Comfort Suites Newport - Cincinnati Riverfront

My family of 5 stayed here in mid-July 2022 in a suite and the rooms had recently been renovated. Great rooms!! We were on the top floor (6) and enjoyed a great view of the river, Great American Ball Park, and downtown Cincinnati. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They had answers for all of my questions and made some excellent recommendations. Thanks for a great experience! Highly recommended.

Best view ever! I am a one day staying person. Usually I just need a place to sleep. I visit my daughter that is in Northern Kentucky University kind of frequently. I have stay in different places and definitely this was my favorite one. Not just the view but also the room was nice and the bathroom. No water staying in the bath tub.
They are not serving breakfast, which I don't care about. Grab breakfast, fresh fruit, milk and some kind of sandwich. I just need some coffee and I am happy in the mornings.
The only thing I will never get use to is the noise of the AC in the room.
The place is under construction. So maybe that is the reason they had a good deal.
I will probably stay there again

I love it. I don't go for the room. We go to get away spend time with each other take photos on the river ride the red bikes. Never had a problem at the hotel. Its affordable serves its purpose. I did hear the front desk mentioning they were up grading or getting ready for the busy season. You know. I think they called it a renovation. Like re familiarizing staff with they way they do things working on the elevators and some rooms.

Loved staying here. The view from our room was incredible. The front desk staff were very helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was very clean and the beds were some of the most comfortable that we've ever slept in, in a hotel. The morning breakfast was great as well. So many options. The next time we are in Newport, we will be staying here, no doubt

The staff at this hotel was very friendly and kind. They were full of personality and character. The woman who helped me this morning in the breakfast area was super helpful in directing me to a water faucet I could fill up my crazy huge beverage container.

The facilities were clean and we'll managed. I really liked the overall ambiance of this place. Its right along the river and had a great view of Cincinnati.

The parking situation shouldn't be confusing as it comes across. There is an open parking lot, but each room has a mirror tag. I didn't use my mirror tag and I didn't have any issues.

I will definitely be back at this hotel sometime in the near future.

Some of the best staffing I've encountered at a hotel. Excellent accomodations. There were a few issues with the room (lights burnt out and missing TV remote) but those were fixed within 15 minutes of notifying the desk. Great view and convenient location.

We visited this hotel for one night 8/13/2022 and I started to knock one star off due to the hotel changing its name and not informing me. I typed the location in my phone and gps continued to tell me I have arrived but as I was looking for “COMFORT SUITES WHICH I BOOKED” all I saw was FAIRFIELD so I was calling front desk asking where comfort was and they were describing it long story short I walked in Fairfield and was told it was previously comfort I’m thinking thanks for informing me.. but other than that flaw our stay was amazing!! We had a river front view the beds were soft and the shower was absolutely wonderful so all in all the location is amazing and we will return.

Near perfect stay! Hotel is right in the heart of Newport within walking distance from the aquarium. Very clean and updated. Room and beds was comfortable and had a nice view of the river and Cincinnati. Plenty of room for 5 or 6 people with the pull-out couch plus 2 double beds. Shower and A/C were perfect. Front desk staff was super kind and friendly! When the power went out briefly due to area weather, they handed out flash lights and snacks (and the emergency lighting worked well). Breakfast is from 6:30 to 9:30. Free parking for one vehicle. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay. The room was clean and spacious. This is an older hotel, so if you like places with character, then this is a great place to stay. We were on the 3rd floor and had a great view of the Ohio River and Cincinnati, Ohio. You can walk to the levy and Newport Aquarium if you want. It will take you about 10-15 minutes, but there are no sidewalks and you have to walk down Riverboat Road, (no sidewalks, just business parking lots), which with little ones in tow, I didn't risk it. It's not a place I would want to walk after dark. The staff at the hotel were extremely nice and helpful, and breakfast is served from 6:30-9:30 am so we didn't feel rushed in the morning. This hotel is surrounded by restaurant's. We had dinner one night at the new Cancun Grill. The food was good and the view of the river was great!! Very popular and busy place. There is also a seafood restaurant right behind the hotel.

A clean and cozy hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff! The morning breakfast crew was smiling and talking to everyone instead of the usuall growl and sneer you usually get, and they upgraded us to a river view room for free THEN upgraded us to a suite with a river view all for free. Very down to earth with hot breakfast comfy beds and very clean rooms

This was a very convenient and comfortable place to stay. The shuttle system takes you to all the main venues at a dollar a ride. That can't be beat. Being right on the river means you can catch the action there too. Friendly service, a very nice breakfast, and comfy beds at a fair price.

Stayed for a concert. Location was great, view of the river. Room was nice & clean. Staff was very friendly. Parking was tough due to construction on the building, but since we parked and took a ride share, wasn't a big deal.

We found the hotel clean and comfortable. We chose them because they are pet friendly and had a good price for the pet up charge. Truly much better experience than we had at a previous Comfort Suites in another town.

Great location within walking distance of places to eat and of course the riverfront.

Great price, awesome views, friendly staff. The breakfast was awesome! Huge variety and delicious muffins. Location is tops. Walking distance to the Levee and right over the bridge to downtown. Will DEF be staying here again!

Lauren at the front desk was the best. She seemed like she knew me from time of check in. I'm not sure how she can remember names so well!. Anything we needed she had!. Thanks again. Room was clean, housekeeping & breakfast staff was approachable and helpful. Thanks.

The hotel is in a nice neighborhood with many restaurants and stores nearby. We stayed here to attend a concert at US Bank Arena and were able to walk instead of paying for parking at the venue. We walked back via the Purple People Bridge after midnight and had no problems whatsoever. We felt very safe the entire route. MUCH cheaper than any of the nearby hotels in downtown Cincinnati, so we were very pleased! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The room was very clean with a large bathroom, and our room had a beautiful view of the river and the Cincinnati skyline.

Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Front desk staff was very friendly. Good location close to the aquarium and river. A few restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was good and the coffee was pretty good for a Comfort Suites.

We stayed here for a trip we took in May 2018 and it was absolutely amazing! I travel a lot for work and have been in a lot of hotel rooms and was a bit concerned with the price being so reasonable. We book a King Whirlpool room overlooking the river and there were no issues. The whirlpool tub was clean felt like heaven. The only concern we had was someone was smoking in a room and set off the alarms at 2:30 am but this was not their fault. It did make us have to go outside but we got a super cool picture of the bride to Cincinnati all light up. I cant wait to come back to Kentucky and my husband/I will be staying here again.

They have coffee! Not just in your room coffee, a machine outside of the breakfast room!
They also have books and games to use and IF you want to finish your book after you leave YOU CAN TAKE IT WITH YOU!

Great place to stay. Staff was very nice. Stayed in one of the King Bed suites with living room. Plenty of room, clean and great river view!! Breakfast ran until 9:30 and was very good!! Very satisfied with our stay.
