Dixie Queen Seafood Restaurant

I have been going here since I was very little. I miss the waitress dresses they use to wear, but the food dose not disappoint! The best seafood around! 10 out of 10! The cashier lady was very patient with me & so kind! LOVE LOVE LOOVVEEE the broccoli & cheese sauce! OMGG! One of the best sides! Plus their huspuppies are heaven!

Everything was great! I had been craving some scallops and they're the closest place around that has them and cooks them well! And they give you a decent amount for the price

Wow! I was taken here for dinner by a friend while on a trip to Grifton. She's been going here for years and that's about all she would say..

We popped in around 5:15pm - 5:30pm, seated immediately and the place was already 90% full. It's very basic inside, almost like a cafeteria, don't let this full you. Our waitress came by took the drink orders and and was back in a flash with our glasses of Mt. Dew and an order of hush puppies for each of us. There was a big bowl full those butter already on the table. BTW, hush puppies are pretty much unlimited, as the waitress brought them to the table at least 3 times each without asking for more.

We each ordered the fried shrimp dinner, which comes with two sides, and again within just a few minutes of placing the order the entree was on the table. This was really good shrimp. It was lightly battered, cooked perfectly and very tender. The cocktail sauce was excellent as well. The best way to describe its consistency would be to say it reminds me of a marina sauce. Thin and served at room temperature, not lumpy or cold. It is delicious, perfect for dipping and has a little bit of a spicy kick to it!

By the time the meal was over the place had filled to capacity and there were others waiting in the lobby to get inside. If we had a Dixie Queen back home in Va. Beach I dare say they would put a lot of these seafood places out of business. What a great meal!

This is the best place to get oysters. They are right on the money every time. Customer service is always friendly when I come.

Have been coming here since I was a kid and consistently has the best snow crab I’ve ever had. Hush puppies are also top-tier!

Food was hot and delicious. I'm not a big seafood person but, the trout dinner was great. I will be going back.

I love that cajun catfish. Whoever is battering that fish is very good at it. 10/10 would eat again.

If I could give Dixie Queen a thousand stars, I would. Best seafood I have ever had. Most tender clams anywhere. I'm headed for a food coma. Lol 😁

This was my first visit to Dixie Queen Seafood Restaurant. Some friends took my Aunt & I and we had a wonderful time. The Shrimp & Stuffed Crabs, that I had, were especially good! In fact, every food we had not only looked good, but was good! This might have been my first visit, but Lord willing, it won't be my last. There are a bunch of choices of foods, regardless of your taste. I would suggest that you at least try it when you get the chance. They don't open till 4p.m. though. Am not sure how many days they are open. Enjoy!

They were very busy but the service was top notch, the food plentiful, hot and delicious. Our server was Sunshine and she was over the top magnificent. A super seafood restaurant!!
