Kevin was wonderful, and the food was perfect soul, soothing, just what I needed. The food came out quick and fast - if your on a diet skip this place. Come back when you need a meal your momma our your friends grandma used to cook- this is the spot. The atmosphere could use some updating but the food is so could who cares.

The manager was very friendly and taught a Kansas boy all about Southern food. He let me try collard greens for the first time. While I sat at the counter and ate my dinner, he kept me company. I can't brag this location up any more than I am. Thank you .

When visiting my parents, this has been my "go-to" soul food restaurant for over 25 years. The customer service is great, the food is good...always prepared well and seasoned right. There have been times when my food wasn't the best or my order was missing something. However, they always make things right. You're haven't been in business for over 45 years with 13 locations if you're not doing something right.

Awesome place YOU HAVE TO TRY! We stopped in just passing through and we were so glad we did. The food was home cooked (you could tell) and the wait staff and workers were kind and friendly. Definitely try this place if you are looking for some good homemade southern style food. Special thanks to Aniyah who waited on us. Thank you Aniyah!

Let's start with Kevin our server. Great guy who gave us great advice. The two teenagers had the hamburger steak. My wife had the fried chicken. I had the pulled pork. Everyone enjoyed their meats. The sides were also fabulous and talk about a huge selection. The boys also finished thier meal.with a piece of pecan pie.

I have never eaten at this restaurant chain before. I am so glad that we tried it.
You seat yourself, the main part of the menu is up on a board on the wall but there is another menu on your table.
Our waitress whose name was Ainya, was amazing and I want the management to know that.
She really made our night.
She was so friendly and so kind and quick and sweet.
Food was great.
We tried BBQ pork, hamburger steak, black-eyed peas, lima beans, coleslaw, french fries, mashed potatoes, and squash casserole.
Everything was excellent, the portions were great, the prices were great, we were extremely happy.
Sorry, did not leave any room for dessert.

The service always good and friendly, food sometimes not cooked per ordered. Creates extra wait time to correct. (Sometimes nee cashier issues) But most time it's great!

An amazing downhome diner with real southern home cooking. I had a country fried steak, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and some apple sauce. I enjoyed every single dish brought to me, and the wait staff were so pleasant. I had dinner, a drink, and dessert and barely broke $20. It's not a place of perfection, feels a little messy, but nothing could drag down my dinner.

I wanted southern home cooking and I got it! Fried flounder, black eyed peas (seasoned perfectly) , cabbage (cooked perfectly) and pickled beets. Everything was so good! My glass of sweet tea was never empty. They were close to closing when we got there and we were treated as if we were the first customers of the day.

My cousin and I were out shopping and we stopped for lunch. I had chicken fried steak, creamed corn, mashed potatoes with gravy, squash casserole, cornbread and tea. I enjoyed everything that I had and wished I had more.

The food at lizard thicket is delicious and very reasonably priced they definitely put enough on the plate and they have the food ready in a reasonable time . I got catfish macaroni and cheese and gravy and rice my husband got Fried Chicken (dark)okra and macaroni and cheese with a slice of apple pie. You may have to add a little salt or seasoning but that's understandable since some have have BP issues and need to season liberally

In much the same way that Madonna’s unnamed lover made her feel like a virgin, my first bite of the large serving of mashed potatoes and brown gravy made me question whether or not I had ever tasted real food before. What this place lacks in atmosphere, decor, and food presentation is easily made up for in taste and service. Don’t let the drab late 20th century decor deter you. Walk in, sit down, and just enjoy any combination of meats and sides that are sure to leave a lasting impression on your taste buds.

We went for lunch. We had 8 people, and our server was amazing! She was prompt, polite, and the food correct and delicious. We'll be back the next time we're in the area.

I was very happy to be able to introduce my visiting Australian friends to this version of Southern cuisine. They much enjoyed the meal as well as the friendliness of the waitress and the atmosphere of the restaurant.

The BEST SOUTHERN SOUL FOOD you'll find anywhere. My wife and I only found this place because it was close to our hotel accommodations. I wish we were staying longer so we could take advantage of their extensive menu and amazing prices. Portions are excellent and the service can't be beat - special thanks to Servers LISA & OLIVYAH!!! Make sure too leave room for dessert. LOVE THIS PLACE!

Great home style southern food. Hardest part is choosing your favorite sides! We stop anytime we're near and have always had great service and food. They aren't fancy, but the food is always good and the price is reasonable!

Since Covid quality can be hit or miss at some locations, but David and the crew here, always make you feel welcome and my orders have consistently been flavorful and hot.

We had our grandchildren and wanted a place to eat. This is a place we have eaten many times. It's always good and the service was excellent
