Top Five Records

A diamond in the rough, TOP FIVE is definitely in my top five for selection, service and definitely cool vibe. Since my visit earlier this year, I've been to several more record shops on trips and this one always comes back to mind.

Labels were clearly marked, I could move easily around the store even with a backpack on, and avoid hitting other customers as we all searched for our own gems.

Unlike other stores where the employee may blast some arbitrary album, the owner seems to even take the time to select music from different genres and play it as a cool backdrop as apart of the shopping experience.

Whenever I return to WPB area this will be a stop on my list.

High end records at the right price. Owner is knowledgeable and friendly. Helpful when asked for assistance getting a record down from a shelf. Complemented my choices and said I was welcome back anytime. Great experience.

Incredible store and love the owner's true audiophile passion in enjoying what he does each and every day. Music today isn't made the same as what was captured on vinyl decades ago. A time where the world was a much more real and simple place where the magic of listening to a record was a luxury to have before streaming platforms now reign supreme. Owner was very nice and even gave me some mailers so I could safely ship my new purchases back to New York

Just reading the comments makes me want to go, a place stopped in time and that lives up to its name, perhaps even better than the movie, families, pets and drinks are not allowed, how wonderful! I just hope I deserve to be there when I go.

I have been buying vinyls as gifts for years and am so glad i found this shop. The shop i used to go to was NOTHING compared to Top Five Records. The shop is extremely organized and all of the vinyls are in excellent condition no matter how old they are. there’s always music playing and the owner seems to be very knowledgable about everything in his store.
He was extremely pleasant and remembered me when i went back the second time around a few weeks later.
It is cash only but there’s an ATM right across the street which the owner directed me to.
I have began telling everyone about this store & we will definitely be back

What a pleasant surprise it was finding this gem of a store! I felt like I stepped out of a time machine as I flipped through bins and bins of records! Just like back in the day, only much more organized and cleaner than most record shops I’ve been in. Super clean establishment and the records were in fantastic condition and all were presented in plastic sleeves, clearly marked with condition, year, and price! I haven’t seen used records displayed this well ever! John was happy to answer questions but allowed me to peruse the store’s stock without interruption. He even threw on a Billy Joel’s Kohuept when I remarked I hadn’t seen it before. Sold! He was knowledgeable and helped me weed through some of the hype in the vinyl game regarding how to clean your records. He recommends a soft T-shirt strip and water. Who knew!? I picked up 6 records, really 7 (1 was a double LP) and pulled out my credit card to pay. He only takes cash and luckily, he informed me that the coffee shop a door down has an ATM. Score! I just recently moved to the area and have been looking for a good record store. This is the best one I’ve been to in my life. The owner and the woman behind the counter were so welcoming and knowledgeable. The owner knew the year each album mentioned was released off the top of his head and history of each band. So many rare records and almost every one in the store is an original copy.

I just moved to WPB and was delighted to find this store. John is a very nice guy and very helpful. I haven’t been in in a few months because I’ve been out of the country, but plan on going this Wednesday to sell and buy records since I’m back for a couple of weeks. It’s always a fun and rewarding experience shopping there.

I am a young Lake Worth local and I have been collecting records since my dad first gave me his around six years ago. My dad and I first visited John at Top Five Records around three years ago. Since then, Top Five Records has helped me grow not only my collection, but also my knowledge of vinyl and the music that I am so passionate for.

My absolute favorite record I got from Top Five is an original 1968 press of Waiting For the Sun by the Doors. John not only is so careful about the quality of records he puts out, he is also a wonderful person to chat with about music.

I can go on about how great this record shop is. Plus there is a great coffee shop next door. Top Five Records will always be a special place for me. Support your local businesses... and record stores! Ditch FYE and Urban Outfitters.

John is the owner and operator of this unique record shop. His mastery of music and collectors insider information makes him the perfect host at this friendly record shop. His collection is formidable and pricing very competitive if not below most other shops. I highly recommend “Top Five Record Store” for new and expert Vinyl Record Collectors.

Always a great selection and fair prices. Owner is always polite and helpful. Can’t really trust the review of a record store from someone who says “vinyls”.

John is not only knowledgeable he is passionate about records. He seems like he would rather keep the records than sell them. I've observed him listen to a customers request for a band and make them listen to multiple albums by other artists he feels they need to hear based on their likes. If you only visit one record shop this year make it Top Five Records.

Excellent selection of used vinyl, John goes to great lengths to give each record a very thorough inspection for quality and that is clearly marked the record. Prices are very fair. Definitely a must go to for used vinyl in Palm Beach County!

John/Top Five Records is the real deal. Don't just go in to buy an album or two. Go into to experience what it's like to be in super high level record store. The quality of the records is amazing. John's music knowledge is worth the trip .

Just a cool little no frills record store. Mom and pop vibes with great customer service and real appreciation for your business. Picked up a few records today and will definitely be back as they buy and sell records frequently and always have new stuff to check out.

This guy only sells the highest quality of vinyl even if it is 50+ Year’s old. Was on vacation here and found myself here everyday I was in town. They really know how to take care of vinyl here- lots of old sealed records and the opened ones look like they’ve never been spun. Thanks top five!
