Wonderful attention to my mom in 3SW Floor. Doctors were attentive, and the nurses and supportive staff as well. especially I want to give thanks to Nurses: Claudia from Night shift for being so great and helpful as well as Nurse Neshia and PCT Abigail from day shift amazing! Nurse Manager Karen thank you. PT Marta so helpful and knowledgeable on my mom’s rehab. All in all a great experience.

March 7 I was admitted to JFK hospital for my first ever hospital stay. I was blessed to have the best nursing staff ever. Rochelle was my nurse and could not have been more compassionate and comforting. She was truly an angel. I was also blessed to be cared for by Shayla and Barbara. They were both very attentive and went out of their way to accommodate my requests.

[POSTING THIS ON MY MOTHER'S BEHALF]:

A huge THANK YOU to everyone at JFK! I am a woman in my late 70’s with a cardiac history. I have been to other Emergency Rooms in my time and have been admitted on various occasions.

At JFK I was seen immediately in the ER when I told them my symptoms and main concern: “Is this a heart attack”? I was immediately taken inside. By the end of the day, after the first round of preliminary tests, I was admitted to rm 2212 [2N].

From the moment I first arrived to discharge 24 hrs later I was treated with the utmost caring, responsiveness, patience, and respect. Doctors, nurses, maintenance staff, administrative staff, transport—each contact was pleasant and reassuring.

The hospital’s physical environment was spotless, exceeding other hospitals I’ve been familiar with. So very important!

Additionally, even the Director of Nurses checked on me making sure that others were making sure. Yes, they were! Several others stopped by too to see if I needed anything.

I only wish there had been a whiteboard with names of staff on each shift so I could record and recall each individually. I certainly do not want to be sick again. But if at some point I do need a hospital again, I know JFK will be my choice. THANK YOU AGAIN!

[OUR WHOLE FAMILY ECHOES MY MOTHER'S THANKS!]

The team that helped my father was amazing. Karen the Nurse Leader is the most incredible person I have ever dealt with at a hospital. Caring, smart, supportive and makes things happen. Her team of Noelle, Garvin, Phil to name a few were outstanding. Wish all hospitals had this level of care.

I've been seeing Dr. Larson since 2016. My experiences with him has been extraordinary. He's compassionate, he listens to my needs answers any questions and has helped me loose over 100 lbs.
I went to his office Toft a follow up not too long ago, and he noticed my left hand extremely swollen. He immediately told me as soon as I was done with him I should go straight to the ED. He saved my life come to find out I had 2 blot clots in that arm.I did speak with my Dr. Before hand and he told me just to go on my next visit.
Which was 4 days away. God only knows what would have happened if I didn't go when Dr. Larson suggested.
Overall I've had an amazing experience with Dr. Larson and I truly recommend him to anyone who's thinking about weight loss.
He's my 🦸‍♀

My mother was in the ICU here for about a little over a month. My family lives about 2 hours away from here so we tried our best to come every other day to visit my mom. All the nurses in the ICU were amazing and so caring to my mom and my family. I have 3 younger siblings in which one is a new born and then my brother and my preteen sister. On the week my mom got out of the hospital we were able to bring my newborn sister to see her mom after a whole month of not seeing her and everyone even the nurses were emotional... 10/10 experience in my opinion

I work as an RN for an outside organization and visit JFK Hospital to see patients regularly, a few times each month on average. I also used to be an employee here in 2015. JFK does a fantastic job caring for their community, especially considering the area they serve has a large amt of people with various needs and backgrounds. There is a common culture of empathy here. No hospital is perfect but this facility truly puts forth their best every day. JFK also receives patients from other hospitals in the area as they offer services/specialties/procedures that others don’t (ex: open heart surgery). Special shout out to Ana and Dana (RN’s 2nd floor step down), Sue (IR RN), Sharon (RN 2nd floor ICU), and Lisa (RN Neuro ICU). All of the staff at JFK are all wonderful and caring. I wish I could list everyone individually but these RN’s truly care and are amazing at their jobs. They made my visit to see their patient much easier than normal and their expert care was very impressive.

Jennifer M in the surgical waiting made our time in the waiting room so comfortable and helped pass the tender hours waiting for our loved one having a major surgery. She is not only deeply compassionate and caring, but also detail oriented and well organized. As the family members of a JFK surgical patient, we feel like we’re in really good hands with this level of one on one attention to our needs. We’re grateful to Jennifer M for making this time in the hospital so much easier. My mom was very emotional at first and Jennifer hugged her like an old friend. A few hours later they literally were dancing together to a cellphone ring tone. Brought smiles to everyone!

I was admitted there a week ago for chronic cough. My stay there was far away from perfect but I gave 5 stars because of these nurses.

Nurse Oluwa: I had my best experience during her shifts. She went above and beyond on every aspect of the care. She is the best nurse you could have. Once I stood up my bed, 30 second later she came to my room checking because she saw heart rate was going high, I was like this is a super hero nurse. She was consistently excellent. Thank you Oluwa.

