I had 2 fraudulent charges to my card recently. Having to deal with the issue was annoying but getting help from Citi Bank was great. I was honestly surprised in the best way. I plan to be a longtime customer because of the excellent customer service. Really appreciated.

My wife and myself stopped out at Citi Bank for a Christmas Extravaganza with lights and decorations! Even with everyone in their cars and including very careful social distancing I felt true Christmas spirit for the first time this year. There was was music and old friends shouting out hellos to friends that hadn't been together for months! Well done Citi! As Always, Enjoy!

They've always been good to me and now are facing a crisis. Please pray for all the employees as three have the virus verified.

Double cash card may be more trouble than it’s worth. Declined my card due to suspicious activity....again. Yup, an expensive meal. Sent a fraud alert text that informed me I must call them (and apparently wait on hold for nearly 10 min) to speak with a customer service rep to clear the account. Citi techs should take a cue from Chase. Fix your algorithms!! When I’m physically presenting my card, little chance for fraud. If you have the ability to send me a text alert, how about the option to confirm a transaction is legit by text, in the app, or over the phone?? I don’t need to speak with anyone on my other cards. Just simply reply yes to confirm a charge. Over the last 3 mos I’ve had to call Citi at least 5x to address issues on their end. Their algorithms; Citi holding my payments for over 5 days (policy allows up to 5 days) before crediting the account and making credit available, holding payments because I made a large payment (um, that’s what you do when you have a large balance) holding payments because I made two payments in one day, declining large purchases, and now declining a dinner. Btw, Chase had no issue w/the dinner🤷🏻‍♂. Their CS agents are very polite, but typically can’t help me. So yet another extended call to address another Citi policy driven issue. I doubt this will be my primary card for long.

I'm closing out all of my Citi cards including the retail card I have with Sears. I refuse to do business with a bank that uses their wealth to push a political agenda. I also dislike outsourced call centers, among which theirs is one of the most rude and disrespectful toward its customers that I've ever dealt with.

I have had a citi card for like 5 years have always paid on it on time. As soon as i use it i pay on it. Because i was out of work and was behind on other credit cards which I am now paying on them my credit score went down so Citi card had looked up my credit and has decided to close my account and not issue me a new card that expires the end of this month. I called them and they would not do anything. Will never get another card with them. Very upset and disappointed with this card. Will never tell anyone to get one with this company. Have other credit cards that never did this. This was not right other credit card company helped me and worked with me. Did not close me down.

Tried to pay off 2 citi cards. They cashed both checks. They put both checks on one card so now I owe on one card and 8000 credited on one. Tried explaining it for 1 month everyday and still did nothing so I told them give me my credited money back and they haven't yet. If I'm not mistaken if you steal that amount that's a felony but guess rules don't apply to citi. . Worst credit card and customer service I ever delt with by far. If your thinking about citi trust me you will not have a good experience with them . I cant bounce back with that kind of lose so if you work at citi hope you say amen at church sunday and ssk for forgiveness. Just read all the reviews on citi everywhere it speaks volumes.

Very rude customer service they blocked my account for review after I deposited my pay check through the mobile app. Will not give me a reason for the block and hang up on you after saying you want a supervisor. They put you on hold for a few minutes and come back on and say there is no supervisor available they will have to call you back this is after waiting on hold for 2.5 hours waiting for a rep just to say they can’t tell you nothing. When you ask how to get your money back they try saying nothing has posted as your account is blocked however the funds where released from the bank drawn on and the mobile app said the check posted but unavailable after asking why they say new customers we hold funds for five days even if the check clears even though they don’t tell you that when you sign up so after confronting them they blocked my account. This bank is nothing but a scam.

Terrible entity. Invest or get your credit card from literally anyone else (except Fifth Third).

I called several times, explaining my issue with Citi over and over to different agents. I had to insist on speaking to higher management since everyone said they couldn't fix the error Citi made, even though they could see it. I was given the direct phone number for a manager named Maurice Bryant who is the only one who can correct Citi's error. However, after leaving messages for days, he refuses to return my call. The customer service agent I had spoken to prior said they left notes in my account AND emailed him to call me. I've wasted hours on this already and it is obvious losing this excellent customer is not important to them.

It’s difficult to say who has the worst customer service, but Citi Bank is certainly one of the front runners. My online access has been blocked for weeks to which their outsourced customer service agents greet you with broken English, insane wait times, endless transfers, 0 resolution. I have 3 accounts with Citi and this is the first time I’ve needed to deal with customer service, but this singular (horrendous) experience certainly has me looking for other banking options.

If I could leave negative stars I would.. I spend about $12,000 a year using my card and I ask for one dispute for $76.65 for merchandise I didn’t not receive and they make me jump through hoops. I sent them all the information that I have and it still wasn’t enough. How can I buy anything with confidence, if my own credit card doesn’t have my back. Will be canceling both my cards and it’s sad that I know I don’t matter to this company and me canceling will have no affect on them.

I purchased a harness online that was too big for my dog, so I wanted to return it and buy the next smaller size. When I asked the seller what I needed to do to return the larger size for a credit I was told to place an order for the smaller size & I'd get credit for the too big size. Unfortunately, the seller was out of the smaller sizes, and I was NOT going to buy another harness until the credit for the wrong one was settled. The seller's return policy stated a 30 day return period, but that's all. I googled ratings on the seller and found an 80% negative rating, 100% caused by return problems. Then I remembered the email about placing a 2nd order also mentioned needing a Return Authorization Number prior to sending merchandise back for credit. THERE WAS NO DISCLOSURE ABOUT NEEDING RETURN AUTHORIZATION IN THE SELLER'S RETURN POLICY, ONLY IN THE SEPARATE PRIVATE EMAIL I RECEIVED.

So - I requested a Return Auth Number - TWICE - both requests were blown off, so I wasn't going to take a chance by sending it back without the RA#. Then messaging between me and the seller got off track, with multiple people contacting me, asking questions I'd already answered several times, so I contacted Citi Customer Service via chat. Of course I had to answer questions AGAIN. he asked me twice if I'd returned the product, and I explained TWICE that I had to have a Return Authorization, which the seller would not provide. I assume, since he kept ducking out of the conversation, that he was communicating with the seller - and believe they were saying they couldn't do a credit because I hadn't returned the merchandise. (The online complaints about the seller stated the seller had lied to the complainer's credit card company.) THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP DIDN'T LISTEN TO ME, HE BELIEVED THE SELLER INSTEAD OF ME, IGNORED THE REQUIREMENT FOR A RETURN AUTHORIZATION # AND DID NOTHING TO HELP ME GET THAT AUTHORIZATION (HE COULD HAVE BROKERED GETTING THAT NUMBER BUT DIDN'T), AND REJECTED MY CLAIM OUT OF HAND.

THIS MAN WASN'T GEARED FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - HE WASN'T THOROUGH, DIDN'T READ - OR DIDN'T UNDERSTAND - WHAT I WAS SAYING AND WAS NOT HELPFUL. HIS TREATMENT OF ME HAS CHANGED MY FEELING ABOUT CITI BANK FOR THE WORST. I LEFT THE CHAT SESSION FEELING CHEATED AND INSULTED. HIS ONLINE NAME WAS ERICH OR ERICK, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THIS WAS HIS REAL NAME.

I NO LONGER VALUE MY CITI ACCOUNT AS I DID BEFORE.
