Tejanos Mexican Grill (New)

1st time trying Tejanos , I'm very happy I came in. I ordered the Beef fajitas covered in cheese, it comes with a side of beans, rice, guac and pico. The fajitas came out in a very hot sizzling skillet,the smell was awesome. The flavor was very good almost kinda like a backyard flavor and smell. The side are very good. My meal was very good overall, look fwd to trying more items from the hr menu. This little restaurant is worth the drive to Cooper, Tx.

Great service and delicious food! Pictured are the chicken enchiladas with a sour cream sauce and fajita chicken salad. We also ordered queso and a margarita. Our waitress was so kind and was on top of refilling chips, salsa, drinks etc. We dined in during the Sunday church crowd and still had quick service. Will definitely be back next time we swing through town!

Food was great, I had the Enchiladas Vaqueras, very good plate. The chips, hot sauce and queso were also good.

The place was packed when we walked in. Service was really great. Was served within 15 minutes. Food was terrific. Will be back soon.

My friend, read all the great reviews, so we made plans to eat there today! We told them it was our first time to eat there! They were very friendly and welcomed us! The waiter and waitress brought our chips and salsa right away, and we still had 20 minutes till the lunch special was over! We both ordered our food from the lunch menu! I had unsweet tea, and she ordered a margarita! The food was delicious, and served to us just the right temperature! They have excellent customer service, and we will eat there again!

Sour cream chicken enchiladas are the BEST you will ever have. Came at a busy Saturday afternoon- 2ish, service was amazing.

Great food. Consistent flavor. Imaginative menu. Ask for the Delta, it’s not on the menu but it should be a highlighted item. Erick and his crew do a phenomenal job taking care of customers while offering a wide variety of menu options that don’t always follow a traditional flavor profile. Oh yeah, the homemade chips are the best.

The City of Cooper should be ashamed for working on water every week forcing this great restaurant to close. It was a packed house when we got there at 1230. Waited 10 min. for a table for 6. Finished our great meal and they had to turn people away. You can't run a restaurant with no water. Get it fixed Cooper Water Department

This small town Tex-Mex was a gem. The chips were crisp with a fresh salsa that did not taste canned. I had the Avocado Salad. Don't let the name fool you. It was grilled avocados topped with jack cheese and a heaping of beef fajita meat ( can come with chicken or shrimp). A great combo with perfectly cooked rice and a salad. Within driving distance of Cooper Lake State Park in downtown Cooper, TX.

We go to Tejanos every time we are in town. I like the chicken enchiladas and chalupas. Everything is really good. The salsa is home made and it is outstanding! Excellent Service!

They have the best food very good prices and the staff is very friendly very clean and organized place I would go again and again

I have visited twice now, coming from Dallas to Cooper to eat this amazing food. They have outstanding Tex Mex with quality ingredients that really make a difference in the taste of the food. You can tell the love and care that goes into the preparation of these dishes, as each time it comes out absolutely perfect. The carne asada was absolutely amazing. The staff is awesome, and I truly love coming here!

Food was unexpectedly wonderful. We found ourselves in Cooper quite by accident and Tejanos will certainly bring us back. The fried and stuffed avocados had my wife making sounds I haven't heard from her in awhile. I had an enchilada sampler. The amount of food was crazy how much they give you for the money. Great meal.

It was my first time to visit TEJANO TEX MEX restaurant in Cooper, TX. We came by to eat for a special birthday lunch. The food is incredible. The guacamole is fresh and flavorful! I CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS WONDERFUL RESTAURANT! EVERYTIME I COME IN, ITS A WELCOMING ATMOSPHERE. ALL SMILES, EVERYTIME. THE OWNER HIMSELF, IS ALWAYS WAITING TABLES, ANSWERING PHONES AND RUNNING FOOD, PAYING ATTENTION TOO EVERY DETAIL. THE WAITRESSES GET OUR, (RANDOM AND COMPLICATED) BIG ORDERS RIGHT, EVERYTIME!. THE COOKS.. LORD, THE FOOD IS WONDERFUL, CONSISTENT, TIMELY AND PRESENTABLE. 10/10.
P.S IF YOU LIKE MARGARITAS, ASK FOR A PATRON MARGARITA. ITS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND THEY KNOW HOW TO FIX IT, RIGHT! 🫶 I ALWAYS GET THE BEEF FAJITA CHIMICHANGA AND SUB THE RICE AND BEANS FOR SAUTÉED MUSHROOMS. ITS EXCEPTIONAL AS WELL.

We stopped here for a quick bite to eat and left feeling like locals. Everything was excellent. Definitely will be back.
