Paddle NC guide Mark H. was amazing!! We paddled the area for 4 hours and ended up on Shark Island. Very interesting history and loads of fossilized shark teeth and stingray teeth plates. A must if in the area♡

The kids and I spent some time combing the beach for teeth. Only found a couple of small, fossilized, shark teeth. Nothing spectacular. Still, it was a lot of fun kayaking out there. There are signs up telling you to stay off the dunes, so we restricted our search to the waterline and beach area.

One of my best memories of shark tooth island was watching a large group of dolphins swimming by. It is so beautiful and peaceful.
