Great Little Minds Academy

We moved back to Houston in the fall of 2021 and were so lucky that Great Little Minds Academy had an opening for our 3 year old. She joined the preschool class not knowing any Spanish, and a year and a half later she speaks and sings in Spanish. After the initial fear of being in a new school, my daughter now RUNS inside (sometimes forgetting to say bye) because she loves her school, friends, and teachers so much! As parents we appreciate the small class sizes and the fact that the overall enrollment is small as well. We know all of the teachers and they all know our daughter by name. Communication is amazing and Ms. Karen is always available via email or a phone call. We will be so sad when our daughter starts kinder this fall and we age out. I highly recommend GLMA, all of the staff, and the diverse and fun care and education that we have experienced.

We are so happy our daughter is enrolled at Great Little Minds Academy. Our original daycare canceled on us a month before our daughter was supposed to start. Good friends recommended GLMA and we couldn’t have been luckier that they had a spot open. The teachers love our daughter like she is their own. She leaps out of our arms to her teachers every morning and leaves with smile (and artwork) every night. Karen, the director, is very communicative and makes the school so cheerful and happy. We couldn’t recommend GLMA more.

Great Little Minds Academy is a wonderful bilingual daycare! I have two sons that attend, both boys started at 3 months when I went back to work. Karen & her lovely teachers have a passion for teaching and it shows. My boys want to go to school, and my three year old knows more Spanish than I do! I am very blessed to know my boys are taken care of and loved everyday! I highly recommend GLMA!!

We absolutely love GLMA. We now have 3 kids attending here, all since infants. The staff is loving, kind, and treat my kids incredibly well. GLMA has a family feel with staff staying there for the long term. It is so nice to really be able to trust a place to care for my children. We highly recommend GLMA!

Our son has attended GLMA for almost 3 years now and we could not be happier. He runs into school each day. The teachers are so loving and caring, and make sure every kid feels special. They have taught him Spanish, how to count and his letters. I feel so lucky to have found Ms. Karen and GLMA.

GLMA is a great school! My children had benefited tremendously from the dual language program, which is very important for my family. The location is very convenient because it is on our way to work (around downtown). The staff is very loving and caring. We love this place!

Great Little Minds Academy is like home away from home for my daughter. She began her journey at GLMA when she was just 15 months old. I originally had enrolled her at a different daycare, but after seeing it a few times I decided she just could not go there. I fell in love with this school very quickly because they do so many great activities that reminded me of what I did with my daughter while I stayed home with her. I was so excited when she moved off of the waitlist before I had to go back to work! She is now 4 years old and moving on to a “big school.” It was so hard to chose her next school, because I had such high expectations from GLMA. GLMA has been so wonderful for our daughter during these past 3.5 years. They’ve taught her countless life skills like sharing and being kind to others and academic skills like letter recognition, how to spell her name and so much much more! We are sad that our time has come to an end because GLMA is seriously like a second home for her. The teachers and director truly care about the kids and it shows! Many of the same teachers are still there that were there when my daughter started at GLMA 3.5 years ago. I highly recommend this school!

This is such a great school. We love it here. I feel like I drop my kids off with family every morning. My oldest went here since she was 2 years old and my youngest since he was 6 months old. The kids love coming here and have a great time. The director communicates really well with parents. The fact that it’s a dual language school is a HUGE plus!

My son has been going to GLMA since he was 7 months old. Our whole family loves GLMA. They truly care for my son and it shows. He has learned so much over the years. He is moving on to pre-k this year. We are sad to be leaving but excited for this next step in his learning journey. We are expecting a little girl in December, we can’t wait to send her to GLMA as well!

We love this place! Both of our kids (now 4yrs old and 18mos old) have gone here since they were infants, and the attention, education, and love they get here is unmatched. We don't speak Spanish at home, but our 4yr old is fluent due to their immersion - huge plus! Also, the administration is very reasonable and does not close the school on a frequent, unplanned basis. Highly recommend

We really love GLMA! We've taken our daughter for the past 2 years now and she's really enjoyed it! The teachers and staff are always really friendly and very caring. Karen, the Director and Owner of GLMA, really puts her best efforts in making this place a wonderful environment for the kids. You can tell she loves the kiddos and is very attentive. During this COVID-19 pandemic, they've remained opened for essential employees' kids and have taken extra precautions to sanitize the daycare and to keep the kids and the staff as safe as possible. They've also put up a few activities, worksheets, story-time videos on their FB page to help keep the kids at home engaged if they haven't been able to attend. Overall, this place has been quite a blessing for us!

We love Great Little Minds! The teachers and administrators have loved and supported our little guy as he has transitioned into potty training and preparing for school. We love the bilingual benefits! If you are looking for a caring and educational environment - you've found it!
