Pop's Honey Fried Chicken

My favorite stop on my twice a year camping trip to Tyler State Park. Staff is always friendly & kind, food is fresh, hot & always delicious! Restaurant is clean & well kept, you can tell this is where the locals in Lindale grab lunch. We dine in or take it to go, but the drive through is a great perk! My dog even gets excited when we pull into the parking lot because he knows he's going to get delicious chicken scraps! We always order enough to have leftovers for our 5 hour drive back home. It's the only time I'll eat fried chicken, it's worth the trip!

Amazing service, was very helpful in helping me chose the correct meal for my needs.the restaurant area was very clean, and had a great vibe to it. The price is very reasonable, and the the food was awesome.

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into Pops chicken with my starving kids, as we were trying to find a bite to eat waiting for our ride. I told the gal behind the counter it was my first time and I was curious if it was a buffet or if they had plates to order. She explained to me all the food options we had and was so nice. We ordered a kids buffet plate and a burger plate. We also tried some banana pudding. The Buffett is exceptionally clean and the tables were as well. The food was good! Mostly southern fried options with a few steamed veggies, desserts, tacos, and burgers. The burger I had was delicious and cooked to order with hot, fresh, crunchy fries. Self serve soda fountain and a roll of paper towels at the table. As we ate our meal they were cleaning the tables and floors as people left. It was a very nice spot and we will be back! :)

Love that catfish! We spend half of what we would spend for fast food and get more food and it's really good. I usually skip Cole slaw but I like theirs. 2 rolls and somebody over there knows how to fry okra...and the catfish are not the slimy mud cat type either, I'm picky about texture and doneness. I have had the same meal a dozen times and never disappointed.

For Down-home cooking this is the place! Cafeteria style with Fried Catfish, Roast Beef with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Stuffed Bell Peppers. Choice of Sides including Collard Greens! Save room for dessert!

The dining room is always immaculate. The servers are courteous even while we are having trouble making a decision as ro what we're having to eat!

First time dining in. Had to tryout the fish combo for Seniors. Three large pieces of tender coated with what seemed like cornmeal. Fish had a great taste to it plus the buffet like choice selection with your meals was a lot. I selected the mashed potatoes with white gravy and corn. The corn bread had an old fashion taste to them. I also had the unsweetened iced tea

It is said that a small Town's lifeblood is in their family owned businesses! Pops honey Fried Chicken is a great food find! You can get fried chicken or you can get tacos or you can get home cooking items like meatloaf. They boast a plethora of Southern favorite sides, including turnip greens cabbage mac and cheese green beans Pinto beans mashed potatoes gravy, etcetera. The place is immaculately clean and the folks there are very friendly, I recommend it for sure

Go to home cooking food. I usually get either the fried chicken for the red beans in corn bread.
They got a good variety.

Been passing this place up for years and always wondered how good they were. THEY WERE FREAKING AWESOME!! Food was next level, right behind my mamma’s fried chicken and sides were great. Don’t skip out on the peach cobbler-you’re be sorry if you do. Wish I had stopped by sooner.

Good food from their steam table. Not fast food fare it has meat vegetables rolls etc. They also do a great bit.

Super friendly service and great home style food. We got the 2 fish and 2 chicken with 2 side. The price was reasonable as well.

Very friendly. Large menu to choose from and they have a senior meal for $8.50 you choose your own food combo. Has a drive up window or carry out and dine in wheel chair ♿ accessable.

They have the best food, it's hot and fresh and wonderful. Wish they had one closer to where I live though.

This place had me in the parking lot gnawing on chicken bones like a little animal. Literally the best fried chicken I’ve ever had and everyone was super nice. I’ll be back soon.

I've been to the drive-through once before but never walked in until today . Absolutely the sweetest staff ❤ I was so surprised on how many options they had and everything was amazing .
