food handling gloves available and serving utensils were properly placed. Hotel, room, and pool were very clean and had no odors. Location is just a minute or two from the Ft Knox entrance.

Great staff and super cool manager. We hold monthly meetings in their conference room and we always enjoy our time at the Gold Vault. Keep up the great work you guys.

The rooms they have are great! Very clean, has lots of amenities that the average traveler would need, and the room with access right to the pool area is perfect! It allows us to quickly visit with family without having to walk all around the building. The staff has been very friendly since we checked in and does a great job at making sure their guests are well taken care of.

The place is old and they beds were full instead of queen. But the room was super clean. The staff was nice. Plenty of pillows and the free breakfast was top notch. We didn't swim but the pool is fantastic.

The staff was so friendly. I believe the night gentleman was a manager. He said you came in as a guest, and you leave as one of the family. So very kind.

Giving 5 stars for the customer service, cleanliness, breakfast and indoor pool. Do the rooms need a little updating? Yes but they are super clean and have flat screen smart TVs and a good amount of space!!! Really was a great place to stay while attending a training on post very convenient!!!

Nice establishment, very clean, easy check in, staff was very nice. Loved the pool and jacuzzi! 5 minutes to Fort Knox Military base which was my reason for coming. We enjoyed our stay!!

Breakfast was great and rooms are wonderful, if a little old fashioned. I like it just as it is. They have a heated, indoor pool and a terrific staff. Lucinda did an excellent job of making some special accommodations for us, and we are grateful to her and the rest.

Very nice hotel. Free breakfast and a indoor pool! Staff was very friendly and a smile on their face. Breakfast was really good and the breakfast worker was wonderful, food was never gone, she made the waffles, and if needed anything she would get it for you. Rooms were very clean and air-conditioning and the tv were working great. The housekeeping checked my room and made it pretty. VERY WONDERFUL HOTEL!

Its a nice place with a retro feel. Staff are very friendly, the pool and hit tub area is a great place to swim or to relax. The rooms are clean and breakfast is always hot and ready in the morning. 10/10 would recommend or stay at again.

These last two weeks I've had nothing but a positive experience at this hotel. The front desk clerk's named Marissa was super nice and always a big help on what to do in town and helping me with any issues that was going on at the hotel. She made sure to greet me every time I came in and left and when your in the military those things really help, "as we are not always around our families." Thx for a great experience.
