I quit taking the hormones and some other medicines. The difference is like night and day. Im even sleeping better. The yam cream for menopause, nettle tea and flax seed is amazing.

This place is wonderful. There is a gift there for EVERYONE in your life. They are very knowledgeable about plants and they sell items from local artists and businesses. Including Bear Food (look it up-they are an amazing business and the brittle is to die for!).
They also have a nursery a short distance away with very reasonably priced perennials, annuals, garden plants and house plants. The staff of both facilities are so kind, knowledgeable and helpful. I can’t say enough about this place, you MUST see it for yourself.

Went in with what I would consider sever stomach/digestion problems. I couldn’t eat anything without feeling very ill. Ill as in i would eat a little something, and within 20 minutes be hunched over in so much pain. I went in, was open and honest about my past and what my symptoms were. Super kind and welcoming. Very knowledgeable and oh so helpful. Today was the first day in four weeks I ate a filling meal for dinner. No agonizing pain in my stomach. I’m so thankful to have a place and such wonderful folks to turn to in our community. Thank you so much.

Great place to get fresh organic vegetables!!

The Cross family that owns and operates the store and deli are sweet and truly caring people. They are always willing to help you find what you need, even if you're not sure what it is! The deli offers a great variety of vegan food that even carnivores would find delicious and filling. All of the food, smoothies and juices are made with love and prayers. My personal favorites are the black bean wrap, the green goodness smoothie, cilantro corn salad and the "Orange" juice. However, I have never eaten anything there that wasn't good. Definitely check out both the shop and the deli!

I had the fake chicken salad sandwich and the carob mint shake. The food was great. It was a little busy and there was a bit of a wait, however I enjoyed browsing the store while I waited. They sell this Australian chocolate with a shark on the package that is amazing. I've never tasted vegan chocolate that tastes so much like milk chocolate before.

Absolutely delicious vegan food-the smoothies were phenomenal with their special-recipe in-house almond milk and we tried 4 different things from the deli over 2 separate visits and loved everything. Seriously can't speak highly enough of their food and they are SUCH NICE PEOPLE!! Highly recommended to hikers and travelers in the area alike vegan or not, this is amazing food.

What a gem! Health food store with a cafe. It is so hard to find organic, healthy, vegan food in this area. Everyone was so kind. The cafe was very reasonably priced and so fresh and delicious. They have veggie burgers, wraps, salads, smoothies, etc. Small but awesome selection of bulk foods, produce, and a variety of vegan meat, cheese, sauce, etc in the fridge. Please support this small family business!

Family owned and operated, this health food, vitiman and health counseling store is awesome! Walt, Walter and Mary Lou know everything you need to know to live a healthy life and they are eager to share that knowledge with everyone. You can find out what bloodwork you need tested and then they will analyze the results for you and give great advice for what to do to get well. Then you can go to the lunch counter and get an awesome vegan wrap, salad or some thing else to eat. Or a delicious, healthy smoothie. I LOVE this store!!!

I absolutely adore this place. I’ve shopped here for years and it’s consistently been a pleasant experience. Always a good selection of produce, dry stock, spices, herbs, oils and more, and so many vegan options! Each time I shop the staff are very warm and friendly. The deli is also phenomenal!! If you haven’t already been here, you’re missing out

This is a hidden gem for vegans in a fast food wasteland. It is literally the only place we can eat out in our small town. I have lived in and/or traveled to almost every state and eaten at many vegan eateries. The food is not only priced way below any vegan restaurant I have been to, but the quantity as well as the quality far surpasses similar establishments. Thank you to the amazing and considerate family that own and operate the store and deli. They are knowledgeable and conscientious. My one complaint is that they are not opened on the weekend.

We came to the smokys from San Diego a couple days ago to enjoy the luscious mountains and have been eating pretty sad considering we are vegan and couldn’t find good spots to eat. The bnb we were staying at suggested this place and boy was that a good meal. The portobello and black bean wraps tasted great and the best part is that they make everything from scratch. Their hospitality was amazing and they even checked in on us a couple times. We’d definitely have been regular customers if we lived around this area!

Customer service at its finest. Very compassionate & modestly honest people. They saved my health when I did not have health insurance back when the health care act liked a couple years before going into effect. Saved me hundreds in Dr bills & by the grace of God & this store I was able to dodge a painful procedure a few yrs back. God bless this store to keep them thriving & helping others as they've helped me. I wish they remained open a little later like a bank or walkin clinic would for the working class people. At least on Fridays or even on a Monday instead of Fridays. Just a suggestion :-) thank you! !

Mustard seed is so great to have in the area, it carries products I would not be able to find around here otherwise. Great vegan options, natural products, and the deli is delicious. You must try the unchkn salad, and their iced cappuccino!

I can’t brag enough on this place! I send people here all the time and love not just the people but their store. They have anything you’d want and the Back to the Garden deli has the healthiest and best tasting smoothies and juices! Its the only place like it in the county so you cant beat it! Do yourself a favor and go visit them!

How I wish the Mustard Seed was closer to my neck of the woods! We travel a few hours just to visit the store and to eat the absolutely delicious and completely healthy food at the deli. The owners, the Cross Family, are truly precious jewels and are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to helping others restore or maintain their health.

Phenomenal healthy food made with love. We were visiting some family here and looking for healthy and lighter fare than some of the other options in town. Everything is made with fresh ingredients. We are here nearly every day we were in town, I highly recommend it. Get the Haystack!!

This is a wonderful healthy store with extremely knowledgeable staff. It is a great place to shop for vegans and people wanting to avoid gluten. The deli is excellent as well.
