Electric Inspection

Im a electrician and have been in the trade for years and deal with these people all the time... sometimes multiple times a week ... all the inspectors here are very knowledgeable in all aspects of the construction process from new to remodel and up to date on NEC ... I think the other review on here is a confused customer from 1 of the home inspection companies that go online and take a test and do home inspections for prospective home buyers...

Our HVAC people requested an inspection from this company after installing a furnace/air conditioner. This company called the following morning and left a voicemail to notify me that they would be at my home between 2-3 pm that day. I called them back because that window was actually the only window that day that would not work, any other time would. After explaining this, they told me that the times are not flexible and I would be charged a $40 cancellation fee. She explained that the inspector makes their schedule that morning and changes are not made. She asked for a garage code which I did not give because I am not comfortable with someone in my home when I am not. I explained that I would not be paying that fee because I did not make the request nor was I asked when would be an acceptable time. They stated they would be notifying the HVAC company to pay the cancellation fee then since they requested the inspection. Zero flexibility with homeowners and aggressive about getting a cancellation fee when the cancellation could have been avoided with even the smallest bit of flexibility as any other time frame that day would have worked. If I had made the request myself, I would definitely go with another company.

Had an electrical inspection done on a home that I was purchasing, as required by the electric company prior to services being activated. This company missed a couple MAJOR issues!! Simple things that should have been seen by an electrical inspector, that could have resulted in either death or a major fire!! Luckily we were proactive and kept breakers off in case something was missed..

Just called to ask a question. She asked who I was, I said a master electrician, she said very condescendingly, congratulations on being a master electrician. All the questions I asked about their application, she was short and rude. VERY VERY unprofessional. When I said thank you, she just hung up. We are new to KY, the state inspectors are friendly and knowledgeable. Lets see how good the private ones are. As far as the office admin., HELL NO! I really hate most private inspection companies, most of them don't know squat. So lets see how this goes. Normally I would not really care, but this lady was the most rude person in business I have ever dealt with.
