Breidert Green Park

Welcoming and aethetically designed, this park area exuberates a sense of warmth and luxury at the same time. Plenty of benches to sit around, clean bathrooms, shops and something for everyone. Parking was not an issue. I walked towards the kids play area, pond and through the nature trail.
Update: construction of pavement and cemented trails inside park and around the lake is almost finished. It looks beautiful!

We attended the 11th annual Frankfort Bluegrass Festival July 8-9, 2023. The park is beautifully maintained and is a perfect venue for outdoor festivals. Close to restaurants and local shops.

Nice Bicycle ride down the Plank from Richton Park. Entertainment at the park Sunday evenings.

I'm a big admirer of the Frankfort area . Old plank trail and connecting walk ways are a great way to pass some time . We are like tourist , taking pics and identify plants and birds .

Breidert Green Park is a public park located in the historic downtown area of Frankfort, Illinois. The park features a large open green space, a gazebo, a playground, and a fountain. It is a popular spot for community events, concerts, and festivals throughout the year.

In the summer, the park hosts a weekly farmers' market, where visitors can purchase fresh produce, artisanal goods, and other locally sourced products. During the holiday season, the park is decorated with festive lights and ornaments, and Santa Claus makes an appearance for the annual tree lighting ceremony.

Breidert Green Park is surrounded by a number of historic buildings and landmarks, including the Frankfort Area Historical Museum and the Old Plank Road Trail, a popular recreational trail for walking, running, and biking. The park is a popular gathering spot for families, friends, and community members of all ages.

The Frankfort Bluegrass Festival at Breidert Park was a spectacular time! My girlfriend and I heard about it by chance and found out that the SteelDrivers were playing. I was skeptical that such a big name would play a fest or free concert. By the end of the night I could not not have been more pleased. The bands...all of the bands on both stages were phenomenal and played real bluegrass with their own fun twists. The town of Frankfort is beautiful and the volunteers who hosted the event were gracious and fun. My girlfriend and I only stayed for the saturday show, but next year we hope to find a B&B and kick it for the full event.

Can't say enough good things about this small venue park in the heart of downtown Frankfort. It's a wonderful place to hangout with family, catch a band during the summer or watch an early evening movie on the outdoor big screen. This park is surrounded by great restaurants as well and nicely decorated during the holiday season.

Right in the heart of Downtown Frankfort, this goes right through portions of Old Plank Trail, which is quite long, but the various shops here make the walk that much more bearable. There's ample parking and everyone is super friendly; there are bike racks and a small information "tower" nearby for trails, etc. This is great for cyclists, walkers and runners alike.

We attended the 10th annual Frankfurt bluegrass festival here and on July 9 and had a wonderful time. Perfect weather, we parked nearby and sat under trees and had a picnic, decent crowd but not overwhelming. Highly recommend

We love going to downtown Frankfort and this was our first time at the farmers market. We enjoyed having a quick snack and listening to music at Breidert Green Park. It's a great place for a nice Sunday morning!

Fun place for concerts on the green, farmers market, ice sculptures in the winter, etc. Something for everyone.

Frankfort does a great job of providing entertainment here, and even when there isn't a band playing, it's a nice relaxing picnic or just general relaxation spot. A great place to sit before during or after any of their farmers markets, because there is a lot going on pretty much every weekend!!!!!

Well tended and kept. Public restrooms are clean and well lit!

Wow! It was the Bluegrass Festival! How cool! Met some really wonderful people and enjoyed great music! The Pickers tent was especially righteous!!! The vendors were unique and informative! What a blast, I will totally be back!

Went to farmers market. Very nice. Variety of wares and samples. Music in the park. Great place to walk around and get some good plants, veggies and much more.

there for the 4th concert with the frankfort brass band. beautiful night, lovely venue, friendly folks, not too crowded. nice change from usual rock/pop concerts, not that there's anything wrong with pop/rock but it was nice to hear a french horn, coronet, and 2 clarinets. the frankfort brass band sounded great. the night was so beautiful, perfect light and weather.

update #1 went to dancing queen abba tribute concert. another great night. perfect weather and light. big big enthusiastic crowd. plenty of teenage girls dancing and singing along to the hits. felt like I was at a wedding! the band was tight, the two girls sang like angels and engaged with the crowd. great night.

update #2 went to petty kings show last night. another great night. again the weather was perfect, warm with breezy clouds and that thick golden light of the lingering summer sunset. big crowd, families, friends, kids, teens, seniors but without that crushing feeling you can get in bigger towns and up in the city. the band was tight, covering all of petty's hits and a few other r+r classics. ez parking and traffic in and out. this is a fun event folks, live music in a quaint charming small town square.
nb next up "good clean fun", contemporary pop rock sunday 8-1-21. forecast says warm and sunny!
