Mountain Star Hotel

Loved this place, 5 stars. The setting (gorgeous mtn views overlooking the pool), the spacious rustic rooms, and the genuine staff at the front desk made such a difference. The lobby is even beautiful with high ceilings where you eat breakfast: was decorated tastefully for the holidays. I will recommend to family when in town. Thank you so much for high customer service. Safe too!!

I was there for the Thanksgiving Holidays. The accommodations were good. The hotel is a little old but very charming. When I checked in, the young lady assisting me checked my room to make sure it was clean and ready. The room was comfortable and had everything that I needed. The location was perfect and easy to navigate. The staff was pleasant and I would definitely stay here again.

This is a great lodge. I had to book something last minute, and they were able to accommodate me at a fair price.

The front desk receptionist was personable and funny, so check in was pleasant.

The overall feel was very charming, and exactly what I wanted for my first night in Texas.

An added bonus was they had the western channel, so I was able to watch Gunsmoke on TV before going to bed.

Anyone who left less than 5 stars is probably a city slicker from New York, so please ignore their reviews. Come support a local business. You won't be disappointed.

Enjoyed staying there and the service was excellent. Alexa went above and beyond in several areas and when we needed help she was so polite and professional that we never felt like a burden. She was incredible and so was the view from our room. The breakfast was great and there was quite a bit to choose from including hardboiled eggs, breakfast sandwiches, fresh waffles and more.

I loved the view. The room wasn't bad at all. The bed on the other hand was very lumpy and uncomfortable. I woke up with back pain. Otherwise the view is nice and the patio view is impeccable. They had two beds, room available for $100 cash. It was worth the view and the complimentary breakfast in the morning. Had a small microwave and refrigerator in the room. The curtains were nice, kept the room dark and has a beautiful decorative beach like picture. Overall I'd definitely go back. Maybe next time get a king bed. I loved this place. Definitely definitely go back there. Thank you.

Pool looks like it hasn't been clean, breakfast was ok. Sweet lady in the front came and check us in late. Rooms are nice and clean, however the bed spring needs to be changed.(it makes sounds when you move)

This location is a hidden gem! Beautiful views on the property are a plenty! The cleaning crew were professional and respectful to guests belongings. The desk staff were very helpful and made the stay so much better! Great place that's conveniently near everything!

nice room, very clean, weird shower switch, took a minute to figure out how to switch from the tub spout to the shower, just never seen this type before, was interesting. Loved the room, except for 1 thing.. the strange sounds that kept coming from the door. Never could figure out what it was. Very nice place though, peaceful, comfortable. Definitely going on my list of preferred hotels and motels.

Very unique with a lot of character versus cookie cutter hotel chains. The owners are warm and friendly. They are working hard remodeling the entire property. Our room was a spacious suite with an extraordinary view of the hill country.. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Good continental breakfast.

Surprisingly nice hotel for the price range. Rooms are a little dated but I understand the new owner is going to be upgrading now that the state is open again. The location has great views and the grounds are well landscaped and manicured. Staff is efficient and friendly and the outdoor pool is wonderful and shares some of the views. I would recommend staying here.

They deserve 5 starts in my experience. Stayed here Labor Day weekend with a large group event for the 3rd year in a row and I will tell you this place has VASTLY improved since the family took over. The friendliest and most accommodating staff and warm and inviting atmosphere. The place is very tranquil and relaxing, the rooms are nice with great A/C. I have 0 complaints other than I do not live nearer so I can stay there more often.

This lodge is really a nice little gem with beautiful views. Our suite is so spacious, clean and smells great. The night and morning quietness here is so peaceful, and they offer breakfast!!! I would definitely stay here again and I also recommend it :)

This place was amazing! The rooms were clean and well taken care of, including the bathrooms. We were a part of a large wedding party that took up all but one room on the property and Mountain Star Lodge was more than prepared for us and accommodated every need.

We enjoyed hanging out by the pool and relaxing on our porch. Mountain Star Lodge has a great view of the hill country! If you're looking for a little getaway or even a staycation, this place is a perfect little slice of Texas Hill Country!

We were really impressed. The room was spacious, a private balcony and a breath taking view. Very comfortable and clean. I really enjoyed staying at Mountain Star Lodge. Definitely would stay again.

Lovely place, would come back for the great service. The owner or manager was incredibly friendly. There were a lot of little pleasantries we didn't expect- good selection for continental breakfast, tasty coffee, nice views, cozy lobby area, nice shampoo, extra pillows and blankets already in the room. Definitely stay here if you're visiting Reimers State Park and want to relax back at a place with real character.

Unbeatable for the price. The private balconies and view are incredible. Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to someone else. Wish I could have stayed longer. Many thanks.

The Mountain Star Lodge is essentially an upscale motel, since there's no elevator and no interior hallways. However, it's only a two-story building, so that wasn't a real concern. There's also plenty of parking. The property is very clean and well maintained. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Although the windows face a valley in the Lake Travis Hill Country area, you can't see a lot of it from your room because of the beautiful oak trees in the courtyard. All rooms have a balcony with a table and two chairs and I definitely spent some time relaxing on the balcony since the weather was so beautiful when we were there. I'm sure it'd be less comfortable in July, but it was very nice in November :-)

Loved the view from our balcony. Our room was excellent with great amenities. Pool area is well kept. Park, restaurants and retail stores are a 5 minute drive. Above all very nice employees.
