Publix Pharmacy at Palmetto Park Square

I was due for my second covid vaccine and unable to get it at my dr office. Anita the pharmacist was so sweet and squeezed me in without hesitation. She was so kind and sweet. I have never used publix pharmacy to fill medications but after this positive experience I definitely will only use them!

We use this pharmacy for all our prescriptions and have always found them to be wonderful. In the rare cases when we have a medication that they can't fill, they have helped me find it in other locations, or called the doctor for alternatives on my behalf. In the 10+ years we have used them, I rarely have had to wait long or any type of issue. Love the convenience of grocery shopping while I wait!

This is my family's go-to pharmacy. Everyone working here is super patient and nice. The store is spacious and clean.

Good pharmacy

I’m grateful that they occasionally stock my Morphine script; but they unfortunately treat me poorly like I’m a.drug addict because of the opioid stigma. I have to tolerate it because other pharmacies sporadically carry this medicine.

I have been extremely gracious with this pharmacy for over a year but it’s gotten to the point where I will be changing pharmacies due to this locations inability to provide me my medications. Multiple times I have gone in to pick up my medications and the male pharmacy manager looked at me and went right back to doing work on his computer completely ignoring my existence. I understand they may be understaffed or he was in the middle of something but it is common decency to say “ hello, I will be with you in just a moment,” or at the minimum just acknowledge me. Secondly I have had a male technician ask me to my face why I was taking the medication I was picking up and warned me about it. This was extremely unprofessional and honestly none of his business. Never in my life have I had to call to have my meds refilled right after my provider sent in a prescription but for some reason lately that’s the excuses I have received from the manager and workers as to why I haven’t been able to have my medication. This wouldn’t be an issue for me to do but whenever i call I’m put on hold for 30 minutes which at that point I know they’ve forgotten I’m on hold so I have to recall and wait another 30 minutes and still not get my medication. I’ve worked for Publix in the past and this is not the customer service I had been trained to provide. It’s really sad I had to call the customer service manager to get my phone call answered at the pharmacy. Do better Publix. Paying customers shouldn’t be deprived or jump through obstacles to get the medication that allows us to function on a day to day basis.

This is the worst Publix pharmacy I have ever used. I almost want to transfer to one further away that’s how horrible the customer service has been. Every single time I go to pick up my prescription there has been an issue. On 4/27 I went in person to discuss why over a week my prescription hadn’t been filled, and they claimed because one of the medications was not ready for refill. However, the other two were but they were not going to fill those until the third was ready. I never requested the third to be filled FYI. While I understand this may be out of their control, it was like pulling teeth to get that answer. Considering one of the medications was for sleep, they initially said it could not be filled until 5/2. After I stated it was for sleep, they could suddenly fill it in 15 minutes. An occasion following this incident, I decided to prepay to interact with the employees less. However, noticing there were several people in line I waited my turn. When I arrived to the counter the employee stated that next time I need to just walk up and he will hand it to me. The next time I needed to pick up, I did just that (walk to the counter for prepaid), and the employee told me that he’ll be with me in a second, places a sign up stating that the pharmacist would be back soon and stood in the back. This was around 2:30, so maybe it was a break. However, it felt targeted. He literally stood there for 10 minutes on his phone. My last straw was 7/2, I placed an order for curbside pickup. I’m currently covid positive and feel uncomfortable coming into the store. When I called curbside number, they stated only the pharmacy could deal with this order and she would transfer me. I waited 10 minutes on hold, no answer. I call their number directly, was placed on hold for another 10 minutes. I waited a total of 40 minutes from the time they stated to give them, and finally had to call husband to go inside and pick it up (again, I’m covid positive). He stated it was THE SAME EMPLOYEE WHO CONSTANTLY GIVES ME ISSUES and there was only one customer in line. The employee motioned with his finger to my husband, handed him the prescription immediately. Why was I waiting 40 minutes??????

The pharmacists at this location are qualified and very helpful, however it is severely understaffed. I was instructed today to find a different pharmacy because they cannot manage their current patient load. Hopefully things will change in the future, but at this point I will be changing pharmacies.

Worst pharmacy in the country. The employees must be mutes because they just nod their heads or say "yep no nah" as replies to serious medical questions. The store in general is managed very poorly, not a single employee is engaged in their work and look miserable.

It would be fine if there was a problem once in awhile but every single time there is some problem and then the staff, especially Kenny and Sara are mean, have no idea how to resolve and the pharmacist Anita comes over and starts yelling at you. Today was that "the Doctor was wrong - your medicine doesn't come in tablets!!" and "The Doctor sent over the wrong birthday" and that's why we filled your wrong prescription twice. All attitude and no solutions.

I personally had an inconvenient visit because I called to see if my Rx was ready, they said yes and when I arrived...I waited 1hr! I do understand that mistakes happen but what I saw while standing in that line was extremely concerning. One person was given the wrong medication because the pharmacist failed to check a birthdate, another customer was told they had her script ready and when she arrived they said they didn’t even have it in stock. I personally think the people working at this pharmacy while very friendly are either overworked or incompetent. I will not be trusting them with my medications going forward.

When I went to get my kid's medicine, there was a bag of ALMONDS on the counter where they mix the antibiotics. very bad ethical practice. If a person would get an allergic reaction, it would probably blamed on the medication, but there is always a possibility that it could have been the nuts.

They never answer a call, and if they do, they will put you on hold for at least half an hour

The colored pharmacist is not a nice person, she was and is VERY rude and unprofessional.

Horrible…this pharmacy is the worst!
