Fish & Knife Japanese Cuisine

I’ve been here several times and I’m never disappointed. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. Also, the restrooms are always clean! They serve drinks that I’m told are great as well, but I don’t drink.

Dinner was delicious and service was amazing. Had the Fish & Knife combo w/Fried rice and it was delicious. Highly recommend this spot if you are in the area. Also, try out their Sake they’re pretty damn good.

This is one of my favorite local Japanese places in Roanoke. Their prices are more than reasonable, which is a big deal for me, and their food is delicious! Everything tastes authentic and fresh, and they always provide excellent service. Everything we have had here tastes wonderful. Thank you for such a great spot. We love Fish and Knife.

Been here many times times since moving to the area. Staff is always pleasant and attentive. Food is phenomenal! Flavor never let's me down. Their mustard dipping sauce is flipping awesome. I come here a couple times a week. Can't have certain foods but they offer a lot of variety, it isn't easy to pick just one or two. I usually end up with 3-4 rolls each time. Pictures are of Mochi, Tempera banana, cowboy roll, fish cake, dancing dragon and fire cracker.

The food was really good and the service was very prompt! We got lunch takeout and the food was ready before we even got there, they were able to hand it to us practically right as we walked in the door! Great staff, and I recommend the yaki udon!

Great service, a cool environment and some of the best sushi we've had in this area since we moved here.

The miso soup was incredibly good on top of this... and I know miso soup is typically overlooked in the mix of sushi.

Food is fantastic! The owner who is also the chef is a phenomenal business owner. We feel so at home and they really make sure that we're always taken care of. They always made us feel special. Thank you guys and more power to you!

First time visit. Thursday evening. People kept coming in. The one waitress was managing all the tables with a smile and stories. We ordered the sushi&sashimi for two. It comes with a house salad and a miso soup. As a dessert we had the mochi ice cream. The vanilla flavor was not our favourite but the green tea and strawberry was so tasty. Definitely will be coming back.

Food was great and the waitress was attentive without being overbearing. Also, we really enjoyed the relaxing music and art on the walls.

Stopped in for lunch today while waiting for some work at a shop nearby. Had the Goyza, some miso soup and a great specialty roll. Staff and food were spot on..

If there were six stars, I’d give them that. I’ve been coming here every Friday for the past 10yrs. The food is fresh and service, whether dining in or delivered, it always top notch. Sam and his team are welcoming and focused on providing the very best. I strongly recommend trying this place out if you like sushi and tell them John sent you. Thank you Sam and Suki, you have a life long customer!!

I love this little restaurant located in a strip mall. The menu is very nice and the hibachi entree is yummy. I love the scallops. I've been coming here over 10 years. That says something when a restaurant is still around for many years.

The place was ok, very quiet went during lunch on a Saturday. The house special fried rice with shrimp, beef and chicken and veggies very tasty. The fish cakes were good as well. First time trying these items here.

The sushi and jalapeño appetizer were so good, and the service was exceptional. The food came out really quick. We will definitely be going back when in the area again.

I love this place! This restaurant is always reasonably priced, which is why I never go try new sushi places out because of the outrageous cost. Fish and knife is a great place to splurge with out breaking the bank! They have an excellent bar, the fish always smells and tastes fresh. Staff is so kind they have become friends over the years! It’s a wonderful causal dining spot & serves well for a nice little sushi date.

I come here with friends about 2-3 times a week after school, and it has to be our favorite restaurant. The food is fantastic, it’s affordable, and the staff is attentive and friendly. I have never had any issue with food or cleanliness.

Amazing food! Very fast service and great quality! The entire staff is very friendly! So far after two years in Texas, the BEST and our newest favorite spot for sushi!
