Laura's Cheesecake & Café

Laura’s Cheesecake is a wonderful place to stop and eat. The food is outstanding! The staff and owner, Suzanne, went out of their way to welcome us. Customers also talk and are so friendly. This trendy, delightful restaurant is a must stop and you must experience the the food and the friendly atmosphere! I highly recommend you going to Mount Pleasant to eat here. We will be back!!! Thank you Suzanne for making us feel special!

On one of our Saturday travels, we decided to take a jeep ride to Mt. Pleasant. We were looking for a place to eat, and Laura's Cheesecake was one of our options. The first place we went had great reviews, but they didn't have dine in. We decided that wasn't the place for us as we were from out of town and wanted a place to sit and rest.

We went to Laura's Cheesecake and ordered a brisket and pimento cheese sandwich. Instead of each one getting something different, we all opted for the same sandwich. We did, however, get different cheesecakes.

Located in an old building, Laura's is great for large and small groups.

When out of town, you usually can't go wrong with the local own cafes. Laura's is no exception. We ordered breakfast, and it was great. Everything was as good as I could ask for. If I'm back in town I'll be sure to stop in.

The breakfast was an absolute joy to the taste buds. The atmosphere was so welcoming. And everything is so clean and neat. The complimentary small biscuits was very much appreciated.
I’ve been to other breakfast places in bigger fancy cities and this is on par. Except they charge small town fees :-)

Absolutely adorable aesthetic with AMAZING cheesecake!!

We had the lemon blueberry & I truly believe I could’ve eaten an entire pie by myself!! It was light and airy but rich with just the perfect amount of sweetness. You’ll get it if you try it!

Such a cute place! We had breakfast and it was wonderful. We also bought some yummy cookies!

Their atmosphere and service is great, it feels like home when you walk in. The food is delicious! The dishes I have tried are full of flavor and taste fresh.

I travel often for work, and love to get avocado toast wherever I go. This avocado toast is the best. Laura’s also has a great atmosphere and friendly service. I highly recommend! (The cheesecake is wonderful, too!). I will definitely be back.

The service is so amazing and Laura’s is usually packed, but we still get our food quickly. We come here a lot and every time we come, people are so gracious and nice. Not only is the customer service amazing, The food is extraordinary also!

Charming location. Staff was working and friendly. And the cheesecake is delicious, which is why we came to check this place out!

I drove over an hr just to try their breakfast sampler. Omg this pic doesn't do it justice. It was so worth the drive. Pancakes are perfect. Staff was very friendly. The manager even stopped by and spoke to us. I definitely recommend everyone to stop by at least once. Trust me u won't regret it. I'll be coming back real soon

We had breakfast, but also got some sweet treats for later. The pancakes are perfect with homemade syrup. I love that everything was served on a skillet to keep it all hot. Wonderful family atmosphere with kind and helpful employees.

My wife loves this local treasure, a trendy lunch/desert style restaurant that makes their own cookies/cheesecake/meals all avalible for dine in or to go. Staff is always upbeat and atmosphere is fun. I have enjoyed several sandwiches here and the cookies are A+. They sell T-shirts so its also a good tourist stop. (The locals wear them all the time.)

Delicious, fresh food! We had the stuffed avocado and broccoli cheese soup, and of course a slice of blueberry lemon cheesecake. We’ll be back!

I finally got around to trying out Laura's Cheesecake today and it absolutely blew me away! I ordered a chicken fajita wrap with a sweet tea - the tea was a tad overly sweet, but the wrap made up for it. The tortilla was pretty good, the ingredients were excellent tasting and very fresh, the accompanying salsa verde held the exact right amount of spice, and the tortilla chips were fresh, crispy, and not too salty. A great lunch that didn't sit too heavy and was very dynamic in flavor. I then ordered a slice of key lime cheesecake and you could tell that the whipped cream was made in house - it was that good. The cheesecake itself was very good and I, for one, will be sad to see it go at the end of the season.

The service was awesome and everyone we came in contact with was very pleasant. Can’t wait to come back and try more meals. The lasagna was very good.

We just happened upon downtown and Laura’s. Our lunch was fabulous and the cheesecake was wonderful.
It was a nice surprise on our trip.

The country breakfast was “clean your plate” good!

Absolutely amazing people. We came in late for breakfast due to my own fault. But they still allowed us to order Breakfast even though it was past time. We are truly grateful for the hospitality shown and serving us. Totally know they didn’t have to do that but they did. The food was excellent. We ordered the 3 tacos which I loved, kids ordered pancakes and fruit bowl also perfect. Thank you all so much for a great breakfast and we will be back for brunch.
