The Woodshed Restaurant

I loved this place so much that I returned for my brothers birthday. It's an almost 2 hour drive but worth every bit of the trip. I purposely didn't eat earlier and was starving. We all still took a doggy bag home. The food is so fantastic and large that I always get 2 meals... But I'm not sharing with my doggies. Sorry pups.

This cute place is hidden up a road a little ways from the main road, but worth finding. Decor is fun and felt like Appalachia. Staff were friendly. Food was pretty quick to come out. Food was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Would definitely recommend eating here if you’re in the area. We were staying at Roamstead and this was ~15 minutes drive.

Very good food and plenty of it. Great tasting food. We had cheese fries for an appetizer and they were really good. I got a hamburger steak with onions and peppers along with green beans. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Had an amazing Anniversary Dinner! Excellent food, service, and atmosphere! Our server was very friendly and took excellent care of us! I love this restaurant, and we are never disappointed when we eat here.😊 Best Steakhouse in Newport, TN!

Great food! The ribs were delicious and fall off the bone. The pulled pork was excellent. Nice smoke flavor, not smothered in sauce. Coleslaw and crispy onions were very tasty. Service is terrific. Our server was attentive and very nice.

Hands down the best Salmon I’ve ever had. Better than cheesecake factory and Outback Steakhouse. The staff was so friendly. Updated, rustic feel inside. It was absolutely a great experience! Must try while in this area!

So cheap and delicious! We came here for lunch and had a wonderful meal. Lots of bbq options, but they also have an extensive menu of burgers, sandwiches, and even more. The onion straws were absolutely amazing and I will be back to get the french dip again in no time. Service was very friendly as well!

Here in Tennessee, you find all these amazing gems to enjoy dinner. The hours are limited, but food is delicious. It was a small wait, well worth it. I enjoy the pulled pork plate. It was the best pulled pork I've tasted.

This cozy diner is tucked away in the foothills of the smoky mountains. The country atmosphere was warm and inviting. We were greeted with a friendly smile at the door and seated promptly by our hostess. Our waitress was quick and prepared, she recommend several dishes and our glasses never reached the halfway point. (As you all know this is a pet peeve of mine). The restrooms were clean and well stocked. My party of 5 ordered the signature Burger, the Woodshed. This massive, perfectly cooked, juicy burger was topped with pork BBQ and bacon, embellished with the usual veg's. It was accompanied by a well portioned side dish that was equally delicious. Our waitress was attentive yet did not hover. There were a few things that I did ask for that made this dinner perfect. I request: extra BBQ sauce because it was amazing, napkins and pickles to cleanse the pallet. Even the pickles were fabulous. We drove 2 hours, in the rain, to eat here. From the beautiful location, the warm atmosphere, the friendly staff and the amazing food it was well worth the trip. I give this place 5 stars... And you all know I never do that. Well done Woodshed restaurant. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic service with great food. The Woodshed burger is massive with great flavor profiles, bacon Mac and cheese was good (noodles weren't overcooked, not fond of mushy noodles so we were happy, lol) ribs were tender and full of flavor. Never been disappointed from a steak there, either.

The best place for steak,hamburgers, chicken, deserts and all you could ask for. Our waiter Diana was always on top of everything and the owners and other employees were very nice and welcoming like family. We will be back!! Food was awesome! Service was 100% and atmosphere was homey and really nice.

Awesome find! Looked up on Google maps driving through the area. You need a keen eye to find, off the road up behind another building. Totally worth it, best BBQ I've had in Tennessee. Sandwich I had was the woodshed. A mega sandwich with tons of flavor.

Got hungry while from Florida on a rainy day. Got takeout and the food was awesome. Will definitely be back! Our kind of place laid back, relaxing, and good folks. Can't say enough about the hospitality! The new coffee shop up front looks great!

First time visiting this restaurant and I will go back when I'm in town! The staff was friendly, place was nice, food was GREAT, very reasonably priced. Tucked away so you might not notice it. We got an appetizer not knowing how big the meals would be, it was really good but the meals have alot of food! We will be back and this place I highly recommend!

I rarely give all five stars but this place deserves it. tucked out of the way off of a state highway up a gravel road on the side of a hill in East Tennessee. already sounds great, right?

We get there a little after 12:30on a Saturday and there’s a 20 minute wait. after we’ve seen what’s on the plates and smelled what’s in the air, it was worth it.

my goodness gracious what good food and service. this time we stuck with the barbecue plate which was enough to share.

their vegetable medley is to die for… seasoned and grilled only once you order it.

got to go back for the steaks. For us it’s an hour drive but it’s well worth it.

This little spot is super cute and convenient. The whole staff is friendly and the hamburger is to die for. The owner came out and spoke with each guest, she even sat and talked with us for a while. This made the experience even more enjoyable.

Amazing food and southern hospitality at it's finest. Well worth the little detour off of I-40 into Cocke County, TN.

Loved this place. It was clean, staff were very nice & our drinks were never empty. You get big portions of food. They are only open Thurs, Fri, & Sat. We had a 20 minute wait, but it was so worth it. Don't get confused when driving by this place. You can't see it from the road at night & the sign is by an empty building just keep going up the hill & u will find the building.

Come on. This place is off the charts good. 6 stars good. Do not be scared by the gravel road. Just drive up it, park and get fed that level 10 grub. Check out this pics below to see samples of what will delight the taste buds and drift you gently into the bliss of your next food coma.

The decor is cool country and reflects the culture of the area. Loved it.

We had a wonderful visit at this restaurant on Friday last week! We were a walk in 9 top, and only had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. Shout out to our server Kailya (probably misspelled) because she was awesome! Honestly some of the best service I’ve ever gotten at a restaurant, and I’ve been in the industry for 5+ years. Our food was great. We got apps and entrees; pictured is the half rack rib special! A great experience all around! I’d highly recommend!
