Georgetown Drum Sessions LLC

We discovered Wes at Georgetown Drum Sessions about a month ago. My son is an adult , and very interested in learning to play the drums. He has Down Syndrome , so requires some extra patience and creative learning techniques. We are impressed with Wes and his patient and creative approaches in teaching Chris new beats. His studio is conducive to learning .
Chris is very excited to go each week.

My daughter is learning so much! Wes has the patience of a saint and makes his students feel comfortable. He is extremely knowledgeable and his lessons are tailored to his students’ skill levels. Not only does GDS/GMS teach a student how to play an instrument, attending lessons has also increased my teenager’s self-confidence!

I was gifted drum lessons for Christmas and so far my experience has been top notch (my daughter also started piano lessons). Communication to set up the lessons was quick and informative and the interactions I’ve had with everyone here has been very friendly and welcoming. Wes is teaching me drums and he seems like a great guy with lots of music knowledge. He took some time to talk to me at the beginning of the lesson and I appreciated that time to get to know me and figure out my musical interests and what I was hoping to gain. I’ve wanted to play the drums for a long time now and Wes seems like a great teacher with a real passion for music. My daughter and I look forward to learning and growing our musical abilities here and if you have any interest in music then this is the place to go!

I previously took piano lessons for a couple of months here and had a wonderful experience but had to stop for personal reasons. I have a son who is on the autism spectrum. He is 10 years old and very fearful of everything. Anything different or new freaks him out and so he is reluctant to step out of his comfort zone for any reason. He asked for drums for his birthday and I told him I would buy him a drum set if he agreed to take lessons. He reluctantly agreed. Based on my positive experience with this place in the past, I chose the same place to introduce my son to music. Last night was his first lesson and he was a bundle of nerves. Wes took a few minutes to get to know my son, asking him questions about music he likes and his YouTube channel, video games, etc… it really loosened him up. He was patient and kind and when he saw my son getting discouraged he gave him a moment to take a few breaths and was quick to applaud him when he caught on to something. By the time we left, my son had lit up with a joy and enthusiasm we aren’t used to seeing in him and promised to bring his new teacher homemade candy at his next lesson! He talked for the next hour non stop about how awesome his new friend Wes was and then called to tell his friends about it. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking instruction in music at any level. Well definitely be long time customers!

I just have to say that Wes has been one of the most positive influencers for my son. My 13 yr old son recently began taken drum lessons with Wes and we enjoyed our experience so much that we will be continuing to see him. He says Wes is very patient with him, encouraging and really knows things about drumming. I recommend Wes to some of my clients already and my son always looks forward to his next session. He even cleaned out his room to make space for his drum set!!!🤣

My 10 year old decided he wanted lessons. Being new to the area we searched around a bit and found Wes (we are NOT the same person) at Georgetown Drum Sessions. The lessons are going great, Wes is incredibly patient with my son and explains things well. He has been very helpful when we purchased a drum set. All around a great experience and I would recommend him if you need drum lessons.

I just started drum lessons with Wesley about 2 weeks ago, I’ve always wanted to learn the drums and so far it’s been an amazing experience! I love it. I’m 30 years old and never played a day in my life. Wesley is extremely patient and goes above and beyond to give you the best learning experience possible. I thought It would be weird and uncomfortable at first but Wesley does not make u feel that way at all! I’d recommend Wesley at Georgetown Drum Sessions to anyone wanting to learn the drums. He also can teach guitar and stuff too! He is awesome!!!!!!

I’ve been taking guitar lessons with Alton for about a month now and the amount of progress I’ve made is incredible. Great instructions, help, and 1-on-1 experience. Staff is extremely kind and helpful, excited to see what more I can accomplish in the following months with these guys 👍

Wes is a fantastic instructor. I played drums when I was younger and now many years later I wanted to pick it back up. Wes quickly assessed my current level and set a plan to help me hit my goals. I would highly recommend Wes to anyone.

I love taking my daughter to Georgetown Drums! Wesley is an amazing instructor and is very talented and patient with her. Very professional atmosphere and well done studio. He also helped guide me in picking out drum gear for her birthday! Highly recommend to anyone interested in playing.

My grandson recently expressed an interest in playing the drums and Wes was recommended by a friend. Wes put him at ease right away, my grandson is very shy, so the fact that he wanted to go back was awesome. I sit in on his lessons and Wes is very knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. We have been so impressed with Georgetown Drum Sessions! The facility is awesome, but the lessons are even better. Wes is a very patient and encouraging teacher and he teaches and plays along with his student. We haven’t been going long but it’s quickly becoming the highlight of our child’s week and she has learned so much very quickly! What a great place to have in Georgetown!
