We went for an unveiling of a close friend. As we were searching for our loved one, a young gentleman named Michael was so kind in helping us find the location.
The property is so very well maintained and well kept.

Loosing a loved one is a life altering experience. The staff and Rabbi Lyons extended the kindest and consoling services to my family. I can't say enough about how wonderful and considerate everyone was. My sister-in-law was laid to rest with the respect, dignity and the love she deserved thanks to everyone at South Florida Jewish Cemetery.

After my husband unexpectedly passed away we needed to find a Jewish cemetery. I knew of the ones already in the area, but was interested in this new cemetery because I had watched them build it and it was close to my home. We contacted SFJC and what an awesome group of people! They took a grieving family and offered nothing but compassion and solace. We aren’t Orthodox but that made not one bit of difference to them. They took wonderful care of both my husband and the family. Thank you, Rabbi Lyons and staff. Your kindness will always be remembered.

My wife and I were touched by the way the facility was able to accommodate our wishes and needs. Our loved one passed on a Thursday and was buried the next day according to Jewish tradition, not allowing for people to be able to attend the funeral. However, Rabbi Lyons and the staff were kind enough to allow us to conduct a grave site memorial service 2 weeks after. Rabbi Lyons made us feel comforted both times and we are so grateful to him for that.

We had a lovely experience with Rabbi Lyons and the staff at SFJC. From start to finish the rituals were straightforward and authentic in the most fundamental and meaningful way. Every interaction we had was infused with kindness and a genuine desire to provide a ritual that was sourced from tradition without fussiness. Only some members of our family are Orthodox, but Rabbi Lyons made sure everyone felt connected to the transition we were all present to participate in.

South Florida Cemetery truly changed this incredibly sad process to something I felt my mother would be proud of. I could not find a place that had the heart and mind to make this manageable and smooth. Rabbi Lyons and Rabbi Miller performed a beautiful ceremony for us and I felt that I was laying my mother to rest the way she would have wanted it. I couldn’t be happier with the decision we made to be a part of this special place. The people at South Florida Cemetery will always be in my heart. THANK YOU 🙏🏻

I've never heard someone say, "the cemetery was really fantastic" until my cousin managed through the death of his mother-in-law.
When there was a delay in the Zoom link, they answered the phone quickly and the employee took immediate responsibility to find out what was wrong (and fix it).
The workers by the grave proactively managed the dirt mound so it was easier for the attendees to shovel in their final act of levaya.
And multiple family members commented on how the tenet of not using machinery for digging gave tremendous comfort that each stage of the process was loving and personal.
Never seen anything like it.

Proper Jewish burial - simple, dignified and long overdue in south florida. Rabbi Lyons and his staff are "menschen" I would give them 10 stars, if I could.
