Crisp

Visited for Houston Restaurant Week dinner and it did not disappoint. The appetizers were both good, and it was crazy that I liked the corn over pork belly because for most dishes, it’s the opposite. Both main courses were very homestyle, warm food, full of flavor. However, they were just a bit too salty for me. The Oh My Gato cocktail was amazing! Was happy to hear it wasn’t a HRW special, but something that is on their regular menu. All food aside, I gotta really compliment our server, Mike! He was super attentive, very friendly, giving recommendations, asking for opinions, and was very knowledgable.

Food was excellent. Atmosphere inside is great. Nice patio, but unfortunately on all three of my visits the patio was packed with squealing and running kids. It's a bar, people. I know you selfishly decided to say screw getting the kids a house with a yard in the suburbs, you need to be in the heights in one of those three story boxes. But that shouldn't mean you can ruin everyone else's dining experience by making any local place with a patio into a zoo. A$$holes.

The ambiance here was so relaxed and inviting, the music wasn’t too loud. My husband and I were looking to try something different while in town, and the menu items drew me in, so we had to come! The goat cheese marinara appetizer was right up our alley and it comes with 4 pieces of wine soaked bread, but you can get a side of 4 more pieces for $4 👀 we also shared the calamari (which was excellent!) and the burger (I put some of the extra marinara sauce and goat cheese on my burger, and in my opinion made the burger 😅🤤) we will definitely be coming back to try other menu items!

I came here after going to The Barking Pig and them not being opened at 4 pm, despite their hours online being listed at opening at 4 pm. I am glad we didn't get stuck at the Barking Pig as Crisp was amazing!
Our server was awesome! She was attentive and made great suggestions. The service was perfect!
The food was good. We had the HRW menu. I had the pork belly, gnocchi, and tiramisu. Everything was perfect! I can't wait to return!

Family friendly pub with excellent array of shareables and mains. Good assortment of beers on tap and affordable wine selections with some pricier wines if you buy wine only on price. Bartenders are eager to make special requests and love it when you bring them the recipe for something unusual. When it’s busy service can be slowed but they warn you. It’s best to simply be prepared when the server attends to your table. Crisp is “well hidden” in a neighborhood just inside the 610 loop to the far northwest of the Heights. Worth the short trek as it is not situated in a dining and entertainment district. Typical of Houston’s aversion to zoning but in this case lucky for diners in the area.

This spot was recommended by a coworker and it did not disappoint! Ordered off the lunch menu and the portions were massive and everything on the dish was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend trying the Chicken D'Angelo! Looking forward to coming in to try a Friday Flight soon.

Pizza and garlic bread were amazing, the truffle fries were not as good as they could've been but the service was absolutely top notch. Very friendly and quick staff. Also great drinks. Definitely coming back.

They have live musicians come in as well and you can reserve for large parties, just call at least a day in advance. If you need to take the fam out, take them here and you will be a hero ✨

Food was amazing, quick, taste was great. Amazing place I highly suggest this to anyone who loves a good pizza that's not to heavy.

We tried this place for the first time and loved it. The food was delicious & drinks were tasty. We ended up sitting at the bar as we didn't have reservations (I'd recommend it on a Saturday evening for sure), but still, overall, great atmosphere and service! We will definitely be adding this to the list of our go-to places.

Amazing wine selections and delicious pizzas! One of my all time favorite pizzas is served here. The truffle shuffle has prosciutto, arugula, parmesan, and truffle oil. It's so good and definitely a must try. The goat cheese with marinara is worth ordering as well! Service was splendid and very patient with us when we weren't sure what to order.

They come up with new menu items often. Everything I've tried has been amazing! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Came here for Houston Restaurant Week and enjoyed the menu items and flavors that it held! There were plenty of people sharing experiences while we were there. Good amount of seating for groups as well.

The food was delicious!! 😍 Definitely will be returning. Went to a baby shower there and they were able to fit 20 comfortably. Great service as well.

We came back again cus I was craving the pizza. Good thing we did they have happy hour and daily specials that we didn't notice the first time 😆

Came to Crisp to celebrate 2 of my friends birthday. And I have to say the pizzas we got were mighty tasty! We had Moscato called Caposaldo which was soooo good!!! We sat outside in the patio which is super cute! The only problem we had was the waiter. He was not really attentive to us... whomp whomp whomp. But other than that I definitely recommend y'all to go try this place out!! I can wait to take my fiancé to try it out

Came here for a little Friday date night the other day and loved it. Be aware that this is a very popular place - we showed up around 7:30, had trouble finding parking, and were told it would be about a 20 minute wait for 2 people. We ended up sitting at the bar with no wait and it all worked out, but if you don’t want to risk waiting, consider making a reservation. Anyway, we had great service at the bar! Our waiter was very friendly and quick despite it being a busy night. There was a great selection of wines by the glass and bottle. We had arancini to start which were delicious and served with an interesting pepper jam. We then split the truffle shuffle pizza which was great. Overall I really enjoyed the night - friendly service, good food, nice atmosphere (live music too!) and would love to come back. My word of advice is just make a reservation if you can and don’t be surprised if you have to park down the street a little ways!

Cute spot within a residential neighborhood. Very quick turnaround for take out. The saffron arancini were incredible. Pizza and meatball subs were also excellent!
