A&C Electric

A&C Electric furnished a Generac Portable Home Generator and installed a power transfer switch and power inlet box. Now all we have to do is plug the generator into the power inlet box, press the generators electric start switch and our home electrical circuits operate on backup power! Can not say enough positive words about my experience in dealing with Chris & A&C Electric. Starting with the initial phone inquiry, to the scheduled in-home estimate, and through the installation, all aspects of this project were perfectly executed for a fair and reasonable cost. So very pleased to find Chris with A&C Electric to take over maintenance of my whole house generator. He returned my phone calls promptly. He answered all my questions. Set up my appointment at my convenience and was right on time with a phone call ahead just to let me know he was on his way. He was courteous and professional. And of course as an electrician with years of experience he knew exactly what was needed to insure the generator would run efficiently. Chris is really great to work with! First, he actually returns your call which a lot of people down here haven’t figured out how to do that yet. Second, he’s upfront with you about the cost and what options will cost and also let’s you know about what any unforeseen problems may happen. Lastly, he just makes you feel at ease, like you made a good decision trusting him with your project. Since the project is at the mercy of the supplier, he has been really good at giving us updates on shipping delays and/or production delays or any improvement in delivery status.

We've had Chris out to our house twice -- once to install a ground wire for a flexible gas line and later to fix a ceiling light that stopped working. I'll be getting him back out a third time in about a month to do the electrical aspects of installing a tankless water heater.

Chris is really great: highly skilled with very high quality standards, able to fix the quirky or shoddy work done by others in a short time and for an extremely reasonable price. He does tend to be busy, and that's not a bad thing: his bookings are the social proof that you're getting someone who does great work.

I can't speak highly enough of Chris and the electrical work he did on our home. All of the above—quality, value, professionalism, responsiveness, and punctuality—were superb. We had one job we had a terrible time getting someone to take care of, and Chris got right on it and charged us a very reasonable amount. Highly recommended!

Needed help repairing switch, wires capped and hanging out my wall. Called, advised of immediate necessary repair, even though he had a full schedule, he made time to come. Other electricians I called, I'm still waiting to hear back so i can tell them don't bother. Was very knowledgeable, and will be doing more work for me on other issues soon. Highly recommend. Also keeps in contact as he promises to advise of time of arrival. Very professional. Again, highly recommend. I'll use no other electrician even if I have to wait to get service. Chris was very friendly and professional! At the beginning he explained a lot of what he needed to do before doing a thing as a part of the cost estimate. He worked very quickly and didn't overcharge me at all. He tried very hard to stay within the time frame he told me it would take to do the job. Everything was handled very cleanly and very professionally. We would have no problem referring him to our friends and family or asking him to come back to handle more of our electrical needs.

Chris was recommended to me by my AC repair man and I was very fortunate! My elderly mother who lives alone kept losing power in her home. There was a serious problem with her main power panel. On Friday, Chris rearranged his schedule to come fix her panel so she wouldnt go through the weekend without power. He went above and beyond. His pricing is very reasonable and the repair was professionally done. My mother was so happy with him, that she just hired him to do another job on her house.

Today was the second time that Chris Powell has performed electrical work at my home. The first involved converting an old fuse box to circuit breakers. Today he repaired faulty wiring connecting an addition to my house. On both occasions he accomplished the needed repairs in an exceptional and timely manner and provided a written report for my insurance company the same day. After several appointments with other Electricians that never returned my calls, and, or just didn’t show up, I got lucky and found A&C Electric right here in Long Beach. Chriss Powell the Owner returned my call immediately. Stopped by the next day to see what I needed done, and made several suggestions. Said he’d get an estimate to me by morning and did, which included make, serial #, location in store, and pricing. Chris with A&C Electric did extensive electrical work on my 65 year old home. The home had not had any electrical updates from when it was built. He went above my expectations to make sure it was done correctly. His price was very fair and he was always on the job site when he said he would be there. His professionalism is exemplary.

Chris was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done and took care of the problem in no time. Mr. Chris Powell is an outstanding electrician. After a home inspection I contacted Chris to make repairs. Mr. Powell was responsive to my concerns and corrected each electrical issue sited by the home inspector. He also problem solved a complex electrical issue with the light switch in my kitchen.
