Justice Court

Everyone was incredibly courteous and professional here-from the security guard to the judge. The bathrooms were clean and the courtroom was well kept. I know courthouses have a very negative connotation, but I was extremely impressed because you wouldn’t have that experience in New Orleans where I drove in from.

We walked in to the Justice Court to get married. The security officer was incredibly kind! He directed us to the location where we learned that there were no judges that afternoon available for marriage ceremonies! Disappointed, we walked away only to be flagged down Judge Ray. He went out of his way that day so we could get married. This is not the normal occurance and we greatly appreciate him! Ms Gail escorted us into courtroom and told us she would be the first to congratulate us when we walked out. She was! A lovely experience! Thank you!

Don't seek justice here if you are an individual. You will not find it. You have to be one of the local good ole boys.

I had to make a visit to the justice court to file a small claims suit. I’ve neber done this before, I don’t know the exact process and of course would have questions. The women behind the glass are by far the rudest! They don’t even greet you upon arrival or even indicate if they will be with you in a moment. They made me feel as if I was such an inconvenience to their day! They should not be in customer service, serving the public who pays taxes and their wages! They are not professional, speak with attitude and don’t even dress business casual. Their service is unacceptable! I had to call in a couple weeks later and when the phone was answered she kept talking with her co worker about what they wanted for lunch, out ne on hold for approximately 10 minutes I had to hang up and call back. These women have probably been working here for years and run this place like they own it and treat the customer with no respect.

Needs to be reevaluated because there is some real injustice going on with the place and it doesn't even need to be in the justice league or system in hc they have gotten better to the way I get treated but I'm sure it still remains injustice to others needs a investigation done on them

wage garnishment. apparently its perfectly fine to charge $225.00 MORE than you actually owe. Our justice system is a crock. If i were unemployed and had NO insurance it would be written off BUT NOOOOOOO screw over the folks that actually work for their money and barely break even every paycheck. sounds about right. The justice court employee told me "we need to get paid too"......how about taking money from people who refuse to pay their bills, not people like me who offered a payment plan that apparently wasn't enough and was told all or nothing. so now i have no choice to pay my $400 but now instead owe $625 for other reason than to line your greedy pockets. How do you people sleep at night? probably on a real cushy pillow because you force poor people to pay for literally nothing more than an overpriced stamp to mail a garnishment order. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!

I have attempted to contact this justice court with no answer. I used the provided contact as well as several found on multiple websites. Either nobody works there, or nobody wants to work there. How am I to communicate with these people while not living in the area?!

The worst call center by far of any place. The number that is listed isn’t even the right number, I had to call a different justice court to get the correct number

If you come to check in for court for a traffic violation don't show up early. If you show up early you will be seen last. If you show up in between 845 and 9AM you will be the first one seen.

I have been trying to call this place for two weeks. I get no answer or a busy signal. I'm trying to pay on something and I don't live in the state or around it. Who do I have to call, what gives where is a real number to contact these people?

They obviously don’t know how to work a fax machine.
