Tried the cauliflower wings and Harissa Beets hummus which were both top-notch! Good value for the price too and our server, Christopher was very friendly and kind enough to explain any allergies and what exactly the dish was made. Can’t wait to come back again and try the mains!
My only advice would be to slightly improve the decor of the place. The seats are a bit uncomfortable and the lighting is a bit dull but that’s a personal preference anyway.

This is a cozy spot tucked away in west central Austin. Great vegan food, if you like vegan food. I thought the cauliflower wings were yummy but wasn’t personally a fan of the mushroom based burger. Interesting flavor profile for sure however. In addition to the food, the restaurant service and ambiance was nice!

Wow! I was so impressed with the lions mane steak and the loaded fries! Everything here is just so indulgent and delicious! Def check it out! They have wonderful gluten free vegan options.

If anyone says they think vegan food is boring, this place will prove them wrong. I've had great vegan food before, but this place has established a new standard. I ordered the wellington and my wife got the Tokyo blue. The blue potatoes for the wellington were exceptionally creamy. The pastry part of the wellington was flaky and buttery with an umami explosion for an interior. The mashed cauliflower puree for the Tokyo blue was equally as creamy as my potatoes. The method in which they utilized the oyster mushroom for the Tokyo blue was also bursting with umami and the right amount of grilled roastiness. Paired this all with a local Pilsner. Ordered the Oreo cheesecake for dessert and was not disappointed. The texture was a bit tough, but the flavors were on par with real cheesecake. The crust was loaded with dark chocolate greatness. My words cannot justify the brilliance that is this restaurant.

This restaurant is wonderful. I consider it to be a “vegan steakhouse”… it’s perfect for a romantic date night. The vegan flavors are delicious and consistent - we’ve been here three times now and will definitely be back. I recommend the cauliflower wings and the hot and crispy sandwich… yum!

You don’t have to worry about parking; it’s in an open lot outside the restaurant.

Great plant-based hardy food as always. Highly recommend the hummus as an entrée. You’ll be stuffed and satisfied! Chocolate dessert was also fantastic. Finished other half at home. A little noisy with hard benches.

First time at BP. I placed a reservation for 10:00 today because I wasn't sure what to expect but there were few diners. Brunch was excellent! The oyster chicken and waffle did not disappoint. The waffle was soft and delicately sweetened with maple syrup, topped with a vegan cream cheese sauce and buffalo sauce, which was underwhelming, but not a complaint! The waffle was piled high with the breaded oyster mushrooms that have a chicken-like texture ($22). I had 2 cups of organic drip coffee with oat milk and an orange mimosa. Service was great! The servers were attentive and even tried to serve my partner coffee even though he didn't order it. I offered to take it but she would rather serve me a hot refill, which she did. I know this place has had some ebbs and flows recently, but since this was my first time, I recommend the experience.

Amazing vegan food with incredible flavors. The variety of options is wonderful, from the appetizers to the main course. They have a wide selection of fun drinks as well. Our server, Celeste, was incredibly friendly and very attentive.

So this place is AWESOME. The mock tails are great and the vibe is solid. We went for brunch and the chicken ranch was amazing; the Farmhouse Scramble is what anyone would want for brunch! I’m not vegan but this was an amazing plant-based meal.

Upscale vegan restaurant with a simplified menu and great offerings.

We were surprised at the small number of options offered, but in a way it felt good because there was a lot less decision making. Ordering was simple, fast and easy.

We went with the kimchi broccoli for the appetizers, the friend chicken and the Nashville burger.

The kimchi broccoli was very good! The sauce was a bit spicy, with an incredible tingly flavor to it. The portion was a bit small, especially since it is a “cheap” vegetable. In any case, the kimchi broccoli was a good and enticing starter.

As per the entrees, I enjoyed the Nashville burger a more than the fried chicken, but the fried chicken plate was absolutely massive. Two large seitan, deep fried breast, with a satisfying crunchy finish. The mashed potatoes and broccoli were also pretty good but the vegan gravy made the dish. It tastes very similar to real gravely but it’s so much lighter.

As per the Nashville sandwich, wow. I only wish it was bigger (but that’s because I have an incredible appetite). Super crunchy, nice kick, and super light surprisingly. Topped with cabbage and other light veggies, it was a very light and refreshing burger.

Overall, this was an awesome vegan spot. The options are limited, but that makes it much easier to choose a meal, and ensures that their plates are very high quality. The servers were also very friendly, and the atmosphere was great. Absolutely recommend for a nice vegan date night

Saw the place while searching for vegan food and it literally was pulling me in. We got there and were asked if we had reservations because of the holiday making the spot busy. We didn’t but they seated us anyway. I ordered biscuits and gravy and my ol lady ordered chicken and waffles. She still eats meat but she doesn’t mind eating what I eat. First bite made her eyes buck. She couldn’t believe how good it was. I took a bite of the biscuits and was highly impressed! The waiter was so kind and he made sure we were taken care of. WILL DEFINITELY RETURN! HIGHLY recommend!!!!

I can't wait to go back!!! Love love love this place! And listen up, I ordered a lot of food too. The wings, poutine🤌 , Nashville hot chicken sandwich, tons of drinks, chicken steak, AND BREAD PUDDING🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌

The Beer Plant is a place I could eat everyday .. yes it's a Vegan restaurant .. but it's not the kind of place that says, " oh vegan, so you only eat salads? " .. This is really delicious food .. and portions big enough we brought home leftovers!
The beer list is extensive, .. over 60 draft brews .. and all still vegan. ( Yes some beer has milk in it .. such as Milk Stouts)
It's I had a wonderful local Porter. They also have a full bar, and a good wine selection.
Overall, .. this is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to .. not just vegan restaurants, not vegetarian, .. of all restaurants I've been to .. this is among the best.
The service is also really great .. everyone works together for the best experience. Our server Becca was exceptional!

Definitely give this place a try .. you'll be impressed!

Buffalo Cauliflower Wings, White Cheddar Mac and Cheese and Red Velvet Cake for the win! This place did not disappoint! They have the best Mac and cheese that I have ever had. My waiter Joe was friendly and helpful. I appreciate his service!

This is hands down the best vegan place I’ve been to. I’m from Toronto Canada and I thought we had good vegan restaurants!

The chicken sandwich was so crunchy and packed with flavour. The grilled cheese tasted like the real thing! I’ve been searching for a good vegan Mac and cheese and this is it! I generally don’t like vegan cheese but I’ve been optimistic that good vegan cheese exists and The Beer Plant really nailed their dishes that have “cheese” in them.

The delivery fee is kinda of high - we are in east Austin and it was $6 just to deliver on door dash but honestly so worth it.

I highly recommend this place even if you aren’t vegan.

I don't know how they did it but the vegan crab cakes had the exact texture of crab cakes. I was perplexed!!! The eggplant Parm looked really good. The bread pudding was ok. We don't like coconut flakes so that was meh.

Delicious vegan restaurant in Austin. Came here for brunch and ordered mimosas, a Bloody Mary, the ham and cheese kolache, the tofu scramble, and chicken and waffles. Everything was super tasty and delicious. They have a nice outdoor seating area with heaters and an extensive high quality beer list

Soooooo delicious!! Some of the best cauliflower buffalo wings i have ever had. Homemade vegan blue cheese dressing was out of this world.

Everything was so delicious!! No extra seasoning needed! I had the Tokyo Blue and I was blown away!!
