Supermercado El Mariachi - West Columbia

Can't got wrong at the mercado. On a real note they got alot of frozen fruit pulp, no sugars, no additives, just raw pulp. Go ahead and get you some and make some juice, bet it will change your life. They do have some good produce for sure, and if you are looking for Avocados that are bigger than your fist "yeah I'm looking at you publix" then head there for sure, they will perfectly ripe. They have restaurant in the back, but Grama in the back was vibin so its all gold

Excellent food. Although the server didn’t speak English she was very nice and efficient. Will definitely return and I’ll be shopping here as well

Authentic Mexican food. Everything was made fresh and to order. They even have masa preparada para tamales! If I could give more stars, I would.

The food here is authentic and delicious! I don't know if people know there is a restaurant in the Supermercado El Mariachi but if you're looking for some of the best Mexican food ever this is the place.

This store is great. Very fully stocked and the associates are very friendly. Prices are reasonable and you are able to find everything you need.

Great food, decent produce, delicious meat selections. We buy raw chorizo and Carne asada taco meat all the time. They have beautiful pottery as well. This one me and my husband laughed, I'm going back to get it lol

Loved the pastries! Can of squirt tasted amazing. Can of tunafish with corn and Jalapeños. 2 glass bottles of Sprite. New Cheetos, red orange bag. Going to repay debts with what I bought to family friends. No one answered the phone! Had picnic set up. Was stood up!

This place makes the best Mexican/ Salvadorian food in Columbia. Seriously. I actually like it better than any of the food I ate in Mexico. Don't bother with Mexican restaurants with fancy store fronts. These people know what they are doing. The guacamole is the best anywhere. The staff does not know much English, but they would know enough to take your order. Personally, I like to practice speaking Spanish with them. The shop has good stuff for making your own Mexican food at home.

If you love fajitas, you need to come to this place! It's amazingly good and the portion is like for three people!!!! The whole store/ restaurant will remind you of fiestas back to your homeland if you're Hispanic or Filipino!!!!!

Great place. Fresh fruit and vegetables of incredible variety and low prices. Same goes for meats. LABELS ARE ALL IN SPANISH.
Can be confusing as lemons become "limes" and limes become "limons."
Other than that, almost everything is cognates, or words that appear similar in English and Spanish, so NON-SPANISH SPEAKERS CAN STILL BENEFIT FROM SHOPPING HERE.
Great candy selection, with plenty of Mexican chocolate. Great pastry and Asian cuisine selections as well.

I have been here three times since moving to Augusta, Georgia a little over a year ago and I wish that I lived closer to Columbia because I probably would go more often if it were not for the hour long drive. This is the best place that I have found to get pupusas (that are not store bought and frozen) since being in Honduras and El Salvador. I cannot vouch for the rest of the menu but if you are on the lookout for some comfort food... there it is.

Parking for the restaurant is better if you pack near the back of the building, otherwise you have to walk all the way through the store. And as if you needed any more of a bonus than the expectation of delicious food, you get serenaded by the jukebox mariachi when you come in through the back.

One note, while you probably will be fine if you do not speak Spanish most of the staff that I have met so far felt more comfortable with you if you speak Spanish. Even if you just try. So do try, no one will judge you if you can't speak it perfectly! Embrace the total experience! I love it because it gives me a real opportunity to use my Spanish outside of my own head.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant in the Columbia area.
El Mariachi is a supermarket and butcher shop with a sit down/take out restaurant in the rear of the store.
I have visited several times and find the food to be better flavored than any of the other authentic Mexican joints nearby.
A great variety of choices on the menu,I can vouch for the tacos/tamales/ceviche.
I will sample some other menu items on my next visit and update my review.

Love this place! Wonderful bread and Mexican pastries. They also have a meat market with a large selection and a great restaurant with authentic Mexican food. You really need to come to this place!

Spicy steak is what I like from this perfectly great Mexican restaurant/grocery. Also it's great to go to El Mariachi for chorizo eggs and beer or "cervesa".

I am From Honduras, But I really Love Mexican food, and this is the best place to get the best Mexican food. i bring everyone here!
