Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbia/At Fort Jackson

The hotel was purchased a couple of years ago by TMC and underwent major changes including obviously a change to management. It is very much improved over what it used to be. It is very well run, clean, efficient, and serve a nice breakfast.
It is only a few blocks from Interstate 77 and has adequate parking. I would thoroughly recommend it for a very reasonably priced, nice hotel if you are passing through or are looking to stay for a few days in Columbia.

I stayed for two nights and for a lower budget hotel, this was excellent value. I understand from talking to another customer that the place is under new ownership and this has made a huge difference to quality and cleanliness.
It's not a huge hotel but there is plenty of parking and friendly service. I will stay again.

I stayed here two nights. The first night I stayed at the room I stayed in a room with no working ac. I reported to front desk where the front desk clark was sleep in the back. I had to call the hotel phone to wake her up to come and assist me. after explaining my concerns she offered to put me in a double room because that was all that was available. when I originally booked a king room. So I asked if I was to move to that double room for that one night could they accommodate me with a king room for the second night. She told me no I would have to stay in the double room for both nights. So I waited till the morning and asked for a manager and was told that he wouldn't be in until monday. I explained to that front desk employee what the night front desk clark employee had did to me and she was much nicer and understandable. She then accommodated me with a king room for the last night and told me to call a manager the next day. I did just that and he assured me that that situation shouldn't have never happen. He told me I should have been offered a fan and that the situation should have been better handled by the night clark. The gentleman was very nice and understandable.

This hotel was purchased a couple of years ago by Annett Holdings and underwent a major transformation. The service is excellent and the level of cleanliness increased tremendously. It is very close to I-77 and also very close to restaurants and other facilities. It is very nice and reasonably priced.

Me and my daughter was in town for a tournament booked online weeks in advance the day of check in I called the front desk and told them that we will be checking in late ahead of time when we arrive we was greeted soon as we walked in check in was a breeze easy 2-3min. she told us the breakfast times and if we need anything let her know got to the room super clean just like the pictures which we were surprised everything worked every person that we seen working the front desk was super nice breakfast was just like waffle maker, orange and apple juice not the watered down ones, granola bars, bagels, yogurt, fruit, coffee, cereal, milk, oat meal, the big muffins and thats about it but everything we needed so no complaints on my end very quiet when sleeping beds are soft and comfortable location is great near everything restaurants, walmart we will book here again when we are in the area .

Excellent service PROVIDED by Ms Ebony Ms Catonya and Christine. We will definitely book again and soon. They all went above and beyond their expectations including all housekeeping. Very professional courteous and friendly towards me and my daughter. Very Comfortable atmosphere and met all of me and my daughters needs without question. See you guys soon.

Service was on point. Property was clean and well kept. No loitering by the locals or otherwise! Rooms were top notch… especially the BATHROOM!!! I can’t say enough to express how very important that is to me!! Huge deal and they passed with flying colors!!! Columbias hidden gem!!! Truly!!!

Friendly staff, clean enough and perfect for what needed which was a bed on the road. Will stay again. Breakfast was typical continental fare, but there are diners nearby.

The staff very friendly the room was clean breakfast was ok little hard to find hotel the sign not light up I would stay here again $100 worth it 😁

Jacai and his staff were friendly and provided us with great service. I really like the feeling of seclusion with the city around us. Beautiful scenery...forest. 4 star for room because bathtub very slippery. Thank y'all!

We stayed here for our son’s graduation from Fort Jackson. Location was perfect with easy interstate access. Great front desk staff! Rooms were comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast was great with lots of options. Very affordable rates as well.

My weekend home away from home at Microtel Inn was an awesome experience! I enjoyed the cleanliness of my room, customer service and location were awesome! An item was left in the room and the hotel was kind enough to contact me and had it readily available for me to pick up. I look forward to future visits to this location!!

Definitely recommend this place!! Stay over a week! Every day housekeeping clean room brings fresh towels!
Room clean and nice have carpet on floor but not smell!! Brand new Landry room 5 washer and 5 dryer!

OMG, a TMC hotel and I was sleeping until 10, great bed and a good rest. Missed breakfast.

Very nice and very clean. Smelled wonderful. The other Wyndham was trash this one is very nice. I posted a review of that one as well. I’ve stayed in both in a matter of a few days. Can’t help but wonder if some people are reviewing this one thinking it’s the other one. This one is well maintained. It’s night and day difference. The staff is friendly here too.
I wouldn’t mind staying here again. The other one I’d rather sleep in my car 😬.

We book this about 2 months prior to our planned arrival.we had a little "confusion " with the reservation but Cassius took the time to not only help try to sort things out. He actually looked into things further and called Us back to confirm all was well with our room. The place is clean. The entire staff TOP NOTCH! We will be back!! I see a lot of bad reviews but honestly we stay at this hotel at least twice a month and have honestly never had any problems. The rooms are always clean and the staff is very pleasant. Raj the manager always makes sure that we have everything we need and is very polite. I would recommend this hotel. 👍

I came to town for a week for work. My job rents here alot. The staff are friendly and very professional. The rooms are very clean and if you need anything they are right there to help. The manager Raj goes way beyond to make sure your stay is good, he's absolutely amazing!!! I will be visiting again in the near future and not just for work!!!

Called this hotel as we were evacuating Florida for the hurricane. He had a couple cancellations that allowed us to get two rooms for a few nights. Then we found out they didn't allow pets and we travel with our two mature Yorkie dogs. The clerk put on the General Manager, Roger, and he made an exception to allow the pets and we we're en route to Columbia, S.C. Got to the hotel and was met with a nice gentleman at the desk who had us 100% ready and we were in our rooms within minutes. Much appreciated after 10 hours on the road with 3 adults and 2 dogs in the car! Check in was seamless and the rooms we're clean and cool! Can't ask for much better service or hospitality and we would definitely recommend this to any travelers who wants a clean room for a reasonable rate. Thanks again to this hotel!
