Shrimp and avocado salad was delicious and really hit the spot, so light and fresh. Wait staff is friendly but no one checked on me after I got my food or refilled my drink.

Also please note their prices just went up so the prices listed on the online menu are no longer current. I mentioned it and they said they would remind the owner to fix that.

Wonderful ambience, quiet, clean, and friendly and efficient staff. The food is all delicious. I love the cream of shrimp soup and almond tea especially.

Came for the first time at noon, and I absolutely Love this place.

First--the ambiance of the place is nice and VERY relaxed!
Our waiter/waiting staff in general are cordial and very informative about the meals!

Now...let's get to the food! (Every dish I tried was really delectable!!!)

1. The chicken and sausage gumbo: MMMM!!!!
2. THE creamy shrimp soup: Oh yeah!!!!!
3. The 🍅 and basil pie is A MUST-ORDER!!! WOW!!!!! 💋 THE CHEF FOR THIS ONE!
Amazingly great spinach salad, too!!!
4. Grilled chicken with potatoes and other fixings--YOU WILL BE ELATED with delight to order this, too.
5. Strawberry crepe--order more than one!

ALMOND TEA!!!!! ORDER IT!!! It is SOOOO GOOD!!!

This will be a spot that I frequent with my boyfriend--who suggested it.

Oh! It is opened on Saturdays, too!

Delicious Homemade Food!! Linda is the best waitress🥰The creamy shrimp soup with homemade cornbread is worth a try and the tomato basil pie is wonderful!!❤We loved the peanut butter pie and the chocolate cake-yummy!!

This was my first time eating here. The waitress was attentive and the food was delicious! I had one of the daily specials, Grilled Salmon and my niece had the Grilled Chicken. We both started off with their specialty, Cream of Shrimp Soup with cornbread!😋

It's definitely one of the best lunch spots in town. The menu never changes for a reason. Get the cream of shrimp soup with your meal. The best!

Demi shrimp for the win! Lunches at The Cottage do not disappoint. Friendly staff, great food, clean, quiet. Great place for meeting with clients. Highly recommend!

GREAT FOOD EVEN BETTER SERVICE
Taylor made perfect recommendations for me to try. This was my first visit and I will be back. I had the Ham and Swiss roll up and it was delicious. I also tried a side of the cottage potatoes and as Taylor suggested I tried them with their homemade dressing and it was spectacular. All the servers there were kind, courteous and just in general very sweet and super nice. I highly recommend.

Not a fancy restaurant very low-key... However the food is outstanding and so is the service. You have to try the broccoli soup... It is to die for!

Absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED this place. I felt like I was at Grandma's house for lunch. The Cottage potatoes are AMAZING!!! Service was fantastic, super nice people. Can not wait to take my husband sometime. Highly recommend.

First time here, definitely will be going back! Food was perfect! Prices weren't bad. Great selections on the menu. And didn't feel like I was reading a book. Great place for the family and friends. Clean and the service was perfect!

Looking for something different? Want a tasty delicious meal? The Cotrage is the place. Famous for their cream of shrimp soup and their yummy salads with house made dressings, the people are friendly and efficient. Linger if you can for dessert.

A much older crowd. Salads and sandwiches. There creamy shrimp soup was amazing. Doesn't sound it, but I can see why it is there specialty soup

The atmosphere was great, clean & wonderful staff! The Cream of Shrimp soup was fabulous along with the cornbread! Loved the peanut butter pie!

Excellent food with great and quick service. This is the lunch treasure of Alexandra LA. Go off the beaten path and try the almond tea, spinach salad, tomato basil pie. And when you come back, and you will, you have to get the Cottage Potatos......when they bear the name of the restaurant you know they are going to be good.

The staff is great, the food is ALWAYS beyond incredible! The soups and salads are wonderful (especially cream of shrimp!), the shrimp and avocado salad is amazing, the hamburger steak & cottage potatoes is always a winner. I've literally never eaten anything there that isn't great (and I am picky about the quality of my food!). The desserts are all great, especially the dessert crepes. The almond tea is a MUST!
