New Sun Gate Motel

My husband, 2 kids and I stayed here during our vacation. I absolutely loved the look of this place. It is what you think of when you think of an oasis. Our kids loved the pool here. I loved that it was such a homey atmosphere. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. Prices are great also. We stayed in ateast 2 dozen motels. Everything from The mom and pop mlywls to suites at the Hilton. This was my favorite.

Over all this is a great place to stay, My fiance and I traveled from NY and searched for a decent place and this motel exceeded our expectations. ERIC and the Owner are both great Guys and and were very professional, along with the cleaning staff( such sweethearts)!.
The rooms are amazing and VERY clean.
The place definitely says come and relax with a tropical vibe by the pool! Would I continue to stay here, ABSOLUTELY!!!!

An absolutely amazing stay!
One of the coolest and cleanest hotels I’ve been to in quite some time. Freshly made breakfast included with your rental.

Each room had a specific theme.
I was honored to stay in Room 27 which was Princess Diana themed.

Amazing staff! Super friendly!
Heated pool! And I got my room for $80, and the overall quality of my stay trumped hotels I’ve stayed at close by for double the price.

I will be back!

Great hotel. Good setting and staff. Good food at the restaurant and the staff is very attentive and will help you with any issues quick, fast and in a hurry. Hidden Gem with rooms that have themes. It's where the stars stay.

Nothing fancy but it's nice and quiet, the gentleman at the desk with the mustache is very kind

Historic Hotel with a great caring staff. Beautiful rooms with a backstory/Actor/Actress attached. Large reading library, good wifi and one heck of a restaurant that serves breakfast and tacos that are amazing. Very close to the beach and good setting to RELAX and get away.

Myself and my family was there for over a month the staff is wonderful even the office staff is great make sure our room was clean everyday everything we needed was at hand definitely would stay again I recommend anybody that's looking for a reasonable place to stay a few days or whatever new Sungate is the place to be I want to give a special shout out to the housekeeping staff very wonderful people

Everything about this place is just perfect. If I ever need to book a hotel, this one would be my first decision and of course if there's any availability. The owner of this place is super friendly and the whole place just has what anyone needs 🙏.

Okay!!! So I don’t even know where to start!! I called super early in the morning since my friend had just flown in, the property manager answered the phone times I called. She was extremely nice. I inconvenienced her from the get go and she was so sweet and accommodating the entire time. She got is in a red on right away. Room was great and cleaned, breakfast was amazing, pool heated. Tbh I don’t think I could ask for much more!!! Thanks so much we will be back

Our room had a king bed, was clean and comfortable. the bed was harder then we are used to but we had breakfast every morning and eggs were always perfect. Eric is great and super nice and Tracy is funny so together they make a great team. Dean & Joanne

My boyfriend and I went to Florida for a couple days and we found this motel on Expedia-it was cheap and looked very nice so we booked it. When we got there, it was more than we expected, (condition-wise, not money) we were amazed….the staff was super friendly (2 owners), our room was super nice and cozy, the service was outstanding (we got free breakfast every morning-you could see one of the owners cooking and it was delicious), the owners continue to clean up/tidy up the place (which we liked), they don’t rip you off with money, and they gave us a free bag! Also, check in was super easy and quick. We really recommend this place and we will definitely come here again.

Such a cute little tropical place. Kids enjoyed there choice of over 200 channels, I enjoyed WiFi that actually worked. The free hot breakfast was a great perk! The room was very clean and the pool area was very nice. I liked the fact that the gates locked at night with only room key access entrance, felt very safe for me and my kids. Especially since Staff is on property 24/7. Will definitely be back

A beautiful location! The vintage images really bring life to the rooms. The aesthetic is splendid, pool temperature was perfect for swimming.

We stayed in the Marilyn Monroe room, which was room 32.

Absolutely lovely owners and the room is very nice for the price. Loved how they do their free breakfast, simple yet you still can get your eggs cooked how you like them. Very nice lovely staff. I will definitely go here again.❤

I reserved two rooms for my family they were visiting us. The motel was very comfortable , excellent location, clean for the very good price.

Stay here. If you want a simple economy lodging. Close to beach and downtown. The hot breakfast was a plus and the staff was very accommodating to my eratic work schedule. I was able to BBQ on the patio. The pool was very clean and well maintained. IMO the accommodations here are best suited for a single traveler or couples. I will be back!

Great place to stay. Host were very accommodating and easy to talk to. Very quick in and out with no fuss. Also with a price that can't be beat.

It looked kind of cheap outside but we really enjoyed it. Every room has a theme inspired by celebs from way back. We were put in the Marilyn Monroe room. Which was next to Elvis Presley. Would definitely return and next time I'll be requesting Judy Garland 😁

This is a true Diamond! It's decor is amazing. The atmosphere is unlike any hotel/ motel out there! The two people that helped me check into my room were very polite and courteous. After driving through Kentucky Tennessee and Georgia who would have thought this is where southern hospitality lives. Not for the faint of heart, very niche, but for fans of golden age Hollywood. Art deco Florida. This is it! Whomever the curator is has found amazing things to display around the property! You must stay here once before you die! Absolutely amazing New York, Vegas, and even Miami just down the highway try to bring the atmosphere that is 50's Florida and thus place nails it!

Large room. No cigarette smell in the Grace Kelly room, which is very important to us as we are not smokers. Fresh cooked breakfast for two people included; I had 2 sausage links, and eggs cooked just for me, and toast with butter and jelly.
