Took my gold pocket watch my father gave me in 1975 for cleaning and service.

Went in with 2 watches. 1 needed a battery. The other one I wanted to replace the watch band. I thought I'd be dropping them off to pick them up later. They took care of me today. I was pleased with the total cost. Thank you! I'll be back.

Place is great. I was waiting for my watch then a guy walked in. They fixed his watch and charged only $5 to take a link out. How cool is it to here someone does something still for $5. Pretty awesome. Reminded me of when I was younger. Great to still see honest companies around my home town. They put a new battery in my watch for me as well. Great place and I will be back!!

This place has things you won't find anywhere else. They are so kind and helpful. If you need a new piece or jewelry repairs, this is your place.

Took an expensive older watch in for repair. It was well traveled and showed some wear and tear. They repaired the mainspring (I think) that I destroyed when I opened the back to slow down the speed. They were quick in repairing it even though they had to order parts. The price was very reasonable! They even cleaned up the outside, it looks brand new. They were awesome, definitely will do business with them in the future.

I had found a old Gruen watch that after some family research had belonged to my great grandfather

I feel in love with the watch and was still capable of running even after 40 years in a cigar box in a garage
The watch was in need of a complete and serious overhaul internally and externally the movement was running extremely slowly, missing crystal, missing second hand and overall just needed a good cleaning

I had called around and was given very high estimates in the $350 area and many said it’s unfixable do to the age and refused to touch it and the fact the manufacture closed in the 70’s. I was referred to Swinford by a good friend that had done a lot with them and I though I should give them a try.

I stopped by and was immediately greeted which is something I don’t get a lot as easily do to me being in my early 20’s. They were eager to take a look at the watch and said that they could get it as close to new as possible at a extremely reasonable price and it wouldn’t be that hard for them to do since the watch is running under its own power.

They completely disassembled the movement, cleaned, oiled and reassembled it. Replaced the second hand that went missing so long ago with one that matched. And custom handmade a crystal lens to fit (it was a weird size and had to be arched) and cleaned the band.

I’m not going to lie it did take about a month to complete but I don’t care about that. Quality comes at a price and for being under $200 I’m not complaining especially with how it came out when I picked it up.

I know I might be crazy to put as much money as I did into the watch and it might not be worth that but for being a family item money value isn’t important.

They also did some research for me on my watch and found it’s over 80 years old and I’m pretty sure they were shocked that this old mechanical winding watch was still ticking after missing its crystal and being exposed to garage conditions for as long as it was.

They treated me as a regular client and treated my watch as a limited edition Rolex.

I will recommend them for anything jewelry related.
They also custom make jewelry and work on clocks also.

I had my father in law's classic 14 k watch restored at Swinfords. They have been and are the areas preeminent watch repair specialists. They were prompt, courteous and above all reasonable. They are even referred by other jewelers in the area as the watch specialists. A lot of people claim to know what they are doing but Swinford is the only one around with experience that can make that statement honestly. So happy with the finished watch.

I had been having trouble with a Watch i bought some years ago, and it is a nice gold dress Watch that i wear going out.

Well everytime i tried replacing the battery, dead...
I got nothing, and so rather than throw it out i decided to take it to a Watch Repair Service, and

So... I called first explaining my delima & issue and they said bring it (the Watch) right up, we'll

answer for me, Sir... that will be $10.00 Bucks

I found out about this place from other jewelry stores. This is where they send their jewelry out to be fixed. Why go somewhere else... cut out the middle man and just go straight to them. The customer service there is beyond any customer service you receive in today's society. You can not go wrong with the quality of workmanship they do. I am so very thankful I found this place.I will be going back again.
