Dr Lance was amazing. Brought two of my dogs here and they were quick and honest and most of all knowledgeable. Highly recommend for all pet owners.

This little veterinarian office is quaint, well staffed. The Vets are thorough and truly seem to care and love the pets that come in for help. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and patient. I enjoyed the fact that they spread the appointments out so that the waiting room is never over crowded. I needed a urine sample from my female rescue, Lailai, but couldn't bend and squat fast enough to get one. One of the staff members came outside & patiently walked my dog with me until I got one - that was an unexpected surprise.

Dr. Weidenbaum was very kind and neutered my dog Ollie through the Broward County Snip Program. Everything went very smoothly. Everything, even removing stitches by tech. Adam who was super friendly, couldn’t have been better. Highly recommend this vet.

We took our dog "Lulu" to be spayed 2 weeks ago. The service of the vet and assistant was excellent. The recovery was perfect! She never new about her surgery! 100% recommended! Thank you very much

My husband and I had to unfortunately had to have our cat euthanized. Going to Deer Run was meant to be. They treated us with the greatest kindness i could have asked for. They treated a truly horrible situation with so much grace. Dr. Lance explained everything with so much empathy. I could not thank him enough. I wish I met him while my cat was well.

After having a horrible experience with a mobile vet in Pompano, my husband and I decided to schedule our kittens spay and neuter with Deer Run Animal Hospital instead and I’m so happy we did! We are very pleased with the service we received and we felt comfortable leaving our kittens with them for their surgeries. Glad we found a great vet in our area!

12 1/2 yr old dog Juno had her first teeth cleaning. She won't otherwise open her mouth so we had to get it done. Had 9 teeth pulled. Dr. Shaaf did a great job, and both he and Dr. Lance were very responsible to our nervous inquiries. Definitely recommend, and much less expensive than for example, Coral Springs Animal Hospital.

My husband and I adopted a cat on Sunday from Broward County Animal Care and Adoption. We named her Fiona. She’s about a year old and had multiple pelvic fractures after what they assumed to be vehicular trauma. We chose Deer Run Animal Hospital for Fiona’s post-adoption vet visit and we are glad that we did. We initially scheduled an appointment for next week, but after noticing Fiona’s eye was a bit squinty, we assumed she might have conjunctivitis or a URI and called back to try to get her in sooner. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating, and managed to squeeze us in for yesterday at 4:30pm. Due to Covid-19, Deer Run required us to call from our vehicle when we arrived, fill out a ‘new client’ form, and they would then take Fiona inside for her exam. We were advised that the doctor would then call us while we were inside our vehicle to discuss any findings or recommendations. We were pleasantly surprised when Dr. Lance came out to our vehicle instead to discuss Fiona. We ended up doing some follow-up x-rays and updating her vaccines. Her x-rays showed significant improvement on her hips, but she was full of poop (as we expected since she hasn’t yet used her litter box.) Dr. Lance gifted us some canned food and recommended a specific litter for Fiona to entice her to use the bathroom. We did just that, and she pooped overnight. Her Christmas gift to us. We called the hospital to update them, and Dr. Lance got on the phone with me directly. He is very genuine and caring. Most vets will just reiterate a message to a technician or receptionist for a client on the phone, so that was really nice. Pretty sure we found Fiona’s permanent vet. I have been going to Deer Run Animal Hospital for over 4 years now. I trust them completely and will only consider them when it comes to both of my dogs' wellbeing. Dr. Weidenbaum is the kindest man and genuinely cares about your pets, and Dr. Shaff's extensive knowledge and thoroughness is outstanding and impressive. Both Candee and Sabrina are joys and always have a smile on their face.
When my English Bulldog developed head tremors, Dr. Weidenbaum worked endlessly to diagnose him and get him the proper treatment.
My French Bulldog came into contact with a Bufo Toad this morning and had a very scary, awful reaction. I immediately called Deer Run Animal Hospital, and Sabrina asked me to bring in my baby immediately. My frenchie began to have seizures in the car and was not looking good. Sabrina had prepped everything, ready for our arrival, and was waiting outside for us when we pulled up. She immediately took my frenchie and started to save her life. Sabrina and Dr. Shaff worked amazingly on my pup and saved her. Sabrina really went above and beyond to help my frenchie. They allowed me to sit with my baby the entire time, and never once rushed me out or asked me to leave. You don't find this type of service just anywhere! I am so incredibly grateful for Dr. Shaff and Sabrina's outstanding work! They saved my frenchie!
So many of us look at our "fur babies" as our children. And, sometimes it is difficult to know who you can trust when it comes to your child's health and wellbeing. I would never hesitant in fully trusting and relying on the team at Deer Run Animal Hospital - their knowledge, experience, and kind hearts are unlike any other vet I have experienced. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality veterinarian!

Dr. Lance Weidenbaum is a very kind person. He has taken great care of my dog Ellie every time I bring her in. He is a true profesional and geniunely cares about people and his animal patients. I recommend greatly!

I have an eighteen year old mainecoon. , she is my baby girl even more now since I lost my husband in 2013. last week I had the worst experience in my life which turned out to be the best. molly had a cyst on her neck for a very long time and at some point last week it burst, the smell and look was terrible and I was so worried about taking her to a vet in Deerfield because of her age and stressing her from seeing a different doctor for the first time. well a little bird brought me to dr. lance and assistant Sabrina and turned out to be the best experience ever. I was hysterically crying knowing my baby could have cancer and had to have surgery. dr lance was so attentive to molly's needs as well as mine. he did everything possible to make sure she would survive the surgery, with exrays and blood work. after all the results came back, I have never been more confident leaving her in his and Sabrina's hands. she was so well cared for and will make a full recovery. dr lance said he treats his animals as if they were his own and yes he did. I would recommend anyone in the state of florida to take their pet/child to deer run animal hospital. it is worth the drive and the care.

2017 Update: I have to say again that I am so grateful for this veterinarian, which is one of the few remaining privately owned practices in the area; most are now owned by big corporations with their own agendas. The Deer Run doctors strive to do what is best for your pet, whether you just need a vaccine or your pet is sick and needs laboratory tests. I can never thank them enough for the care they give to my animals.

I've been a client of the Deer Run Animal Hospital since I moved into the neighborhood in 2008. I have five cats, some of them elderly, so I am at the vet's office pretty frequently. Drs. Weidenbaum and Schaff do a great job - they complete thorough exams, ask a lot of questions, and offer great advice for helping my old moggies stay healthy and happy. Services I've gotten from them and their staff include regular shots and checkups, surgeries, laboratory tests and X-rays, dental work, and I have boarded animals there as well. The technicians, Candee and Sabrina, have been there for years, and they show genuine affection and kindness to every animal that comes through the door. I recommend Deer Run Animal Hospital and urge you to give them a try.
