I drive 45 minutes to this location and they did not disappoint. The interior was clean. The staff was friendly and efficient, greeting me right away and taking my order. The food was ready within 20 minutes. They sent a text to let me know. I opened the food right away and noticed the chicken was hot, crispy, and juicy. Once I finished eating six wings, I noticed that I didn't have fries. I went back in and they gave me hot, fresh fries. I will definitely be back!

Simple Menu. Chicken, Tilapia + 3 sides. Good size chicken with simple subtle taste. ❣ the deals (5 Meals for Under $5). Clean bathroom. 2 outlets by the wall, near tables.

MILD SAUCE has more substance in texture and flavor than Others.

Kind Lady asked if I wanted 2 legs or thighs on my 3-pc DARK order. Most places, you don't have a choice. Thank you. I also appreciate her Watermelon Crush recommendation. 😘😘

Came here to finally see what the West side is all about. I'm not here to say if it's better than Harold's or not, but I can say that it's good... Real good. Service was quick and chicken was saucy. I got no complaints. West side might be on to something...

Listen, first of all I'm not sure what they put in that sauce but I had to buy a couple of bottles. The catfish the chicken the slaw the fries....baby, this place did NOT disappoint!!!! I absolutely loved this food! The customer service was on point as well. I absolutely love the food in Chicago and this is why. When I come back, I'll definitely be stopping here always! Oh and you couldn't dine in while I was there and the interior was clean.

I definitely recommend stopping in at this location. The chicken was fresh and cooked correct. And they don't play with your emotions (your stomach emotions:when your stomach is set on a certain food only for your order to be cancelled before you arrive for pickup). We will definitely be returning to order more in the future. Give them a try

I finally had the pleasure of experiencing this legendary restaurant and it exceeded my expectations. The fish and chicken were cooked to order (so there's a waiting period; it's best to phone ahead). Everything was ABSOLUTELY delicious and fresh!! From the fries to the sauce to the dinner roll.... I LOVE this place. Best chicken EVER! Please come to the south suburbs!!

The absolute BEST fried chicken I have ever had in my life. So worth driving for. Fries are delicious and crispy without being close to burned. I don’t know how they do it. And, I don’t care how they do it as long as they keep on doing it.

Okay so I'm a doordasher and I deliver their food sometimes and I just have to say-- the staff here is absolutely sweet, always smiling always friendly I have never had an issue.
Today I received some wings and fries and let me tell you-- I have never been one for barbecue chicken, but this was by far the best chicken I have ever eaten. The fries were delicious too, and nothing was greasy. Everything was just perfect. I might just have to eat some food from them again! Can't keep my mind off of it. Delicious.

Also if the staff sees this, I'm Max, the one with the dark purple/blue heavy jacket and the black hat! ❤ You guys are awesome.

I am originally from Chicago I no longer live In Chicago I am coming there Friday after my grandpa's funeral. I love uncle Rumus chicken.

Chicken is always fresh and seasoned well. But whoever cooked that chicken today is #1 in my book. Perfect seasoning. I’ll marry him. Lol. But no, great service and great food. I had the G pan with hot and mild sauce. Keep up the good work!

Oh my gawd yall. I had never had mild sauce til trying this place and I'm hooked. I can't stop day dreaming of that beautifully smothered chicken. Take out only so I smashed in my car.

Great hospitality this day cashier was pleasant and had beautiful smile and took prompt orders. Food was great. Known for great fried chicken and the mild sauce needs to be sold in bottles,really good sauce.

Food was good and hot. We didn't order ahead so it was an waiting period. But over all worthwhile to have fresh cooked cat fish and chicken wings.

Drove 25 minutes to try this place while living here in IL. And WOW. Its everything you want it to be and more! Had chicken tenders with fries and fully enjoyed it! My fiance had the wings and Okra = LOVED THEM! For sure a must try!

I had the pleasure of having the fried Tilapia w/ fries, I went back the very next day and ordered wings! The sauce is so good I would eat by itself. The Butter cookies are tasty as well! This isn't the kind of place one expects to get five-star dining but simply greasy but great tasting food.

Uncle Remus does Fried Chicken, right!! I always enjoy their food!! Friendly staff, too!! I have been going to this place for years!! Charmaine Rickette and the Rickette's family run a tight ship. Always clean and always good!! ...and their sauce is amazing!! An easy 5 Stars!!!

One of my co-workers brought a party pan of Uncle Remus' wings to the office yesterday. They had the mild sauce on them. To say these were good would be doing a disservice to Uncle Remus. These were out of this world incredible, fantastic! I don't know how they do it, but man, Uncle Remus makes some party down wings, that is for sure.

If you want great wings, get yourself and your wallet down to Uncle Remus. Like Jay's Potato Chips, you can't eat just one. You'll want the whole pan!!!
