This place was fun and it was all so yummy food. We even came back for lunch after having a wonderful breakfast on the same day. They're gluten free cheese biscuit- pictures below- was amazing. My husband liked his regular food also. There is a cute little play area for the kids.

I recently found out I have to be gluten free and dairy free due to an autoimmune disease. I would normally bake my own cake for my bday, but have not practiced with the new ingredients I have to use, so I looked online and found the Local Buzz. I emailed and the owner responded very quickly, answered all my questions, and was overall wonderful. I ordered a small "funfetti-ish" bday cake. I brought it home and just tried it. I wasn't sure what to expect, but am PLEASANTLY surprised!! Its very yummy!! There is definitely a difference in texture from "regular" cake, but it wasn't bad ..just different. I couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience!! I will go back without a doubt! Excellent!

This morning I had a little time before a haircut and decided to take my little’s here for a muffin and get the rare treat of a coffee for myself. It is so nice to find a place that will let my kids be kids in a coffee shop! The Chai Tea Latte is one of the best I’ve had and my children devoured a delicious muffin. I will certainly be back!

Best, most fresh gluten free pastry I’ve ever had. The owner is so friendly and helpful. TONS of options for all dietary restrictions, it was so hard to choose!!

I hosted my sisters baby shower here and we had an amazing time. The cafe is so cozy and it was perfect for 35 people. The owner, Stephanie, was so great to work with and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! You can really tell that she pours her heart into this place because it shows! It’s an awesome spot for kids as well- lots of toys, games and books! Just perfect! I highly recommend!

Such a sweet place to grab a cup of coffee downtown! Stephanie is the best and she will take great care of you! Not mention the coffee and baked goods are amazing! So many options for gluten free, dairy free, and keto friendly! It's a must stop location in 5 points!

I have stopped in a few times with some of my mom friends, and our new babies and had the most wonderful experience! The workers were so kind and accommodating, and I didn't feel like I was a nuisance for bringing along my small child. The coffee was great, but it was the staff and the environment that makes me want to keep coming back! Thank you for creating such a welcoming place in the neighborhood.

Stephanie is always so welcoming, I look forward to picking out my coffee cup and relaxing on her very comfy couch. She always welcomes my fur baby in and offers water and a treat!

This is the best place in town to get gluten-free pastries and desserts - these taste as good as anything you've had with gluten, it is not the disappointing"cardboard" type one sometimes finds elsewhere. Although the selection changes day to day, there are usually a few options each of gluten-free, vegan and paleo. They also have brunch options at certain times and days. The owner makes everything herself and does some catering, so if there is something special you are looking for, let her know. Of course they also have espresso style coffee. Parking can be a little challenging and is metered, so bring your quarters and your patience if you are driving, or try the less busy times. The hours have changed from the previous location. so please check the new days and hours so you won't be disappointed.

This has become my new favorite spot in Columbia. The atmosphere is so neat and the people who work there are so kind and helpful. Every time I'm in there there staff are having intentional conversations either with each other or with the customers. The food is slightly pricey but in my opinion it is worth it--hands down one of the best cafés in Columbia.

Most wonderful place I’ve experienced in Columbia, between gluten-free options and expertise and the wonderful Ms. Stephanie, you can’t ask for a better coffee shop and cafe. I’m visiting from Maine and as a vegan I’ve had a really hard time finding a place that’ll actually serve you fresh vegetables (and not just ultra processed meat and pastry alternatives.) This is the first place I’ve found something to eat that felt good in my body this whole trip. Ultra welcoming atmosphere and the owner was lovely to chat with!

I randomly searched for a place near my house to visit for lunch with a friend. I had never heard of this place before, but I looked at their Facebook posts and decided to try The Local Buzz out. I'm so happy and thankful that I did! The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming, the staff were personable, courteous, and accommodating. The meals and hot beverages that my friend and I ate were simplistic, yet flavorful. It was the perfect location for catching up with a good friend in the midst of a busy day. I would definitely give this place a try for most occasions - study session, first date, catching up with friends, etc.! I hope y'all become a neighborhood staple!

Can't say enough great things about this place. It's warm and friendly. The food is amazing. They care about things like food allergies and vegetarian options. They empower young folks to do better. They support the community. Oh, and the coffee is really good too.

First time at this establishment and it was amazing. The latte and food I had was exceptional. Great place to tuck away in the corner and read which I did. The staff was friendly and absolutely hospitable. Prices were very affordable. I definitely suggest whether you are from Columbia or passing through you should stop in and relax and unwind! 10/10

Was looking for gluten free brownies that were a special request for a wedding and found them here. Not only did we end up with gluten free, they also offered a keto version! All the brownies received amazing compliments because they were delicious! The owner even went the extra mile and decorated the brownies to the match the bride’s skull “cake topper”. Highly recommended this bakery!

TLB has a delicious variety of drinks and treats and a super welcoming environment. We've hosted student events there on multiple occasions, and all the employees are kind, accommodating and flexible. It's an ideal afternoon stop for nearby students, and it's my go-to for gluten free treats, some local ice cream from Sweet Cream, or a latte. Prices are the most reasonable I've seen in town!

The owner and staff have created a local coffee shop that feels like walking into your own home. With fresh roasted and brewed Turtle Creek coffee, house-made desserts (including vegan and GF!) and rotating daily lunch specials, I can't say enough about how much I appreciate the food and atmosphere at this non-corporate neighborhood cafe. The Local Buzz isn't just a place to grab a cup of coffee or a sandwich—they've made me feel like a member of their family. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I stopped in when I saw a new coffee spot near my house, and I was pleasantly surprised. There is probably 3-5x as much room as your typical coffee shop. It would be very easy to coordinate small meetings and gatherings here. I like that, because every other coffee shop in town is packed at every hour of the day.
