Shaggy's Gulfport Beach

WOW! I was blown away by the service and the overall vibe here. Our server, Serenity, was awesome in guiding us through the menu as first-timers at Shaggy's. I loved seeing the staff working as a team, and they kept checking in on how we were doing. I ordered the Shaggy's Trio and that was phenomenal--definitely had my fill of shrimp. Drinks were great, food was great, and the views of the Gulf of Mexico/beach were great. It definitely got me reminiscing my times in Keys West. You won't go wrong in coming to Shaggy's for good food and a good time!

Excellent place to dine-in and they accommodated downstairs because my wife can’t climb stairs. The food was excellent! I especially Loved the She-Crab soup which is only second to the Charleston Crab House and I have eaten it in many different places. The BBQ was second to none as it melt in my mouth and had an amazing flavor of slow cooked smoked pork. My wife also said her fish was wonderful as well. Shaggy’s is a must stop to eat at while visiting the Gulf!

My husband and I have visited this location four times, and have loved each experience. Today our waitress was; " Serenity " and she was very kind and helpful. We also had another lady take our drink order, and we loved her too. Unfortunately, we cannot remember her name. I love the beach view and the food.

Had lunch here on a Saturday and loved everything about it. Although the place was busy, we sat down fairly quickly. Carlee and Damien were our servers and they recommended some delicious dishes. They were super nice as was the rest of the staff as well. The food Was incredible! We had the tuna stuffed avocados, the seafood fries, bacon wrapped shrimp and snapper over a bed of Elote . They had an excellent selection of craft beers too. Cheers to everyone who makes this place so special! can’t wait to go back.

Serenity was our waitress and she did an amazing job! We were greeted promptly when we entered by the host and what I assume was the manager. Everyone was helpful, kind and prompt. Food was Fantastic!! Location was clean, well put together and wonderful.

Wanted to go to the other Shaggy's 20 miles down the road in the harbor. I've heard great things about it from an acquaintance. Due to work and time constraints,I went to the one in Gulfport. It did not disappoint. Plus they're dog friendly (5 more stars😊)

I love the fact they are dog friendly on the deck area and even have a mini dog menu. They have cornhole to play while you wait and offer drinks at a discount while you wait for your table.

When we shared with people we were staying in Gulfport, several recommended Shaggy's and it did not disappoint! Received excellent service from Serenity (she cheerfully put up with my husband's old man rambling)! The food was excellent! I had ahi tuna stuffed avocados and she crab soup (a must try if you've never had it!). My husband had crab stuffed flounder. We will definitely be visiting again!

The food was AMAZING!!! I recommend the catfish and southwest bowl! It was amazing and the heating was super nice. I felt welcomed and our waiter Jacob took amazing care of us! Thank you so much Jacob for taking care of our bus full!!!

Great meal by the water. Food was excellent; we got “beach balls” as our appetizer, my wife ordered crab cakes, and I ordered Royal Reds. Fantastic food. The Royal Reds dish was spicy, which they warned me about, but for me it was perfect. The service was also excellent. It seemed like their staff was all on the same page. Great spot. If you’re in Gulfport you should go eat here one evening.

Lauren was awesome!! She is the best waitress I have ever had. If you come here ask for her she is the best!! Cooks are also awesome and the atmosphere is great!!

I opted for dinner at Shaggy's and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Service was superior and their jerk shrimp dinner left me wanting more. I still have dreams about that dish and how delicious it was. Talk about flavoring and leaving you wanting more. You can best believe I will be going back.

I arrived in Mississippi from Canada today and in 2 hours found this restaurant while walking around the neighborhood close to the hotel I'm staying at. Let me tell you, my heart is absolutely full. Yes, the food is amazing but the people made it a whole lot better. I wish I got everyone's name. It was Johnathan's first day and I had to give him a hug before I left....he's a natural. I couldn't believe how friendly everyone was. It's amazing. People are so wonderful. Definitely returning before again before my trip ends.

Eliza and Devin are amazing! They help us with everything we needed. Their hospitality is one of a kind and they honestly went above and beyond for me and my family. It was the perfect touch to a perfect vacation! Way to go guys!

Great food and excellent service. Our waiter Ace was very personable and fun. Our family( 13 of us) had a variety of dishes and appetizers and everyone enjoyed their meal. Shaggy’s is the place in Gulfport!

Food is great. It never disappoints. Absolutely love every time we come to any of the Shaggy restaurants. The firecracker shrimp tacos are absolutely amazing. And let’s not forget the mahi-mahi tacos. Yum!!! The atmosphere is unbelievable. All the staff are so fun to interact with. Favorite place to eat when I come to the coast. Definitely five stars all around!!!!

Nice atmosphere - had the royal reds which were awesome… Tristen suggested a wonderful combo for dessert Key Lime Pie with a Key Lime Daquiri!! Get yourselves hooked up with Tristen for this fantastic dessert !Thanks guys - two thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼

Excellent hospitality. When you walk in, you're greeted by a friendly fellow named Jay and the guy who looks like happy Gilmore's caddy. Very attentive and the ingredients in their food is above and beyond. Sounds good

Absolutely loved it. Cooper is amazing and recommended all the right things! Definitely go out to the beach front bar & enjoy the Royal Reds. I will definitely back if I ever come back out this way.
