Carolina Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine

I graduated from physical therapy today!! I was living with severe back pain when I started treatment at Carolina Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine (Pikens St.). My therapist Megan is amazing! She's skilled, compassionate, and encouraging. There were moments when I was discouraged and shed some tears, but she was patient and wouldn't let me give up. Her push kept me going and I'm so grateful for that!

I also worked with Alana and Andrew, who took great care of me. The dry needling sessions with Andrew were game changing! The entire staff, including the assistants Chazy & Michael and the receptionist Natalie were always friendly and professional.

I'm going to miss the entertaining conversations and welcoming environment, but I'm so blessed to graduate feeling amazing with little to no pain and improved mobility. I highly recommend this office for your physical therapy needs!

Carolina Physical Therapy is great! I have been doing PT here for 3 months after ACL surgery and Alanna and Andrew have been great at connecting with me personally and making a personal plan for recovery. I would highly recommend them for any PT needs!

The staff at Carolina PT is super friendly, and were very accommodating as I recovered from a weightlifting injury. I'd recommend any student at UofSC whose insurance is out of network with the Student Health Center to come here.

I highly recommend Carolina Physical Therapy. Eric Williams, my therapist for 10 weeks, helped me to walk again with no pain. When I first started with Carolina PT, I could barely walk due to excruciating pain in my lower back, hip, and right leg. Eric showed just the right amount of professionalism mixed with kind, caring support that made me want to heal faster. Thank you!!!

Excellent!! Absolutely the best; every staff member so friendly, professional and provided such amazing knowledge; explained all exercises and how they related to my injuries. Great rapport with everyone there. Made exercises fun and showed such concern for my needs. I was healed from my injuries through their program. Miss going there. Wonderful experience!!!!

I had a nagging injury for just about a year and Carolina PT - Pickens Street worked with me before and after surgery until I was 100% back to my normal activity. So thankful for this place and these people. Would highly recommend to anybody in the Columbia area.

I absolutely love the staff. They were professional, kind and helpful. My time there helped me to manage my hip pain with the various exercises that I can do at home. Thanks to all of them that made it a pleasant experience. I would certainly recommend them to anyone in need of their services.

This is AWESOME place to get help for aches and pains. My knees are being worked on so I can keep being able to drive and walk. I need help for exercising tips so I can get back keeping my weight under control. I’m sooo grateful for the wonderful team of people they have there they make getting better fun!

Great place to have Physical therapy done. Fantastic staff and they do an excellent job helping out. Megan, Alana, and Andrew are such friendly Physical Therapists to work with. There isn't another physical therapy in Columbia I would go to other than this one in my opinion.

CPT really came through when I needed them.. I was experiencing the worst pain of my life after my accident and everyone here made me feel better and comfortable! From the front desk, Natalie is amazing.. so sweet and helpful, a great face to see when coming in. Andrew is awesome and has great conversation. He gave me tremendous hope about the healing process. And lastly, Alanna was my PTist for the remainder of the time I was there. She is very assuring, caring and kept me laughing and in a good mood. Today, I said my goodbyes to my PT chapter, as I no longer need it but would completely recommend to anyone looking for great care. The location is convenient, the facility is clean, and the entire staff is welcoming and will make you feel like family! Thank you everyone who helped me. <3

Alanna is the best physical therapist I’ve had. It’s nice to have the same person work with you each time you come in because they know what you can do. Alanna is always happy, fun, and makes her patients feel welcome. The whole staff are the best! Andrew, Kristen and Gordon are great. I always look forward to going to physical therapy. This is the best place to go if you need physical therapy. I’m going to miss everyone when I’m finished but I’ll stop by and see everyone.

Wow! These guys really know what they're doing! Alanna works master control, keeping everybody organized and on task. Collin has a professional demeanor, and provides great customer service. Andrew is so friendly and personable that you'd think he's your next door neighbor. Highly recommend!

I’ve been letting my chiropractor break me up in quick little 10 minute sessions. This place has had me feeling better in just 2 visits than I have in several months of the chiropractor. I’m thankful my doctor referred me here. I’m still a work in progress but I can tell I’m on the right path. I feel like I play a part with the “homework” of exercises/ stretches they give me to do that are simple enough to do anywhere and while sitting. The cupping therapy was wonderful as well as the moist heat with the TENS unit thingy. It’s like a spa treatment after my session is done! Great people that know their stuff!

Had a great experience here! Everyone takes the time to get to know their patients and really cares about their progress and well-being. Going to PT was one of the highlights of my week. Alanna, Andrew, and Megan were all amazing and really helped me progress with my back pain. Highly recommend to anyone in the Columbia area!

I arrived with an arm I could no longer use. Slowly, but surely, Andrew, Alanna, and team guided me through the healing process.

The facility was always clean, hygiene was clearly a top concern, and the staff was very friendly. I'm grateful to them for their help.

I hurt my back and was having issues with my hips and they were all amazing with adjusting exercises and catering to my needs. I mostly worked with Alanna and she was funny, sweet, extremely helpful, and was great about working around my schedule and vacations. Overall I had a great experience and the environment was great!

Alanna & Andrew are incredible people who really put heart into their work. The interns are also really great and it’s sad to see them leave! Definitely recommend this place :)

This PT place is by far one my favorite I’ve ever been to. Alanna is the friendliest person who absolutely knows everything about healing injuries. She is extremely caring and deserves some praise. I’m glad I chose this place randomly as it exceeded all my expectations and will recommend to all my friends and family. Andrew is running a great operation and hope people come to check out the spectacular service.

Alanna and Andrew are great. Complete professionals that make you feel comfortable when you walk in the door. This was my second visit in 3 years and got great service both times. Would recommend to anyone. You guys are awesome. Thanks for your help getting back to playing tennis.
