If you're staying at Canaan Valley Lodge, go here for breakfast, not the place that's closer. Super quaint, where the locals go, awesome food, very affordable.

Had dinner here after hiking and the food was absolutely amazing! You can see the hard work and dedication to the restaurant. The service may be slower at some times but it’s well worth the wait!!! When we came they were 2 workers and we got our food within like 10 minutes!!! It was amazing!!!

We had breakfast here around 9am. The food and prices are great. There was one employee running the hole show, and she did an outstanding job.
We always stop to eat when we are close.

Wonderful. So glad we stopped by. A traditional home away from home eatery (a time capsule of times gone by). Prompt service from Amy, who was a marvel both serving AND cooking! But best of all was our conversation with the owner Shelby. What a lovely person! Her wisdom and humour was much appreciated. So glad we dropped by! We’ll be back!

Went to this place on the way to a caving convention. The food was absolutely delicious. It was so good that we went back a second time. The waitress was one of the hardest working people that I've ever seen. The restaurant was spotless as well. I haven't had eggs that good since my grandmother made them for me when I was a little girl :-)

Great food for a GREAT price and the history lesson from the lady who owns it was wonderful after a 4 day hike. If you care about your taste buds I greatly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is a pleasant surprise in Harmon. The food is Excellant, the hospitality was wonderful. We had breakfast and the eggs were cooked perfect. I would recommend this place hands down.

The one negative review should be deleted on this Google profile, there’s no useful information in it and almost certain no restaurant owner would invite back in. Anyway, awesome spot, expectations were exceeded and the vibe screams WV hospitality. Highly recommend this slice of heaven. Cheers!

Had driven by the Allegheny Restaurant many times, but stopped in for the first time today. Had the rise and shine breakfast- home cooked value! Shelby was wonderful to talk with. The restaurant has been operating since 1946. Shelby is a treasure of local knowledge and lore - she's been there since 1962. Very enjoyable! We'll be going back.
