Salute Italian Restaurant

Mr. Rob, the owner, came out to our table and talked to us personally. The food was authentic and tasted amazing. Staff was available without being obnoxious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting Italian or seafood.

I was skeptical about trying this place, I'm not a big fan of Italian food, but my coworker made me go one day, and I love it. The food and the price you pay for the meals are great. My kids, my husband, love the tomato basil cream. I mean, we all love it 😀

Great restaurant! Me and my friends came a few days before Christmas.We ordered fried mozzarella as our appetizer probably some of the best we ever had. I ordered the lasagna which was amazing, perfect amount of sauce cheese was nice and stringy. They ordered a meat pizza and seafood manicotti. They said it was really good. We also got dessert i ordered the tiramisu which was a really good size portion great flavor. The atmosphere was really relaxed even though they were busy the night we visited, there was even a live singer singing christmas songs. The hostess was very attentive and even gave us suggestions on what we should try. 9/10 will definitely be back.

Very good food, I enjoyed the Veal Salute with the Alfredo pasta and a variation on a Martini. They had a small children friendly menu, Chicken and fries, spaghetti and meatballs etcetera. My grand daughter loved the Alfredo Pasta. (Shown in the photo) For 3 adults and one child, a bottle of wine, and a martini the bill came out to be around $150 not including the tip. Overall, this was a very good experience, with excellent food, and great staff. 10/10

Looking for fine dining experience? You have found it. Large menu with lots of variety not only Italian items. Had a little bit of a wait for 5 guest. We sat outside and service was a bit slower outside than inside but was okay. Everyone’s meal was perfect. Definitely a returning customer.

1st time tonight for my daughter's birthday. Service was very good & so was the food. I just wish the bread and mozzarella sticks had that crispy texture. I will definitely be back. They have a live singer. The atmosphere was great!!

From the wonderful aroma of flowers as we walked through the courtyard to the entrance, to the fabulous food and kind, fast service, we just loved our visit!

We had such an amazing experience, celebrating our step-dad's retirement at Salute, over this past weekend. The service was top notch and the food was absolutely delicious! The beautiful, Christmas decorations only added to the warm and all around, inviting atmosphere. Salute is now our fave when it comes to Italian cuisine on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!

We drove to MS on Monday to go to lunch with a dear friend of ours. Jenifer Enright recommended a restaurant that she really liked, Salute Italian Restaurant, and we are glad we went there.
It's a very nice restaurant, very spacious, clean, well-lit, decorative and, from the number of people eating there on Monday, a VERY popular restaurant.
We made our selections from the $10.00 Lunch Menu. Jenifer said not to wonder if there were small portions because they gave you a lot of food. She was right. At the end of the meal, we were "stuffed."
The food was delicious, well portioned and, when you first see it on your plate, you want to dig in immediately. There is a "presentation" that chefs use when they place food on a plate to be pleasing to the customer. This chef knows presentation.
Stephanie was our waitress and she was so nice and very attentive throughout our time there, periodically checking to make sure we were happy. She never stopped, constantly moving from table to table. A wonderful waitress.
We had a terrific lunch experience at Salute Italian Restaurant in Gulfport, MS and we hope to go back again.

Amazing food and service! The owner has been on site each time we enjoy his delicious recipes! You can't go wrong! Especially for the $9.99 lunch!

Great lunch spot! Service was quick, friendly and efficient. The prices are fantastic for the quality of food that you're going to receive! The lunch menu is extensive and surely has something that you'll enjoy. It's always busy, so you might have to fight for a parking spot, but it'll be worth it. If you can get here for Sunday brunch, you won't be sorry!

My first time here and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere is a vibe. The food was on point. I'll most definitely be coming back here.

But- they serve Carajillo which is Licor 43 with Expresso - not normal in MS

Great place and people. Some of the best crab cakes I have had, but absolutely the best shrimp and grits I have ever eaten. It is a unique twist on them and a must try.

Fantastic experience- went for Sunday brunch and went back for dinner the next day. Wait staff was attentive but not disruptive, food was delicious and you must try the grits. I could go on and on but since we went back the next day- that should tell you it all. Its an experience you need to have. The live band was a great touch

I ordered the grilled pork fillet with teriyaki veggies over brown rice lunch special for $ 9.99. The small lunch meal was delicious. They also served a basket of fresh bread with a herb spread at the table. For dessert I ordered the tiramisu that was very rich and delicious. I was so good I had to take a bite before I had a chance to snap a photo!! This place was recommended by the bus driver I took heading into Gulfport. I'm so glad I stopped here to eat.

1st time experience with 2 adults, 2 teenagers, 1 kid and toddler. Everyone loved it. Ask for butter for bread if don't like pesto spread. Portion size was great. Son loved kids meatballs & Speghetti. Service was great & May now be out go to Italian spot in town.

Homemade delicious food for a reasonable price. We were so relaxed and felt right at home.Our wait staff was super sweet and knowledgeable. Would absolutely 💯 recommend. 5 STARS 🌟

We came here for a function to celebrate friends 50th anniversary. As a former Chef of the Coast I am happy to recommend this establishment. The food arrived hot and the sauces were very good. I enjoyed a cup of their excellent sausage gumbo and their Catfish Supreme. The portion is very generous, hot and excellently flavored. Service is attentive and quick.
