My friend and I found Sandpiper by accident. How grateful we are! This cafe is a down to earth and welcoming place. The friendly staff with welcoming smiles. The owner’s “Welcome” as we entered. The food was delicious, the coffee even better. Sitting outside on the porch felt like visiting a dear friend. Come! You will love it!!

Had a great breakfast experience at Sandpiper Cafe during my vacation. Opted for the front porch seating, where our server was not only attentive but also recommended a fantastic breakfast bowl. The breakfast sandwich stole the show – easily my favorite vacation breakfast, thanks to the amazing croissant. Accompanied by lattes in generous mugs – the perfect start to the day!

For 5 days my wife and I visiting made this our go to breakfast cottage. The owner is very gracious and helpful and on-site. The staff is quick and courteous to take your order and provide what you request. Absolute best coffee I have ever had in my life.
Come to Florida and enjoy the Simple Pleasures. Conveniently located downtown near the docks and all the shops....and very reasonable prices. Ben and Julie Koops

A delightful, delicious and impressive first time experience.
We were greeted promptly and warmly upon entering the cafe.
We were kindly directed to find seating anywhere it was available.
Each server treated us as their guest.
We were promptly attended to for drink and food orders.
We enjoyed the eggs Benedict and the Cuban croissant breakfast sandwich.
Flavorful food, served fast.
Delicious iced coffee (in our opinion, the best that we tried among the roasters in the area!)

Excellent food, wonderful service and they have this cool vintage corner you can purchase items from. I've bought a few things already. This is me and my nieces new favorite breakfast spot! Highly recommend!!

Outstanding breakfast stop just off the Pinellas Trail. An excellent place to go with wonderful breakfasts, Bike parking is available. The staff is always friendly and the food is always excellent with large portions. It is usually always busy but with both indoor and outdoor seating finding a table is usually not a problem. We liked eating on the front porch vs. inside.

Today was my first visit but it surely won't be the last! The latte and quesadilla were both delicious, the staff was friendly and attentive, and it's a great place to sit outside and people watch. Dog friendly too!

David, the owner, is one of the most welcoming of his peers. Always a big smile. His staff is likewise very accommodating and conscientious of your order and satisfaction. You don't have to ask for a coffee refill - it's always there. Prices for food and coffee are quite fair in comparison to the other six or so coffee shops.

Besides a cozy inside seating area with walls lined with affordable gifts there's the expansive outside deck. It is filled a with comfortable chairs and large tables suitable for groups, kids, and family pets. It has recently been enclosed with a new roof to protect patrons from wind, rain, and sun.

Try the Sandpiper. Besides good coffee and good food experience the smiles from staff and customers. You will not be disappointed. And say hello to Smiling Dave for me.

While on vacation, we stopped for coffee at Sandpiper Cafe. It is a quaint, cottage style Cafe with plenty of room. They offer inside and outside seating in a terrace area. They offer a variety of coffee options with non-dairy alternatives. They have a full menu and delicious bakery options. In addition, they have an area with homemade jellies and preserves as well as gifts for all ages. David, the owner, was gracious and took a picture with us as he is an author of children's books. We had a delicious breakfast, and had an autographed book and picture taken with the author himself! 😊. It was an overall wonderful experience. When in Dunedin, I highly recommend passing by Sandpiper Cafe.

Great outdoor seating and amazing food! I got the sandpiper special and it was great! The wait staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu (which for me is a huge plus). It’s always great to have a waiter give you the low down on the menu in detail!

Update: 3.12.22 still amazing! I got the eggs Benedict today and my boyfriend got the Sandpiper special. Consistency is key! No matter when you come here the quality of food is always the same!!! This is a must!

While on vacation, we were looking for a kid friendly coffee shop. We found so much more! Amazing customer service (thank you so much Marley), and a little vision of Christmas in Florida. We enjoyed an iced Nutelatte, iced caramel/white chocolate latte, the cinnamon crunch muffin (huge and moist) and the bacon, egg and cheese croissant.

Great breakfast. The owners are really nice. We go there every time we are in Dunedin. Highly recommend stopping in and enjoying the atmosphere.

Food is delicious and owner always stops by to say hello! Cute patio area with a nice view of downtown. Highly recommend!

Stopped here for brunch one morning on a girl’s trip to Clearwater Beach and we all had a fantastic experience! The service, food, and drinks were all incredible. I really enjoyed the mimosas and avocado tartine. The neighborhood was super cute as well. Would definitely come back here again!!

Sandpiper is a gem in downtown Dunedin. The outdoor seating is a hidden paradise providing shade from both plants and umbrellas. I usually order the steel cut oats bowl which is a delicious, build-your-own oatmeal experience, but today I tried an Italian sandwich from the lunch menu and it was great; affordable for the portion size. Prompt and friendly service. The owner, David, is incredibly outgoing and kind. I highly recommend Sandpiper Café for breakfast, lunch, and surprisingly their assortment of vintage postcards!

Nice place downtown to enjoy breakfast. Out door seating is covered, that's nice! Perfectly prepared food.

Sandpiper was in plain sight but far above and further in than any coffee shop we visited in Dunedin. First and foremost they are a roaster which took us so much deeper into our experience. The coffee was fresh in every way.

The menu was full of variety of a distinct sort. The intention in the presentation allowed us to find our own way. The muffin and fruit welcomed my wife into the day ahead. My Beef on Weck was like a breakfast the day after a wedding, savory and full of flavor.

It was a great start to a day of walking. In fact we walked down the alley from the Meranova B&B. We walked to the Bike Path and on down to the intracoastal. It was amazing.

Excellent local-recommended breakfast spot in downtown Dunedin! Delicious amd creative menu, including handhelds, omelets, and fresh baked pastries! We had several different breakfast sandwiches, and each of us raved about our selection. The Sunrise breakfast sandwich (with egg, sausage, cheese, roasted red peppers, and grilled red onion) was amazing, what McDonald's might serve if it had been created for actual adults!

We were trying to find some place for coffee and a pastry after we've been out on a very cold Beach Walk. Ran across the Sandpiper and really lucked out. I got a mocha latte and he got a hot chocolate and we split a cinnamon crunch muffin. That was a suggestion of our server and she was absolutely right! Next time we're out for breakfast we may have to come back here, the food we saw all look wonderful! The people were great!

If you ever come here for the best omelets around ask for the JEVA it’s home fries with ham and cheddar cheese, best thing ever !