Nurse Jephthah : Always checking and really cares about his patient. He makes you feel like somebody cares about you as a person. You feel it when people put love in what they do. Thank you Jephthah

Stanley, Shanaya, Mark were also doing very good job.

They were AMAZING.

On February 20, 2024 had to taken to my nearest ER with abdominal pain and the staff there went to work so after shift change I had a nurse that came in and he was the start of great things to come. He said Sir we had to put a tube down your nose to Shrek your stomach I was not a happy patient at that time because I have had thing done before it wasn’t Pleasant but my nurse did everything he could to make me feel comfortable and it was done nicely so I really want to say Thank you to that young man. So now I was taken to my room 10 hours later 5036 knowing I am going to surgery the following morning but because my out of control blood pressure things changed so I had to stay a little longer then I needed so the Doctors and the nurses the entire staff on 5 South was awesome a young man name Chris Myrick stop by and ask me was everything ok and explain what he do in the hospital so I had a issue and he step out of the room came back and everything changed my issue went away the next day I received another visit from this young man who’s name is Mason Deal that made me feel like I knew him all my life I also told him of a few issues and again when he left things happened from that time my Nurses ( Patricia, Sandra, teresa aïoli and Kim , can’t forget Frantzie ) that was my heaven on earth team also my PCA’s Amber Gustavo and Sterling but I the one that training manuals are made of a young lady Name is Naomie I never had to ask for anything she was right on point with her bedside manners but my entire surgical team was absolutely awesome. Explained everything that they were going to do and made sure I felt very comfortable so I do want to say thank you to each and every individual that I named and those I didn’t get their names HCA you’re doing a great job compared to three years ago I had that very same surgery and that very same hospital it was nothing like this last time . Thank you guys look forward to visiting one day under better circumstances

Floor 2 staff has been amazing. Every nurse especially Rosa and Liz Harvey have been compassionate and kind. Answering all our questions, which were many.
Every dietician, every therapist, and the director of nurses Daniel Storza have been amazing. Daniel has stopped in every day to ensure everything is going well. In addition Alexzena Joyner, APRN Accountable Care Hospital Group truly listens to the concerns that we have and answers all questions so we understand. These employees should be acknowledged for their kindness and compassion as we know how difficult their job is and being pulled in 27 directions.
They never make you feel like you are bothering them. All of these employees were amazing, compassionate and kind. They should be recognized in some way
Thanks again to all.

I have been told by everyone don't go to JFK Don't go to JFk. I took my very good friend to JFK today. I have to say how incredibly happy we were with the care she received. She was seen by a Nurse immediately and a Dr within 5 min. She was constantly checked on and asked if she needed anything. Everyone from the Nurse (Katie) who was AMAZING to the Dr the Xray tech the CT tech everyone was professional and caring. I will not be reluctant to return if needed.

At 3am I woke up with slurred speech and weakness of all 4 extremities. My husband called 911. It was a hypoglycemic episode in the 50's. I was brought to your ER. I have lived here 31 yrs and never had been in the hospital. I was treated and stabilized. The nurses and doctor were wonderful. I was kept overnight for observation. Again received wonderful care. I would like to thank Natalie in the ER. On the 3rd floor Jocelyn and Rosa. Also Ben and Brandon. Both gentle giants. My first ever hospital stay was sort but thankful for all of your staff.

So I went to the ER yesterday because I was feeling dizzy and lightheaded. Long story short I spent the day in the ER then was admitted overnight at the 3 SW building. I am impressed by the level of efficiency & care by the staff and the comfort of my room and bed. I am very impressed and grateful for the care I received.

While I was here I interacted with many different nurses. Nurse Katherine and Rosa were expectational . They were very attentive and informative which allowed me and my family to feel supported. They catered to our needs. The director of nurses Daniel was very attentive and allowed us to feel supported and expressed his availability allowing us to feel comforted . They were amazing!

I want to first share that I was transferred from another unit to 3S south and it has been a phenomenal experience from Shiela, the RN and Alicia, the PCA and especially Karyn the nurse manager on the floor. Very excellent very etiquette. I couldn’t be any more happier, I truly was treated with much care, and very well attended to.

Jennifer M surgical waiting was very informative and nice. While I was waiting on my mom to be transferred to a room after her surgery, Jennifer made my waiting experience very pleasant. She has such a beautiful and up beat spirit. It was a pleasure.

I'm a patient on 3sw ..I came in because I had a seizure..the staff here is AMAZING. Karen the nurse manager was so very caring and attentive to all our needs. Riona Naomie and Abigail took care if him as their own. I can't even find words to express how Wonderful and caring Dr Bagatelle is. He is the first doctor that we ever met that took time to sit with us and actually talk and explain what he feels we need to do. He showed us genuine care respect and compassion..We would like to Thank this team and wish them continued success and many blessings. Ty
