Babe and I stumbled upon this establishment after a hike. I have to say that this is one helluva great place to visit. The food and execution has not disappointed in the two occasions we've visited. We did the tasting menu on both occasions, and it will continue to be the reason why we visit each season. And to boot, the service is stellar and wonderful! 😍

Also, this is clearly a more posh restaurant, but we felt just as welcomed in our post-hiking gear too. This is highly recommended. 🤌🏿❤

What a memorable 40th anniversary trip to Forks Restaurant & Inn! As foodies/travelers from near a big city, we’ve had the opportunity to dine at some excellent restaurants. This was among the best on all scores-quality of food and drinks, friendly service, comfortable, cozy setting, wonderful views. We stayed 3 nights in one of their 5 rooms (clean, but basic) and ate all 3 nights in the restaurant. So convenient, just steps away. The tasting menu the first night gave us a glimpse at what treats were in store for the next two. The menu changes seasonally, as you can tell from the reviews. Outstanding creativity by Chef Eric. Trevor at the front, Drew at the bar, and the 3 friendly and attentive servers all made us feel a part of this family-run business. Thanks to all who left reviews. We would never have found the Fork without you!

The rooms here, at least in the restaurant building are large but basic and in need of upgrades. The king bed especially was terrible and there is no breakfast. Go here for the restaurant instead! The restaurant and bar are fantastic! This is one of the best meals we've ever had and we consider ourselves foodies. We went with the six course which is a great value and you get to pick each course from the menu. Every course was wonderful, though neither of us cared for the sweetness of the shecrab soup. The cocktails were inventive and delicious! We sat on the front porch with a view of the mountains. The second night we had drinks and split an entree at the bar. We'll definitely be back even though we're a 3 hour drive away.

My husband and I took my parents here for dinner. We loved the view and the food! I enjoyed the evening with a dandelion tea martini (I highly recommend this drink) by the fire place. All 4 of us enjoyed our food, just try not to fill up on the delicious bread before the food gets to you!

What an amazing experience at The Forks this evening. The views are breathtaking and the food is absolutely next level! As soon as you take the first bite, you can instantly tell this is not your normal restaurant! This is a true dining experience with flavors that hit your palette in perfect harmony! Yes - it’s really that good! We cannot wait to visit again!

What a great evening. The food was some of the best fine dining I have ever had. Room was perfect for a quick getaway with amazing views. Staff was very great too.

Absolute perfection. The atmosphere, the food, the service is above and beyond. Would recommend just to take a trip here to enjoy their seasonal menu. I ordered the Chicken curry which was a culinary experience by itself. My husband ordered the tenderloin filet and was really satisfied, however I shared with him the Chicken curry and he loved it!! As a dessert we split a crème brûlée, which was so smooth that it melted in our mouth and the crunchy texture complimented the dessert in a excellent way. The funny thing is we found this spot after a long day of hikes and it was the only restaurant that popped up on our maps because we had no signal in the area. This place is a hidden gem!!!

Just happened to come across the forks last weekend and so glad we did. Didn’t have a reservation but fortunately for us a table cancelled that eve so the staff kindly worked us in. Surprisingly elevated menu for a small town in this part of WV. Family owned and operated with terrific views. Expect to pay a bit but the food and experience is more than worth it.

We spent 2 nights at the inn, having dinner there both nights. The room was large, clean, and well-appointed. Lovely view of the mountains from the small adjoining deck.

I couldn't have expected anything more scenic or romantic for a weekend getaway dinner providing the perfect setting. There was a fog over the valley below and it was as if you were dining above the clouds literally. I will say the food was very good and well presented. They have a large selection of vodka and bourbons. The Shrimp Bisque was delicious. Our waiter's name was Jay, he was very friendly and attentive. I would have given this place 6 stars for just nailing it on every detail. As with any restaurant you could probably find flaws but at the end of the day you're in the rural mountains of West Virginia. I almost ended up at a BBQ restaurant which was a roadhouse style environment which would not have been anywhere near as perfect.
Thanks again to The Forks staff for making it a memorable occasion for my lady and I.

This place is wonderful for a quiet getaway. Great for a romantic getaway. The views are fantastic. We also ate at the restaurant and got the best meal ever. Thank you, Jay, for the outstanding service. This is just what the doctor ordered. If we could we would move there.

An all-around amazing experience! The food, service, and location were all sublime. We heard great things about The Forks, so we had high expectations, and they exceeded them in every way. Host Trevor welcomed us like old friends when we arrived, and his bother Drew served as both host and barkeep extraordinaire. We will unquestionably be back to visit soon.

This is such a beautiful place in the west va mountains! Great room with awesome deck and even a little table inside the room with fresh cut flowers 💐😀 peaceful and quiet to stay there, and also an excellent outdoor dining area with large and beautifully decorated deck to eat on....food and drinks were excellent and all around a unique, quiet special and charming experience and perfect getaway destination with amazing mountain views!

This is a rare local find of its type. Great food and specialty cocktails, and I enjoy the atmosphere immensely in the restaurant, which has an amazing view. I enjoy going regularly on a Thursday or Friday evening. 😊

My review of the restaurant “The Forks” is based on fresh impressions. Just yesterday we visited this wonderful place. And I am happy that I discovered it for myself.

The restaurant is located 10 minutes from Elkins. The place is very beautiful. Stunning mountain views from the restaurant terrace. The staff and service are of a very high standard. The menu is small, but quite interesting and balanced. Our waiter was very nice. He provided the most complete information about all the dishes from the menu and was very delicate during dinner. I can confidently say that the waiters in the restaurant are real professionals. All meals and drinks were served at the correct time. We opted for a 6 course course for our dinner. It was a wonderful experiment. All dishes were well prepared and complemented each other. Appetizers, soup, steak - everything was of the highest quality. Cocktails and wine are also worthy of attention. The weather was very comfortable for our dinner on the terrace. Beautiful music, beautiful view, delicious food, wonderful waiter and wonderful drinks - all this made our evening unforgettable. I recommend visiting the restaurant. Especially in autumn, when the mountains take on an absolutely incredibly beautiful view. This is one of the best locations for couples to have a romantic dinner in a beautiful setting with good food and drinks.

We went to The Forks for our 2 year anniversary and it was amazing. We got the 6 course meal and everything was delicious. The Cream of Burrernut Squash soup was our favorite part. I wanted to share my highest recommendation for the establishment.

Hidden off Kelly Mountain Road near Elkins WV, The Fork combines a fantastic view with a gourmet menu. The menu is diverse - steaks, salmon, chicken, pork chops and a vegetarian delight that features roasted butternut squash, crispy chickpeas, sweet potatoes, apples and toasted walnuts. The six course tasting menu is a great value and allows diverse sampling of their cuisine. Service was excellent -- highly recommend. You can leave a message and they will reserve your table and return the call!
