Palmetto Dunes Park

Palmetto Dune Park is a 3.3 acre passive park on Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton. It is on the left side of the road as you head east approaching Dixie Highway.

Park amenities include a paved exercise path, open play/recreation space, benches and a bike rack. A curios thing is there are several signs advising that dogs are not allowed in the park and it is strictly enforced. There is no parking lot so this this seems like an ideal place for people in the neighborhood to safely exercise their dogs providing they pick up after them.

I love an open green space but the main drawback to this park is the lack of parking. It is essentially for bike riders and the people in the neighborhood to use. To further complicate matters there is a great deal of construction going on in front of the park on Palmetto Park Road right now. There are a lot better parks to go to like Sugar Sand that is only a short drive from here.
