My entire experience at Loyola Cardiovascular was exceptional. They were extremely professional and efficient across the board. The care I received was second to none and would absolutely go no where else. Thank you to all the teams involved.

Wanted to say thanks to the receptionist from the ENT department, Sabrina! Such a sweetheart helping me with my insurance with a mix up. She took the time to explain things and educate me. Very caring employee :)

Renee, Julia, and all of the nurses and Orthopedic surgeons in the Pediatrics unit were amazing! They were so attentive to my son and myself and made him feel better since we were in the hospital for his birthday! They sang to him, brought him a card signed by all of the nurses and a nerf gun! They were amazing!

Saturday team is especially outstanding! I’m sure the entire staff regularly receives a lot of complaints about things beyond their control. Every one handles it with grace and humility that isn’t very typical in the world today. Thank you for all you do to serve all of your patients, regardless of the attitudes you’re met with. It is MUCH appreciated.

Just about all my doctors have offices here. The building is clean. I've never run across rude staff, they've always been very helpful. The lab is on first floor so if I have a blood draw it's done same day, same building.
All of my doctors communicate with one another so nobody is left out of the loop... and I'm not either!
I might have to drive from the far northern suburbs to go to Loyola since I moved back from Chicago but, excellence is worth the drive.

I was admitted to Loyola on Dec 11 for undetermined bleeding from my ostomy. I am from 3 hours away and . The nusres and staff were so incredibly kind and caring. I was scared and nervous and they treated me like I was their only patient. Shout out to Yolanda Smith and Bogdan and Nurse Dan for being there for me. I cant thank this staff enough for the way I was taken care of. The Doctor's were so incredible kind also.

Never usually post reviews but Loyola and it's staff deserve this recognition.

First off, folks need to realize it's a busy hospital with a volatile patient base. I came in with an extremely rough case and had to stand through it as well just like everyone else.

Moreover, once I was up to be diagnosed/cared for, the concern was apparent and even while busy, the staff did find time for me and ultimately helped me through my ailment.

I'm not sugar coating when I absolutely mean every member of staff was on point while working hard with extreme patience even with the most difficult folks entering the ICU. I saw this first hand.

From the Security Staff, to the Nurse(s), to the Neurologist, to the regular doctors - I couldn't catch most names but the gentleman working the ICU on Friday the 26th (evening) Mike was awesome and kept folks calm. The surrounding nurses too were awesome on situations as well. Some other names I can recall throughout my stay are the following: Dr. Tunga - She was thoughtful and really had my best interest @ heart. A nurse named MK who was very receptive and kind. Erika R was great. The neurologist I had was great too and whomever such as Dr. Asconpe. PCT's definitely included. Even the food service was great.

To be frank, not sure how folks can batter a place in which not only is there personnel doing a great job, but definitely a tough one that many cannot accomplish.

If everyone could get Daisy awards here then they'd have my vote.

I thank them for their professionalism and wish everyone involved there the best.

Joseph

I was taken into the ER because my implanted defibrillator fired off I was very promptly taken in and assigned an exam room, after many visits from all the cardiology teams I was admitted to 1T-09 for overnight observation. The main reason for this review is I would like to do a Daisy Nomination but I did not get her last name her first name is Estafania.

The fine people at Loyola saved my daughters life. It was a struggle but they worked hard for her. I’m so incredibly grateful for that.
Aside from their hard work the facility is also top notch. Kudos to their cafeteria. The food is excellent and not what you would expect from a hospital. I could go on and I will send a letter to all of the people that helped save my daughter. But everyone should know that there is a culture of goodness and understanding that sets them apart.

It amazes me how some patients feel that they are entitled to more rapid care than others in the Emergency Department. Such patients as those equate their wait times to the quality of the care they were ultimately provided. While pain is not pleasant for anyone, no one ever died from just pain. It is the job of the professionals to prioritize the patients and take the worst first. In a busy Level One trauma center, the wait times can be very long for less than life threatening conditions. Try to understand that. while you are waiting, the staff members are busy caring for patients that need it as much or more than you might. I praise and applaud the professionals at Loyola for the outstanding level of care that they provide to their patients. Patience on the part of patients should be paramount, if they wish to receive that high level of care.

Clean environment. Great service.
I was at Loyola Outpatient, to see any Orthopedic Thoracic Trauma Doctor for a 330pm, and was in doctors office within 10 minutes, and then one person, after another, did their job! The physician was third. Sôo, I left my home and was back within a mere three hrs including travel both directions. Yeah! Yippee!

I had an unexpected stay at Loyola for about a week and cannot say enough about the wonderful care and compassion I received from every nurse, every doctor, every tech. I feel I received the best, most comprehensive care and left confident in the treatment plan made by my entire team of doctors, from cardiology to pulmonology to gastroenterology. The nurses were so kind, so attentive, day and night. The doctors themselves were in my room every day with updates, shifts in treatment, recommendations and to share my test results with me. They were patient and answered every question I had. I was very impressed with the entire team and very glad that it where I landed given the help that I needed! Shout out to the entire team in 3SE AND THANK YOU for taking such good care of me.

My experience is with the Kidney Transplant department. I'm so grateful for the excellent job done by the surgeon (a woman, even better!) on both my surgery to remove my kidney and the one to put it in my daughter. The nephrologists and the rest of the department are all also great and their team approach gives you a secure feeling that things aren't falling through the cracks. Nothing seemed like something they don't already have a process for. The donor team nurses are so sweet and thoughtful. Feel comfortable going to Loyola for your kidney transplant. They really did a great job for us. I'm just so grateful! There is no perfect institution. Of course I've had a few long waits or other inconveniences. But those are par for the course of human life! We weren't too excited at first because of reviews, but I'm glad we went anyway. Saved my daughters life. No regrets or complaints!

I had my bladder removed (cystectomy) five years ago and had an excellent experience with my phenomenal surgeon, Dr. Marcus Quek, his staff, and the staff of the hospital itself. Something I really love about Loyola is that it has a familial feel. I'm a huge fan of this medical center.
