Blackwater Outdoor Adventures

My family and I had the best time! Some of us were pretty nervous as most of us had never participated in white water rafting before. It was class 2 and 3 rapids which was so fun and perfect for beginners. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Someone on the staff took pictures while we were rafting which was awesome since we didn't take phones. When we were finished we were given water and granola bars for the ride back. They also have a facility with bathrooms, showers, and changing rooms so we didn't have to drive all the way home soaking wet. It was awesome. We all said we would do it again in a heartbeat!

We chose to spend an afternoon here as a large group while visiting the area for a family reunion. A couple of us were late and they were extremely patient and kind. They have everything you need if you come even slightly unprepared. We all had such an amazing time and I'm happy this was recommended to us for our afternoon. Thanks to everyone for being so accommodating and ensuring we had such an awesome time. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with a duckie float trip with Blackwater last weekend. All of the guides and staff were extremely kind and professional, and they put us at ease on the river. Lunch was delicious and included a great variety of different foods. If we are ever down in the West Virginia area we would hands down use BOA again!

Since finding out about this place, our family has been probably 4-5 times. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend, and will definitely be returning!

Very friendly staff helping you get ready and take you to the launch spot. We did the 8 mile run on kayaks. Super beautiful and protected stretch of the Cheat River. Just enough rapid excitement and fine for for any novice paddlers. You feel fully "away from it all" out there, and you really are!! The entire area is fantastic. Changing rooms and shower when you get back which is a nice touch if you have a drive ahead of you.

Everyone was super friendly. The lazy river was perfect. They have a hot shower to clean up afterwards. If I am every in that part of WV I would do it again. I also recommend the cooler tube which is a rectangular tube with a bottom. My 9 friends had a blast. They drop you off at a spot and you float back to BOA

We had a great experience with Blackwater Outdoor Adventures! They are very professional, organized and enthusiastic about what they do! Sam and Lillian were excellent guides! Very informative and skilled. Lillian led us through class 2 and 3 rapids, making the most out of the experience for novices like ourselves. The scenery is beautiful and there were even opportunities to swim and jump off rocks. Excellent trip!

Absolutely love this place. Patrick, Liz and the entire crew are amazing people and run a great outfit in a gorgeous location. If you want the best raft, kayak, canoe or tubing experience on the Cheat, there is no better outfit to deal with.

Awesome experience! We are visiting from Wisconsin and wanted something fun to do as a family. We settled on tubing, and it was great! We all had a great time floating, swimming, and spending an afternoon together. The staff was also amazing! They took care of all of our needs. Highly recommend!

So much fun, a great company to get us on the river safely. We had an awesome time two days in a row— one white water rafting and one tubing with a group of 18 between the ages of 4 and 70! Everyone had a great time.

What an awesome, relaxed river float company. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the gear was well taken care of, and the option of having a 2 mile or 4 mile float was excellent.

Everyone on staff was friendly & fun. Sam was the first person we met when we arrived & he was freaking awesome, had us laughing every step of the way & had such an easy going personality, we loved him. Our guide's name was Tatum(I hope I spelled that right) & she was the absolute best! We had so much fun hitting the rapids with her & was great to chat with while we floated along waiting for the next one. So looking forward to doing this again

We have went rafting three times with BOA and had a fantastic experience every time. Our experience today was easily the highlight of our vacation. The rapids and scenery is second to none. Sam and Corey are professional rafting guides. If you are looking for an unforgettable and amazing outdoor adventure then make sure to try BOA!

Awesome! Great for kids or 1st timers. Went rafting then tubing the next day. Kids ranged 8 to 12 and had a blast!

Highly recommend! It was my first time white water rafting and I had a blast! They went out of their way to make everyone feel safe and comfortable. They also go out of their way to provide a trip curated to having fun for everyone. Liz is great! And our individual guides Syd and Lillian were a blast!

What a great weekend away! Great place, friendly people and clean hot showers for camping. White water rafting was great as was the fishing on the river. Highly recommend this place for a get away!

We took our 11yr old quadruplets tubing for the first time! They had a blast. Definitely recommend water shoes and not just flip flops- they sell them in their gift shop if you can't find them anywhere else. Water was clear and beautiful and the kids could touch the bottom standing for most of the float. No crazy rapids either. Great time, friendly staff, loved it!
