Main Library

I love this library because of the large children's books room and it's sheer size. We stopped by for the local authors event and enjoyed live music, performances and more. As Arthur used to say, "having fun isn't hard, when you've got a library card".

Huge and tall. One of the biggest public libraries in Miami area.

I want to say a huge thanks to the staff of the library and the security guard who went above and beyond to help retrieve my sons phone that had been stolen while he was in the library courtyard. They looked a cc tv footage for him and saw who had taken his phone and were instrumental in getting it back the next day. 10/10 is what I can say and my son also commented on how kind everyone was to him. Thank you again!!!

I was delighted to find the variety of titles in Spanish in the public library here. I got my card today and intend to make use of this amazing public service. I am glad that it’s available to all of us.

I loved my experience at the library. I just moved to Miami a year ago and when I discovered the great options that the library offers to the users I was gagging.

You can borrow 30 books at the same if you want and take them home with you! They have a big selection of books, documents, newspapers, magazines and more, in several languages, as Miami is.

You can access to the technology sources with laptops, computers, iPads and projectors if you need them.

The place is quiet, big enough to have your own space and navigates between all the universes of the books that you have on hand with them.

You just have to create an account and They will give you access to all you need.

And the BEST.....Everything is FREE! 💓

But the first thing first chrome book returned now I'm back on regular desktop computer finding out his review right now with my own business email

Very big library with lots of choice. Very big Spanish department and classic books from international writers. Big department for kids and teens. They even gave lunch (some sandwiches I guess) for free when we were there. Only negative that there are too many homeless people..

They are very helpful at the Library. Whenever you need to know anything about the computer, the scanner, the printer, how to use the computer etc , they are always very helpful & co- operative. It is a pleasure going to the Library. These people that work there are committed.

The library card is free with a Florida ID. Free Wi-Fi available + they have an enormous selection of books, DVDs, and computers with updated software and internet access perfect for resesrch amd homework.

Great place. Parking $5 all day if parking pass is stamped by Library. Wonderful architecture. An area with racks to park bicycles out front.

Nice place with a museum across the court yard ……just an amazing place!!!

This library is always an enjoyable place to work.

We were traveling from Miami International Airport and needed a day to work from. So I searched near me and decided to work for a day at Miami Dade Public Library.
It is a vast library with 2 floors along with different seating options, different options of books, documents, newspapers and magazines in several languages and has free wifi which helps people to work from Library.
The service was excellent from Knowledgable staff and is always ready to help people. Public computers, photocopier machine and printers are readily available for use.
First floor can be crowded but second floor is quiet and amazing place to work from.
They also have a vast parking included with museum which is a great place plus the library is in miami downtown and there are lot of eating options available near the library.
Only problem is homeless people which you could see in library and restrooms can be bad.

This library is great. All of the workers know their jobs very well. They strive to help and guide the clients and keep this library very clean and efficient. The variety of books is very vast and the librarians will not stop at anything to assist us. This is one of the best places to visit in Miami.

A really beautiful library. The children's section is organized so so well! We love it! The library has 2 stories and lots of computers for plenty of people to work. There is also a charging station/work bench. There are always really great activities and events at the library. Just today, there was a kids art class from 4 to 5! Make sure to check in online or sign up for their emails to get informed!

Is excellent place for everybody, very secure with cameras, police, quiet place and they help a lot to the kids servings tutoring, books advisers, very nice and educated people I am being around this place with my kids for more than 13 years....I CAN SAY THIS IS MY SECOND HOUSE FOR MY AND MY KIDS, plus the library is located in the heart of downtown with all access transportation around you.
CAME IS FUN WITH A LOT ACTIVITY AROUND.

They have Vax 305 services but you have too go there at 9:00 a.m and out your name on the list and then come back at 12:00p.m but before you go see the social workers in the back at 12:00 you have too first register with the Homeless Trust! After you register with them then you start the process! The number is 311 you have too call everyday but do that first Mrs.Sheeba is a great social worker hands down

Colorful place but a good resource. The librarians speak loud enough to hear & the patrons there are diverse & lively! The book selection is limited but the library system isn't & there's plenty of digital books online to enjoy! There's no place like it!

Great staff, helpful too. This library is spacious and filed with lots of resources. Only suggestion is their hours should be until 8 like the sister branches.
