Hungry Hobo Sub's

Hungry Hobo is a great place for a quick sub. The bread is made fresh and super soft. The grilled cheese and tomato soup is my absolute favorite. It's definitely a winner in my book.

Food was good.. they were pretty slow and it took a while to get fries after my sandwich came.. but it was all around pretty good.

Hungry Hobo used to be Little Kings when I was a teenager in Rock Island. Everytime I go back to the Quad Cities I eat at Hungry Hobo at least once a day (usually lunch). No one can compare! They are better than Subway, Fireside, Jimmy John's etc. etc. Their bread is the best and you get great value for your $.

As always, the food was very good (much better option than Subway). The employees are always very friendly. The best part about this Hungry Hobo is the very generous owner who really cares about his community. Because of the welcoming atmosphere he has created within his restaurant, not only will I continue to be a loyal customer, but I will share my experience here with the many families in this community I am connected to. Thanks for embodying the “we’re all in this together” mentality during this pandemic. Your community members appreciate you and will continue to support your business!

Was a nice clean place to eat wish Dubuque had one

One of the best sandwich places hands down! They have the softest bread and they make it fresh. They make your sandwich to order. They may not have the extra toppings that some of the other places have, but these guys are the original of the Quad Cities. You can't get grilled steak at JJ or Sub.

Don't waste any more time looking for the perfect restaurant. Get yourself down to Hungry Hobo. I live in Florida but whenever I'm in Eastern Iowa, I always stop at the Hungry Hobo in Eldridge for a Reuben and a baked potato. The staff are so incredibly friendly. The place is clean. Parking is REALLY easy and did I mention that the staff are REALLY friendly?

I first ordered my sandwich online for a drive through pick up. Everything was correct on the order and it was on time. This is in a small town (for me) so any kind of wait time should be negligible.

Good food every visit. I go almost everyday. Big dude is very nice at the window. Easily the best hobo no doubt. Quick service, very polite. Workers are better than before for sure. Good work Hobo

Super friendly and helpful staff. We had a mistake on our order and the staff member brought our food to our car, with no attitude, and taking responsibility while remaining kind and friendly. The food is always delicious and at comparable prices.

If you're new to the QCA or if you're just traveling through, The Hungry Hobo is a tradition in this area. The sub shops are sprinkled around the greater Quad Cities and are one of the local favorites. Fresh meats and cheeses, fresh baked bread and piping hot baked potatoes. The Hobo very rarely disappoints. Fast service comes at no extra cost. So stop by and have a number 11 with provolone or 33 Taco-tatoe they're all good.

Dropped in with 12 people for my son's birthday party at about 4"30pm tonight. They not only got all the orders correct but made everything quickly and delicious. Great job all.

First time trying this restaurant. Very good, very reasonably priced, and very friendly staff. Very good sub style sandwiches and lots of sides. We'll stop again when passing by.

I reviewed this previously and the service was poor, but now after going back multiple times with good experiences I changed my rating. They have great subs!!

Something different for us as take out and it provides quality food at a decent price with friendly service.

Yum. Just yum. Their fries and sandwiches. Love how it is the same every time, never disappoint.
