Maw's Vittles

This little place in downtown Brooksville is awesome. The food is great and the help is outstanding. Our waitresses whose stage name is Whitney was one of the best I've ever seen in any restaurant. The Craziest thing is her real name is the same as her stage name. Makes it easier for people like me remember her name. She was extremely attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. She coached us on substitutions with enthusiasm not seen in mom and pop local huts. As my guest was just moving into her new home in Brooksville, Whitney welcomed her to they neighborhood with her attituded and verbal hugs. Maw's Vittles is already a local favorite, Whitney makes it that much more special.

Good food portions and prices! 2 eggs grits and hash, crispy on the edges the way I like it! (Says wife). Been a long time since I've been here, good to see quality is the same. Our server AG was very nice.

I had a full order of biscuits and gravy, a stack of 2 pancakes with fried apples on top, hash browns with cheddar, onions, and mushrooms with 2 eggs over medium with a piece of blackened catfish.

The biscuits were incredible baked with only the truest love. The home made sausage gravy, herbaceous peppery sausage nestled in the absolute perfect texture of gravy, fluffy, delicious, warm.

The cakes.. oh those warm fluffy delicious, sweet flap Jack's with just the right amount of everything you could ever want.
The fried apples on top may be the best I've ever had the privilege of enjoying.

Let's talk about those immaculate fried shredded potatoes for a minute. Those potatoes were crispy, perfectly portioned, exceptionally flavored, the onions, mushrooms and cheese, those onions were perfect and the mushrooms had a really great sear the cheese perfectly melted.

The eggs were a flawless over medium.

The catfish, the catfish guys, oh my God the catfish!
It was the single greatest piece of fish that I have ever had the opportunity, no the honor, of consuming. The fish was cooked to perfection buttery, flaky, sweet, tender, juicy, just incredible!

Finally the service I received was unparalleled. Christina was sweet, warm, kind, friendly, respectful, never let my drink go dry, her interactions with her regulars and the way she handled my order indicates someone who absolutely loves their job. She was truly exceptional. Everything about my experience was warm, loving, thoughtful, and welcome. I 100% recommend!

I could live here. Baked apples are amazing, catfish was perfect. Reasonable prices!

Maws Vittles has a very friendly atmosphere. The food is very good, The chicken fried steak is wonderful. We usually go there for a late breakfast but they have some very good lunch specials too. They have something for everyone.They are only open till 1:00 PM so get in there early. The coffee is good and hot and the sweet tea is delicious. Never had a bad meal there, ever. Good eats

We loved this place food was great prices were very good for the portions and quality. All the staff was friendly and quick. They have a fish fry from 430 to 8pm on Friday. They are open till 130 pm

All I can say is great staff and great food. This is a local diner so if your into fancy dont go. BUT if you enjoy well made food and down to earth people definitely check it out. Only been there for breakfast and both times were fantastic. Pancakes 🥞 !

Homemade food is what I prefer so this little place is for me. It's not a fast food chain. Its REAL food served here. Prices are fair. Food is good and all staff are awesome in every way. It's a cozy little place . And the all u can eat fish fry fridays is a dinner not to miss. Yummy

The food is great and way more than we could ever eat! This is my dad's favorite place to get his breakfast. Now I understand why. Our next trip to Florida will definitely include a trip here!

They have a excellent cook
Not fancy, thank goodness. Just good ole real food prepared properly. Even the coffee is good AND they have half n half. Butter, BUTTER, on pancakes which are not prepared on a flat grill with fat, ugh.

When ever I have spare time I come here to eat. Sure the food isn't a five star quality, but it destroys NY appetite at a wonderful price that can't be beat. It has a wonderful dinner feel and good staff. The waitresses are wonderful.

I love Maws, every time my family goes there we are treated like family ourselves, the servers are amazing and such sweethearts. Due to the virus we’ve ordered to go but the ladies are still extra sweet, the food is always good & we will always go there.

great taste of food!!!! all 3 of us had different brkfast. n all was plus 20 n service was plus 20 cant go wrong here for sure!!! prices are well worth it for sure mega cleaning soon as someone left there table was game on def will return great sunday am out thanks !!!!.

Delicious breakfast served with a smile. Prices are very reasonable. We'll definitely be back.
We rode the Good Neighbor Trail from the Withlacoochee State Forest to Brooksville and Ma Vittles was worth the ride.

Great environment, food is always good and cooked to order. Prices are good for portion size. It doesn’t matter how busy you they are, the waitresses are always smiling and friendly.

Great home style meals with good selection and reasonable prices. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. This is a rustic place that comes with all of that charm

Yum,Yum and large portions too. Go on Friday all u can eat fish.Very busy so go early right at 4:30 or later about 6:30. Parking not great but food makes up for it--Happy eating.

We just found this restaurant. It has wonder staff who waits on tables, they are. Very attentive to their customers needs. The Food!! De-lis-lisd!!! Portions are good
