Top Dawg Tavern - Columbia, SC

Coming from the Atlanta area to see a friend he recommended this restaurant. He's heard good things about it from plenty of people and I must say the food was really good. The atmosphere was really positive and had good vibes. I can see this establishment being packed on a Saturday and Sunday during football season. There's flat screens all over the place. Our server was really cool and recommended certain dishes and answered my questions. It was very pleasant speaking with him. My apologies for forgetting his name but I do remember he's from New Orleans. There was a 15 minute wait when we arrived, they had seats up front for you to sit while waiting. The restaurant was very clean and packed. Also there was free and plenty of parking in the area. My visit was on 2/17/24. I ordered chicken tender with fries and added chili with cheese. Also had a sweetened tea with lemons. The establishment does offer military discount after showing ID.

The server was pleasant! We had loaded potato skins, wings and fries! The food was fresh and tasty!

First time visiting and my experience was great. The prices was reasonable and the staff was friendly. I had grilled chicken blackened pasta and it was sooooo good with a Caesar salad that was so fresh! My friend had the buffalo wings and he said those were very good. They have appetizer specials on food and drinks and overall the prices were affordable in my opinion. I rated five stars and highly recommend if you in the area.

First time here and not one complaint! All the food was great I had Wings, mozzarella sticks, fried green tomatoes, sweet and spicy shrimp for the appetizer. On Thursday the have $8 apps so why not try them. Dinner I had the Cobb salad HUGE other guest with me hand flounder and shrimp and a flounder sandwich which both was great.

The food was fresh and the wings were fried hard and the sweet potato fries with apple butter sauce 😋.

Coming to this place with a large group of teens for an outing for our soon to be 26 years old was a great experience the wait for a table was shorter than expected we chilled at the bar while the teens enjoyed themselves.

This was our first time here and it was amazing. Angel was our server and she was beyond wonderful! Fried pickles were hands down the best ever! A whole pickle spear! All the food was great. Definitely will be our go to when we are close by

Stopped in for lunch on a rainy day and it was great! The service was very attentive and nice. Love the fried pickles happy they weren't salty like some places. The Philly was perfect but I did go home and more seasoning to the chicken pasta (still really great and creamy).

Top Dawg is a go to on any night. Their food is always consistent and servers are always friendly. Very affordable and they always have specials during the week. My favorite items are the buffalo chicken dip and the red sangria. Kid friendly!

This is a great place to gather for a drink and a meal. Laid back atmosphere. Try the burgers, they are one of my favorites.

My bestie and I came to Top Dawg today, and it was our first time visiting. Madison was our waitress and she was great! I forgot to take pictures of our food but it was delicious. We ordered the fried cod and shrimp, the kids had their meals from the kids menu and it came out fast! Service was great and atmosphere was super chill! Margaritas were on point!! We’ll definitely be back!

Food was amazing as always. The wings were fire and everything we tried was good. The wings, steak, that chicken pasta thing, fish and chips. All amazing. Great service too and the bathrooms were clean.

Were sat as soon as we walked in, drinks on our table within 2 minutes of sitting down, food on our table within 30 minutes of walking in. Wonderful service and food! Even on a Sunday night Game night!

Love it here!, not a bad dish since we started coming here and the drinks are spot on. Good food, good atmosphere, fair prices and great staff.

Great service and food. I had the golden bbq wings, never had golden bbq before then so I was worried but they were very good (mustard base)

Amazing food, fast service, incredible staff. I’ve been coming here since they’ve opened and I can’t think of a time I’ve been disappointed. Wait time can vary depending on how busy they are (standard for any restaurant), but the food always comes out fresh and delicious. The staff here are all very welcoming and friendly. The open-room layout of the restaurant gives it a vibrant and open atmosphere. Room can be loud when busy, so if there are noise sensitive people I would choose somewhere else. Would recommend to anyone else.

Sooo good! idk how I didn't knw about this place sooner. Good atmosphere. Nice waitresses. Delicious cocktails 🍹 Steakbite & mashed potatoes appetizer was great minus the horse dip -had it twice. Tavern burger 9.5. Sweet potato fries w apple butter omg best combo ever! Fried green tomato blt was good even though I had to remove the inedible old hard bacon. Perfectly cooked broccoli. Plenty
more things I want to try looking forward to going again.

Absolutely love coming here with the family. We come almost every week to unwind and listen to their live music. We also love getting our drinks from Kary! She is our favorite bartender, so kind and attentive. Definitely would recommend coming at least once to try the food and experience the wonderful atmosphere🤗
