I had the half rack ribs and Louisiana BBQ and a side of white Mac & cheese. Wings had good flavor just wish it had been a bit more well done. The ribs was cooked perfect, the sauce had bit of sweetness. The white Mac & cheese was so cheesy and has a fluffy dense texture which was perfect. The atmosphere reminds you of a simpler time in America. Great place to take your family for dinner.

This was a great experience. I always hesitate on oysters in a half shell if not near the ocean but we are celebrating our 25th anniversary and said let’s do it. We will be back and it really satisfied our authentic seafood and Cajun desire. We had a 45 minute wait but the restaurant had an adjoining flea market. We bought a few things and as we were checking out- our table was ready. I gave the atmosphere a 4 just because the booth’s were separated by curtains. I think this could have been done differently but this definitely did not interfere with the taste. It was amazing! Thank you for having such a great restaurant.

The swamp water drill in Cincinnati is a definite must visit. The Louisiana atmosphere and Cajun food is awesome. We had a party of eight. We quickly sat and served. The service was awesome and I can’t say enough about the food. I know some people said they didn’t like the tea, but I love the sweet tea. And the jambalaya was the best.

Suggested by my colleague as I am not a seafood person, but decided to tag along for the fun. The restaurant looks deceiving on the outside because it looks like a run down building. As soon as you see the parking lot you know that's not the case as it was full of cars. I was surprised because within the building there is an antique mall to shop at. We did not go inside because it was closed.
The bar was pretty amazing it was filled with people laughing and having a good time. The restaurant had a 40 minute wait for us to get a seat. My buddies got a combo platter that had crawfish, crab, and shrimp. Looks and smelt amazing, I did have a piece of corn that was baked in the same Cajun seasoning and it was spicy and tasty. Ultimately I ended up getting a cheeseburger which was pretty good, but if you're into seafood and Cajun food this place is pretty awesome. I even rescued my buddy from being eaten by an alligator at the entrance!! so beware.

This place has great food. If you are looking for that southern and cajun style this is it. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Gator Bites appetizer with sauce was great! Then had some fried catfish with jambalaya and grits that were creamy. Overall it was amazing. Will definitely be back when visiting.

If you love cajun food you need to go here. We had oysters on the half shell, cajun catfish with crawfish etoffoue, greens, jambalaya. And pulled pork, mac n cheese, red beans and rice and corn bread. Everything was delicious, service was fast and friendly, we will definitely be back!

This was my first time at Swampwater and it did not disappoint. First off the beer was cold, the food was excellent, and the service was great. We had Alligator Bites, Grilled Oysters, and Swamp Pasta. I highly recommend all three.

Food is great! The jalapeno poppers and gator bites are delicious and I love the dipping sauce that it comes with! My go to is the Bayou Shrimp Tomahawk Pork Chop and you can’t go wrong with the Mac and cheese! Love this place and while you wait there is a little shop you can look at. It’s one of my favorite things about this place!

Clean, quaint "on the bayou" ambiance. Attentive, friendly servers and bartenders. (Nick was the bomb, and he's cute!) The food was served hot, fresh and delicious - my catfish was fried to perfection, the cheese grits were to die for, and the collard greens were tender and tasted as close to homemade as one could expect at a restaurant. The thing I most appreciate about the food here is that it's FLAVORFUL. There is a balance of herbs, spices, and salt, not just the overly salty taste that I've experienced at similar restaurants. I can't wait to return and try some of the other menu items. Oh, and don't forget to order a Swamp Juice (or two) in the keepsake jar!

The parking lot was full of cars in the smells coming from the restaurant were amazing. The host was great so there was an hour wait we got in in about 30 minutes. We got a cocktail before we sat down the bar service was great. We talked to some regulars, however there were a lot of first timers like us. The food was absolutely amazing I thought I was in New Orleans! A must try, You will not be disappointed. Please try the jalapeno appetizers.. amazing. I've never had catfish etouffee but it was great.

Eight friends met at Swampwater Grill for dinner tonight and it did not disappoint. We had the fried oysters and jalapeno poppers as appetizers and both were fantastic. I had grilled shrimp pasta that was wonderful and my husband had fried catfish with Caesar salad and white mac & cheese. He cleaned his plate but I had plenty of food for a take home box as the portion was huge and really delicious. Friends had other entrees that were just as tasty. Chris, our waiter, was amazing! (and just as cute as Nick!). He got all of our 8 orders perfect with just the right mix of attentive and prompt service without any rushing. He was a delight - kind, funny, efficient and totally profesional. Can't say enough good things about Swampwater. Fun atmosphere with great food and service. What more could you want? We will all be back!

1st time visiting here. Definitely will return. I had the Da Bowl of gumbo, and a side of collard greens. Also a side of crawfish etouffee. All tremendous. We had the gator bites and pretzels for appetizers and they were great as well. Restaurant definitely has a cajun fee to it with the decor. Damn good food. Wife and daughter had a voodoo fish bowl and they loved it.

First time here today, and we were impressed! Jessie was out server, and I want her every time we come back!! Haha, she was such a peach- and helped us through the menu! Everything was delicious, and came out very quickly for being busy! The decor is cozy, and the e will definitely be returning! We started with the cajun dipper, the swamp sauce is AMAZING!😊 We got the crawfish estouffee, shrimp po boy, red beans & rice! The corn cheese grits were SO yummy, and the Caesar dressing for my salad was homemade and tasty!

Came with a group for lunch. Everything was good. The only complaint from the group was the Swamp Mud drink, apparently it tasted like a black licorice liquor was mixed in for the coloring effect. But the other drinks were on point. The pasta dish was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely my favorite place to eat. The gumbo is amazing. The gator bites are really good too. Pictured are the pork belly appetizer and the gator bites, and the gumbo entree.

Always spot on ... Food is consistently good.

When there's a long wait, we eat at the bar, which is also fast and excellent service.

Can't wait to go back

Probably the best culinary experience I’ve had since moving to the area!! Amazing food and atmosphere. The bartender was super fun and friendly to everyone. We met a long time customer who recommended food and drinks. Everything reminded us of being in NOLA. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes Cajun food. Definitely will come back.
