Quiet and quaint, a shop that offers tea, coffee and alcohol. There are a few food offerings that include pastries. Lots of people on computers but it is okay to talk out loud 😂 Outdoor dog friendly patio.

Bought a tart and latte, and both were great! I waited a bit for the rustic apple tart to get warmed but they explained drinks & food came out seperately and there were a couple orders in front of me so it was no problem at all (i didnt mind waiting)! It was super busy but the employees were super chill, very attentive, and gave me a great pastry recommendation! Totally recommend to anyone who wants a cosy space and a porch to chill out on. They even have outlets on the porch outside! Love it, will come again :)

Coffe was good. And so we're the kolaches. It did take a while to get my food despite it being quite empty. Everyone was friendly. Plenty of seating both indoor and outdoors. Dog friendly outside. Inside is well decorated, clean and modern. Will definitely come back

Lovely patio. The Cubano coffee is really good, service is great and a great place to just sit and relax for a long time. You could even work there if you wanted because it is peaceful.

Experience: 5/5 Coffee Quality: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5

Cute quaint coffee shop! Friendly staff, ample sitting inside & out, variety of food options, & nice cool temperature inside (didn’t need a jacket which is surprising for summer when every other business has freezing temps inside). More parking spaces behind the building. Cute neighborhood coffee shop.

Walked in for a late evening cortado. Got a nice cup of espresso to go. This is a great spot for visiting with friends, studying, or taking in some music.

I would like to come back to try a lemonade, pastry, or other menu items.

The staff was friendly and helpful. A great spot for coffee in Houston.

EQ coffee is a pleasant neighborhood coffee shop to sit at and do some work. There is seating inside and a large patio. Noise level is minimal and there are plenty of chairs and sofas.

The folks here are super kind, they gave us a bag of ice (Bad mosquito allergy- swelling- it was a mess, different story).

The drinks were good, I had the matcha latte. The matcha used is ceremonial so specify if sweetener is needed otherwise it might not be the typical matcha latte.

Just came in to use their printer since it was the only one that opened at 7 am. Super easy to print for a first timer, took less than 5 minutes. While sitting, I saw their delicious pastries and breakfast items. If I had more time I would love to hang out since it was a chill environment and try their food, I'm just grateful for their printer! And no judgment looks while I'm frantically trying to print as soon as they opened XD

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Houston. It’s very cozy, like you’re in someone’s living room. It’s also pretty quiet, even when it’s busy, and I love that they don’t crank the AC like most places. The patio is very cozy and comfortable, and they are dog-friendly. They even have a jar or dog treats. Yummy coffee and many glutenfree AND vegan options on the menu! They have Little Northern Bakehouse bread which is vegan and glutenfree. Their chai is also the best in town!

Great local coffee shop with a nice porch! This place makes you feel like you are having coffee at one of the local houses around the area. They have a great selection of drinks and food! Perfect place to just sit out on the porch and read a book or gather with friends and have a nice conversation. Eat local!

Fantastic coffee shop located in the Heights near the intersection of Heights Boulevard and East 11th Street, right across from the Houston Heights World War II Memorial. The space is an old house, which they've done a great job of converting into a social area and workspace. There's ample seating both indoors and out with lots of natural light inside that filters through a multitude of windows on all sides, providing for a soothing, chill environment. Additionally, they have outlets located throughout the house that makes it very convenient to plug in laptops and other electronics. Outside is a wide porch which wraps around the side, allowing for lots of people to work and chat alfresco when the weather permits.

The menu includes your standard coffee options all sourced from local roasters like Java Pura, specialty teas, smoothies, several wines and beers (only in cans) and a limited food selection of pastries, pizza, soups, salads, and sandwiches. For this visit, I ordered a regular drip coffee and kolache with cheddar cheese and andouille (Cajun smoked pork sausage with garlic, pepper, and other seasonings). The drip coffee was great, though the kolache was not as flavorful as I had hoped. Given I ordered it in the afternoon, though, the lack of freshness and corresponding effect on flavor was to be expected.

There is limited parking in front, but a back parking lot provides additional spaces. If things were truly busy, I could see parking being somewhat of an issue, but with the overall seating being about half full, I had no problem snagging a spot in the back.

All in all, EQ is exactly what you look for in a coffee shop - chill environment, lots of seating, decent beverage and food menu, and good for all kinds of activities like working, studying, or socializing. It is my favorite coffee shop that I've visited in the Heights neighborhood thus far.

Really cool spot. The coffee is delicious. They also serve some food, teas, and beer. The inside is cute and has a lot of seating/tables. They have board games. The patio area was great and offered tables and lounge areas. They are also dog friendly.

EQ is one of the best coffeehouses of Houston's inner loop. The ambiance is quite warm and inviting, with indoor and outdoor seating options. The food and beverage selection is extensive, so you're likely to find something you enjoy. Everything I have had so far from the coffee, lattes, to the sandwiches is easily a 10/10. The personnel here is fantastic! They are kind, welcoming, and helpful. **Honorable mentions: Alaina and Sean assisted me on my visit(s), providing exceptional assistance; going above and beyond (exceeding expectations). Their help made my day. I am looking forward to my future visits.

I'm a local and this is a place where the young successful and hard working business owners and families come from all around the heights area. With a slightly higher price that your typical Starbucks you'll find the drinks and snacks here to have a strong and unique taste with enough variety that's sure to satisfy any tastebuds.
Parking is difficult. Wait in the lot for a few minutes until someone leaves.

We needed some caffeine and we were in the area so we dropped in and scored a five star frozen blended drink for my wife, I tasted it and concurred, my hot cappucino was just as good. Lots of cool art work on the walls, this coffee spot has a nice vibe. The barista was talented and friendly, we'll be back.

Went early on a Sunday morning and ordered a cappuccino (delicious) and the almond croissant! All of their croissants are baked fresh every morning, so definitely treat yourself to one. :) They also have a pet friendly outdoor patio.

The atmosphere here, the people are so sweet, the views and it is so quiet and calming. Most delicious coffee and matcha we’ve had. We appreciated seeing so many plant based options for milk for our coffee/matcha and the eco friendly straws are such a great touch! Thank you for creating a beautiful place for my husband and I to enjoy on vacation ❤
