Chester's Tavern & Pizza

I’ll keep it short. Pizza was Fantastic. Dan the owner and I had a conversation about pizza one day and before you know it , I was at the restaurant seeing what the fuss was all about. Crispy. Cheesy. Robust with flavor. You know a pizza is good when you think about it the next day!!!This is a 30 minute drive for me but definitely going back!

Their pizza comes in the quintessential Chicago pizza box - the Italian Boot with the Real Wisconsin cheese logo. Luckily, the pizza is more than worthy of the cool box. The tavern style pizza is delicious, crust is crispy. $10 pies on Mondays. The tavern is cool and modern, yet unpretentious. They recently updated the place - it's very nice.

One of the best pizzas I’ve had. On top of that the owner and workers are super friendly. The bar is super clean. The pizza is worth the drive from anywhere within reason. Highly recommend you check this place out. Small friendly bar!!

UPDATE UPDATE....Sept.2023 after reviewing, ALL the pizza places in SUMMIT. Chester's has the BEST pizza in Summit.

Love the tavern style pizza. Perfect crunch and toppings in every bite. I drive about an hour to go! Well worth it!! 5/5

Very comfortable and pleasant place. The service is great. The food is delicious. Overall, I had a great time.

We went here on a recommendation from a friend. They just re-opened about two weeks ago. We were pleasantly surprised. Pizza was amazing. Chili was very good also. Pretty much a very nice bar, but there are also tables along the front window and side wall. We sat at one of the high tops along the side wall. Bartender (Paula) was super friendly and went out of her way to talk with us. The owner also came over and talked with us for a while. Very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Service was amazing. Food was delicious. We ordered pizza, beef sandwiches, chili and meatballs. Everything that came out was hot and tasty! Newly remodeled and reopened. A great place to catch a game. They have 3 large flatscreens behind the bar. Check this place out if in the area!

What a great find! Pizza was amazing and all the other items on their menu are all homemade. Bartenders are super friendly and very welcoming. Will definitely be back. Beautifully remodeled inside.

I wanted to try their Pizza the I have heard so much about and I see that are "temporarily closed". Does anyone know if they plan on re-opening any time soon -if at all ?

UPDATE: I finally went. The pizza was delicious and we loved it. The bartender / server was one of the best we have ever had. She really makes the place. The appearance inside was awesome as well. It was nice & clean too !

Been in here a few times, ordered some pizza for work. I think I found my new favorite spot to order from. Very Friendly when you walk in.

Stopped by for lunch today….had their cabbage soup….which was one of the best I’ve ever had….and their tavern style pizza…good lord…it was super delicious….just what a Chicago style tavern pizza should taste like…thin…crispy…and delicious! …Chesters is totally renovated and modern…but still has the same charming local hometown neighborhood feel….welcome back!

Best Pizza in the Chicagoland area. Sandwiches and Soups are on point... Your favorite Cold snacks are all here, and the service is Delightful!!!!

Went for Bar Bingo. Pleasant crowd. Very nice bartender Kristie, all employees are nice. Orsis pizza is very good. Thin crisp crust. Happy hour 4-7 just before bingo. Medium Pizza & bucket special $20. Drawbacks....it's a little crowded for bingo. Colder by the front door.
