Alfano's Restaurant

A bit upscale, so likely only going here for special occasions, but the food was great.
The wine list is fantastic with plenty of selections. I did have to choose 2 as the first selection was out of stock.
Our server was really nice, but we could tell he was new to the restaurant as he needed to seek answers from others on more than one occasion.
Overall, great Italian restaurant.

Alfano's Italian Restaurant is a charming and cozy restaurant located here in Clearwater that maintains an old-style Italian-American atmosphere. The waitstaff, dressed in black-and-white uniforms, are knowledgeable about the menu and regular customers.

Their menu includes a range of dishes, such as pasta, fresh seafood, and elevated treats like Scallops Rockefeller, Escargot, Cannelloni Florentine, and my favorite, Lamb Chops Scottadito!

During my recent visit with a party of ten, we were seated at a large round table in the dining room, under a large garden umbrella that had a "Tuscan Garden" vibe to it.

The atmosphere was comfortable and charming, with beautiful, interesting Italian touches throughout. The service was exceptional, and we did not feel rushed at all, allowing us to enjoy our dining experience at a leisurely pace.

The food was fresh, and delicious, and arrived at our table hot and on time. The appetizer of Scallops Rockefeller was delightful. The lamb chops were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Their wine list is extensive, with many great choices, and they even have a wine cellar that has a table you can book for a private party.

The General Manager, James Jerichow, an affable young man, was kind enough to show us around and share the history of Alfano's, along with interesting stories of some of their previous diners, such as Margaret Thatcher (yes, the Iron Lady herself has enjoyed dining at Alfano's).

Overall, we had a great time, and the restaurant truly exceeded our expectations.

Alfano's Italian is my go-to restaurant when friends and family are visiting, as it never disappoints! I highly recommend Alfano's to anyone who enjoys great Italian food, desserts, and friendly service. Go and enjoy! Trust me, you won't be disappointed, and you can thank me later!

This will be a simple review. Every time I have been to Alfano’, I was not disappointed by the service, food, wine or desserts. My favorite is the Chicken Daronzio, Tiramisu, Chicken Parmigiana, Affogato, (most everything on the dessert menu) or pretty much everything else.

Husband made reservations for our anniversary and I had no idea this place even existed! This place is a "hidden gem" and we will definitely be returning. We sat in the "lounge area" at a beautiful table (our preference). Atmosphere was very charming and comfortable, loved the music and the art throughout. Service was great! Thank you to "Chris" (not sure of spelling) who was so kind and brought us to our table, even telling us which table to ask for next time. She was such a delightful person, and very personable. Also wanted to mention "Connor" who was our server and was also very kind and knowledgable. We did not feel rushed at all, which is very important as we like to take our time while out. There is a very extensive wine list, with many great choices. Connor asked what we liked in a wine and had many recommendations and we were very happy with the one we chose. The food was very good, fresh and arrived to our table steaming hot. The veal and ricotta meatballs were absolutely delightful. My husband had the lobster ravioli which were also very good. Prices are very reasonable. There is a wine celler that also has a table in there that you can book for a private party. Connor was more than happy to give us a "quick tour." Thank you to everyone at Alfano's for a wonderful evening! We will definitely be back!

This is a hidden gem. Lovely atmosphere throughout the entire building. The upstairs has a wine cellar. The mussels appetizer is well worth it and the meatballs are cheesy and hearty 🤤

The food was good, very tasty, but a bit oily, however. My dessert which was cherry crumbled with ice cream was superb! Our waiter Jason was funny when commenting on our conversations which we all laughed with him. We all agreed he was awesome, great service, sweet guy.

It had been years since we dined here, but were invited by a couple we are friends with. This was a great experience. The food and atmosphere were excellent. I highly recommend the lobster ravioli alla vodka and their fiocci special, if available. Our server, Matt, was very accommodating and professional. Thank you for being a part of our great evening out!

Kenny was absolutely amazing. He really went above and beyond for me and my girlfriends one year. He really is an amazing and very personable waiter! Couldn’t recommend a better place to go.

Perfect setting for private group dining - Thank you for hosting the Tampa Bay Women in Tourism holiday luncheon. The service and Italian cuisine were top-notch. Everything was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend Alfano's for your next dining experience in the Clearwater area.

By far, our favorite Italian restaurant in the area… The chef/owner Frank is unbelievably skilled… He even takes the time to come to your table to make sure everything was to your satisfaction ! Best Italian in Tampa Bay by far.

Went there for date night with Ronda our waiter Paul was very knowledgeable and attentive the food was terrific and the portions were just perfect not too much or too little. Will definitely return.

Alfano's consistently provides a top-rate dining experience. The ambience and service are both exquisite. I rated the food at only 4 stars not because the quality of the food itself was significantly less than the other factors, but because the amount of food (along with a slight lack of quality in comparison) isn't quite worth the price being charged for it.

We hadn't stopped in Alfano's for a few years, so we were Way Overdue! Saturday evening turned out to be the Perfect time! We were seated quickly and approached just a couple minutes later by our server "Mason". This young man is a Great asset for the restaurant! Turned out to give us Impeccable service! Waters, drinks from the bar, suggestions on dinner, all on point! Fresh garlic bread. Plus we ordered the Sausage Cheese Bread - Worth the wait and the money!! Salads- one house, one Ceasar, and a Calimari appetizer all came out quickly and were Great! Entrées - Lasagna, Veal Freddy, and the Roast Duck (flambe'd tableside - crisp skin, tender and juicy inside Simply to Die for)!! Desserts - a Caramel Sunday and the Lemonchello Cake! We finished with Keoke Coffee!! Wonderful flavors and textures!! We will be back again Very Soon!!!

We go to Alfano's several times a year. The food is very good. We have never had a bad meal there. The atmosphere is wonderful and the people and service are fantastic. I would highly recommend this place.

Everything was impeccable as always. Service was right on the money—quick, courteous and followed through with dessert questions and then bill! They turned our large party of about 25 over with complete ease. My grouper piccata was amazing and my husband had rack of lamb, equally enjoyed! Cheers to Alfano’s once again!!

Came here for the second time and it was just as great as the first time. The table side caesar salad was great, the chicken rosemary was delicious, and the fresh catch grouper with Mediterranean topping was excellent. The tiramisu was superb. This place is a gem so if you're in the area, this is a must-try.

Beautiful interior and very nice wine list! Table side seater was quite the show and it was a nice touch when the waiter went over some info on the ingredients which added to the overall experience. After dinner we wandered around the building as each has its own touch! Luckily the general manager was around and informed us of some backstory, the building and the history :)

Was a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back! Unfortunately I didn’t capture too much photos as I enjoy the experience first.

We came for a special event to celebrate a dear friend. Such a warm, intimate and accommodating venue! The food was delicious, the service outstanding, and the entire event a great success. Thank you Alfano's-- we look forward to coming back again.

This was our first visit and we intend on many more. The food and service were great. The tableside ceaser salad was the best we ever had!! The fish and pasta dishes were outstanding!!
